Hello everybody! I've installed all CyanogenMod (6 and 7) and every time battery drains fast!
Now i'm trying CM7 RC3 and charged to 100% at 18.15.
At 20.00 battery is 84%!
I've installed some software with 3g and Wi fI but I think is not regular.
Any ideas?
Thank you all.
Clear batt stats under recovery.
Done on 100% charge. Nothing changes. Do I wipe when charhe is 0?

With battery wipe and charging phone swtched off seems to be a little bit better. Yesterday I flashed new radio and firmware and battery goes to 29%. On phone reboot battery was 50 %! Now is 8 and am approaching to wipe battery near 0. Thank you for your comments.

OK so I flashed MIUI about 4 days ago. I've been getting weird battery readings. I plug it in, it charges. If I restart it, it'll boost up about 20%. was at 80% just now an restarted and now I'm at 97% draining rapidly. I've wiped battery stats, drained the whole battery, and charged it up fully. Any help please??

Idk what happened here, my phone.double posted.
If I keep rebooting when its charging, would that speed up the process of the battery dying?

how exactly did you wipe/calibrate your battery?
I went into CWM, wiped battery stats, and then drained completely then charged fully. I can download a battery calibration app, should I try that?
hmmm seems you did it right, but a calibration app wouldnt hurt either. I recommend using Battery Calibration, I use it after a fresh rom flash everytime and it works very well
Yeah that is the app I'm using right now. Thanks for all help guys.

Hey guys. I recently rooted my gt540 for the first time. Everything went smoothly, i installed a rom with fastboot, installed clockwork recovery and then the problems came. I installed swiftdroid 2.3.7 and i noticed the battery was draining too fast. The only thing that was on was wifi. I dont even use a sim in that phone. I left the phone at home and when i came home 5hours later it turned off. I thought this rom was to blame so I installed polish blood beta 6 ics rom. When i'm using the phone the battery is draining very fast. And also when i plug it in it is recharging too fast. It goes from 40% to 60% in a minute. Before I started installing these custom roms my phone could last weeks in standby mode with wifi on. Does anyone know the solution to this problem? Thanks in advance

You have two options, first from the android market download battery calibration, charge your phone to 100 % or when phone indicates "charged", run battery calibration and click calibrate, it will remove battery stats from the system (you need to do this every time you flash a rom, the second method, after your phone is fully charged, go into clockwork recovery (power + home), choose advance, and choose remove battery stats to remove it, restart and enjoy, hope it helps!

Our phone is not suitable for later versions on android, tha one you mentioned are roms which eat a lot of battery.......if you are lookin for battery performance switch to 2.1 roms.......

So then it's not just my phone. But it seems illogical that it drains so fast. If I used this phone as my personal device it wouldnt last me even two hours of active usage. What's the point of these ROMS if they cant get you at least through the day?

I'm using SDSL final 2.3.7, and my battery last a day with constant use (using Skype, fb, twitter)
Sent from my GT540 using XDA
using sdsl final v1 last me 2 days (very low usage music sms calls) huge balls LOL
With sdsl 1 day and batt drain down to10%.
Thats the bill that you will pay by using custom roms xD

do a full wipe and reflash the rom
charge to 100%
than use a battery calibration tool
see if it works
otherwise, full wipe and another rom
When I put the phone on charge the percentage doesn't increase however it shows the charging symbol

Juice Plotter
Try Juice Plotter to monitor your batter use over time.
Did you ever leave your phone in a very hot place such as inside your car?
I've had the same problem after leaving my DHD in my car in the blazing hot sun, and it cooked up the battery which stopped providing correct battery info to the phone.
I've replaced my battery and the problem solved

Wiping battery stats is a myth. Doesn't work at all.
Probably your battery is old and used up

Have you try to test the battery capacity?.
The accurate way is to test it using mAH meter, but you might try to test it using application below:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ru.NanoDinamics.NovaTester
I've use it for testing original OEM 1530 Dell battery and it show exactly 1530mAH, and then try it again with another custom 1800 mAH Dell battery and it show 1758 mAH.. closed enough ....
