I currently have a HD2 on Ebay, being sold for parts. The problem is a broken battery contact, and when I sent it to Telstra in Australia for a quote, the managed to lose the little plastic volume button on the side. It was too expensive to get fixed. It is on Ebay under the title "HTC HD2 mobile phone"
Also, in the next couple of days, will be putting up 3 x Dopod (Jasjam) phones for parts on Ebay. They all stopped working over time, due to no picture on the screen They are all in bits. The screens appear to be perfect, the problem is something to do with the way the phones were built, I'm told. Also throwing in a dead Ultimate 8502, cause it's no use to me.
Regards

Well, this weekend has been crap for me. The LCD Touchscreen on my Qtek 9000 got cracked. The phone itself appears to work other than the fact I can not see or do anything. Thankfully my contacts are all voice dial enabled.
My other problem is I lost my second Stylus so now have no stylus for the phone even if it had a touchscreen.
Is there anywhere I can purchase these parts for a reasonable price?
If not what would be a suggested replacement phone as I really loved the all-in-one near laptop nature of the Universal. In fact my only gripe with the Universal was the lack of Quad Band.
Service: Cingular/AT&T USA NJ
ebayyyy
Actually i have found lcd for 128€ and 3pack styluses for 4€
or contact PUG!
Looking over the eBay prices it definitely seems like a less expensive option than a total replacement. Found a guide on replacing taking it apart after realizing I was ignoring the search error.
My 2 weeks old Kaiser slipped from my hands and the LCD broke !! I am looking for a good repair shop in Belgium or any links from which I can procure a new LCD screen real fast! Any pointers would be helpful. Also, does anyone know if the LCD screen is covered under the HTC warranty ??
whipout ur htc carepack, call the number nearest you. They probably would fix it for you for a small charge. Keep in mind, repair shops aren't htc specialists.... So my suggestion is that you contact htc and see what they can do for you.
i feel for you :{
my girlfriend just got her LCD cracked from a roller coaster (stupid safety bars). probably going to take a few weeks for us to get a replacement screen since they don't even sell the kaiser here.
she keeps subconsciously trying to touch the screen on her interm dumb-phone... and sighs.
do it yourself! buy a replacement screen on ebay, and look for replacement instructions on this forum
how easy does the screen crack if you drop it? just for arguments sake shouldn't the phones be able to sustain a reasonable drop? After all you are constantly using it in your hands so it is likely you would drop it at least once.
Put this under you favorites

My Tilt has only 2 buttons on the right, the power and camera buttons. http://cnn.cn/shop/images/IMG_5052.JPG shows there are 3 buttons. What's the 3rd button?
I found that on expansys website while i was checking for a good screen protector... Have a look here :

Well, I've taken up a hobby of repairing all makes/models of phone that I can get parts for, so I'd be exceptionally grateful if you could provide some info as to WHERE and HOW you get them so cheaply....
TIA!
there are a few shopping mall in china that sell only spare part for pc, mobile phones and all micro electronics part.
and because most of the oem and third party parts are all made in china, its always cheaper to buy from there, I travel to china a lot, and in search for some parts, I did come across some tytn II parts.
but then you need to live in china or hong kong just like me, so you can go back and forward.
I can also let you know that only micro electronics parts and mobile spare parts are cheaper in china, PC stuff are cheaper in hong kong, as well as back up service.
you need to go to wha qheung ( my own english translation) street along the china railway system, most of them do bulk buy and send overseas, but its best to be there in person, as you cannot trust them sometime.
next time i'll get the address when I go over again, but i'll don't think you will travel there.

hi all,
i have a toshiba tg01 for swap for htc hero.
the tg01 is essentially a hd2 in a different skin, great phone, just not for me anymore
phone is immaculate, zero scratches and complete box with all original bits and bobs
looking for a quick swap, based in essex, united kingdom (right near lakeside shopping center)
pm me for offers
**other android phones considered
I got mine changed by Orange, the three replacement tg01's they sent *all* had the same problem - low / no mic volume.
Eventually talked to someone who offered a replacement choice of three different phones, one was Hero, smiles all round.
Worth trying

Hi all,
I have to admit I have a sneaky feeling this should not be here but I'm not sure where to put it... It's not strictly a accessory but anyway, if it is wrong, please do advise.
I'm after anyone here who has or knows of a someone that sells HD2 spares?
I obtained two screen repair HD2s - both have been tampered with previously and while the units both work fine, the front keypad ribbon is broken in two so the keys are not responding.
I have managed to source 2 LCD's but without these buttons, I'm lumbered with two units and two brand new LCD units.
Appreciate any help on this!
Thanks,
Akash

Not sure if this is much help but I did recall seeing a guy on Craigslist in Toronto selling an HD2 in mint condition except for the fact that the glass screen looked like it took a bullet. The LCD was perfect underneath and no scratches anywhere. Not quite sure how someone can do that to it and keep in mint at the same time but anyway it was posted in April and they were asking for around $300 CAN.
Thanks for that suggestion
I have actually been looking around Ebay UK (Where I am) for faulty HD2s but no one will sell them cheaply so...
Bit the bullet and requested a return on the LCD - the seller will refund me the full value back. Just wish I could get these parts as the rest of the unit is mint and given that I've already stripped the screen off (not the easiest task!), it would have been great just to put it back together in a working state.
Thanks again and if anyone does have any other suggestions in getting hold of the keypad, I would appreciate a quick note on it
I bought a broken HD2 on ebay about a week ago,it had a cracked digitizer,I thought it would be an easy fix,and it is,but in the process of taking it apart,I tore the cable going to the buttons. Does anyone have a broken hd2 they would be willing to sell the buttons from? I looked on ebay and there are only 4 of them all in china with expected delivery of about 32 days. I was hoping to have my phone working again in a few days, not a month. any help would be appreciated.
yeah
ill sell you my broken hd2 phone for 300
not really helpful,I only paid $187 for the one I have and all I need is the buttons, the rest of my phone is fine now.(just to make it clear,I need the board/cable for the buttons below the screen, not the plastic piece, the actual button board)
