When I'm making a call I'm holding the phone to my ear and somehow I end up to the dialer and dialing numbers or end call. Is there something wrong with my proximity sensor?

I was just wondering if there was a cab or something I could do to have my proximity sensor turn on when I have my speaker phone activated.
hey there is a great solution in this thread enjoy!
When I am on a call and I tilt my phone it goes to speaker phone and it is driving me crazy. I can not find a setting to turn it off. Can anyone direct me to the solution? I am sure it is easy and I am making this difficult.
Thats not a feature of the phone. When you tilt the phone your light sensor turns the screen on and your cheek presses the button

My face does not touch my screen. Why the hell does my phone go to speaker every single time I pull the phone away from my ear? The moment it tilts to the side the speaker phone turns on.
Edit: I finally figured it out. The app called Sanity is doing this. There was an option to disable the feature.
Sometimes my proximity sensor goes unresponsive during calls.
Please help me resolve it

Search this forum for things like "proximity sensor distance" "screen off when on a call" etc. and you should find some threads which detail going into the Diagnosis app and changing the sensor values so that the screen will turn off when rotated and held beside your ear on a call.

Is there a way I can disable or manually set the proximity sensor easily? It has quit functioning and as a result my screen is black during phone calls. It would be nice to use a number pad every once in awhile...
Thanks!
Edit: please reply in other thread if you know an answer. It was here first!
