I have asked this question before but the problem was not solved.
I own a Panasonic DMR-E100H DVD & hard disk recorder that also records onto SD card. The output is an ASF MPEG4 video file format with G726 mono audio codec. My XDAIIi will play the video via Windows Media Player 10 for Pocket PC but there is no sound produced, so I assume there is no built in G726 decoder in WMP10 for PocketPC.
Is anyone aware of a plug in that can be downloaded or installed to help WMP for Pocket PC play G726 encoded files or has anyone developed software that will play .ASF files with G.726 audio codec? I have searched Handango and not found any application that will support this.
The only way I have managed to get to watch the files on my XDAIIi is by using Windows Media Converter to convert the .ASF file into a .WMV file with a playable audio codec. This process takes hours for a full length movie so it defeats the purpose of being able to use my Panasonic HDD recorder to record TV programmes to watch on the train etc.
Please can someone help or share their own experiences with Panasonic home video SD recording and playback on XDA software.
To help things along I have attached a short video clip in .ASF format as recorded on my Panasonic DMR-E100H this morning. Please try playing it to see if it plays on your XDA and let me know how your device is configured. Mine is a standard O2 XDAIIi with WMP10 for Pocket PC.

OK, am I the only guy who seems to have a problem with watching a movie that I transferred to my external 32gb microSD?
The weird thing here is I can watch the movie (.avi or .mp4 format) from my external 500gb drive.
I've used moboplayer and some other player and they won't open the file.
Why is it, I can watch them on 500gb drive but not my external microSD card?
Any suggestions?
try rockplayer, i don't have too much video on sdcard, but i can watch it only with rockplayer (or some other exotic video player that i don't remember).
in my case (.avi file from internet) the problem is codec-related, the stock video player can't play this .avi file.
a

I am trying to stream media from my Humax HDR-FOX T2 through DLNA.
I can stream SD stuff fine through DLNA however HD(1080p) either lags or doesn't even make it onto the 2nd frame dependant what video player app I try, so I was wondering if anyone knew a combination that works well on the nexus 7?
Leading on from the last question, i'm wondering if its possibly just the data rate over WiFi being too much? I've copied the file I was trying to view and the data rate is 7233kbps at 25fps so I would have thought there should be no reason for it to not work.
So I went ahead tried copying it onto the actual nexus and it plays much smoother but still not the full 25fps and i've only managed to get 10 seconds into the video before the player(DICE player and MX Player both seem to do this) backs out to the media list again, then there is V player which simply refuses to load it at all and just gets stuck on loading.
Anyone got any advice? My device isn't rooted but if it means I can stream from my humax or at least watch 1080p copied onto it then I'm willing to root.
The file type I'm trying to watch is a .ts mpeg 2 file
Thanks in advance

hey guys,
i recorded some videos from a bball game in HD. during playback the video will stop like someone was hitting pause. i checked to see if it was a storage issue, have plenty of room. I thought it was because it was recording to sd card, moved to phone storage same problem. i downloaded MX PLAYER from the app store and it works fine.
wanted to see if anyone was experiencing issues with the video player.
