JUST the AOSP lockscreen? - Epic 4G General

I just did a search and didn't find it (I'm on my phone though) and I was wondering if someone knew where I could get a .zip to flash through clockworkmod that would change JUST the lockscreen from the TW one to the AOSP lockscreen. Anyone know where I can get that?

What rom and version of android are you running?

The newest version of syndicate

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=977416
Here it is. This will work just fine on 1.0.2.
Please search a little more thoroughly in the future.

FYI the landscape mode of the AOSP lockscreen looks hokey. No one has been able to get the images to change orientation so it uses the same images as in portrait mode. It is still functional though, just thought you should know.

I just flashed the stock dk17 beta rom and I noticed that the new beach live wallpaper is not present. I saw that it was included in the older dj29 rom. How can I get that live wallpaper? I really want that?? Could someone save that apk and upload it possibly?

Save it for when you get froyo,Its a nice live wallpaper and it was in Dj29 build
but not in DK17 .I dont know if its going to be in the official release. But i also liked it..
I tried installing it directly into the ROM itself and then reinstalled the ROM, and while it worked and is on my list of wallpapers, it still FC's. Oh well.
It works for me just fine. I downloaded the apk and installed it and that was it.
Are you running any special ROM or kernal? Maybe I'll just downloaded one of the leaked Froyo's, open it w/ 7zip and see if I have better luck extracting the .apk directly from the ROM itself. I'll keep you guys posted.

Eazail70x7 says he got it running on his phone, so that's why I asked if he's running a special ROM/Kernal...since he didn't fill out his signature, I don't know if he's running 2.1 or a leaked 2.2.
Sorry, I'm on 2.2
It only works on 2.2

EDIT: NVM FOUND IT THNXS I LOVE YOU <3
Anyone running this with Jt's rom? I like the .gif support that I had with the stock app but I am not sure if just the app will get that back. Not a deal breaker though. JT's rom is great.

Droid X - Default

OK guys first off: This is my first android device, and I want it to be as fast as possible.
This being said, I just want either a DEFAULT Froyo 2.2 or default gingerbread 2.3 which means none of these stupid themes that motorola puts on it. Now here is why I'm here:
Is there a way without having to go through like 20 different steps in order to get the default android skin on my phone? I've jailbroken many a iphone but this android stuff is very new to me, so I was also wondering if there is an IRC channel I can go to or if someone would be nice enough to either guide me through or pm me through how to root my new phone?
thanks,
mike

I have been reading the stickies, I've also been reading about the roms and themes but there is some lingo in those posts as well as concerns.
For instance for the themes I've read several posts where it says to just load the themes on a rooted device, and yet others like the wiki here which says that specific themes are for specific ROMS.
Another problem with the stickies is I have no clue when someone last updated them, because some like the one for "Easy Root" or "z4root" MUST be old cause you can not find that app on the android Market place.
I just want to make sure that I'm getting the latest programs and such. I also wrote this because the one thing that me as well as a lot of other people want which is: Default Froyo. I dont want a custom theme, I want stock Froyo in all it's glory! Can anyone tell me of an easy to install ROM or easy to install theme that has this??
P.S. If there is an IRC channel for XDA could someone tell me about it? Cause I cant seem to find it at all

I have read most of that, and I get the first post, but then you seem to completely back track on the second one. I want the default Android skin from google on my droidx, so When you first said root I understood; but then you all of a sudden said that I need to deodex it as well.
This is the confusing part since you say in your post that it already included the root as well. So which should I do? root > bootstrapper > deodex? or just deodex then bootstrapper?
You have to be rooted, then flash the deodexed stock rom in recovery mode (hence the boot strapper). From there you can theme to your hearts content and even change the font if you wish.

Just because an app isn't on the market doesn't mean that it's old and no longer useful. And there are a million guides on how to do this. Just find a recent one and go for it
Alright I've done some more reading on different sites like engagdet and there seems to be a legal program called "LauncherPro" Apparently you can reskin with this program, Has anybody used this program? and if so how good / bad is it for removing blur?
My main concern is rooting my phone as well as getting rid of BLUR cause I believe that will slow it down considerably. thanks!
Unfortunately, launcherpro doesn't remove or replace blur, nor does it change things like the notification bar or lockscreen. Its a launcher app, meaning that it runs over blur, replaces the homescreens and launcher buttons. It's great for what it does but for your purposes won't work.
Honestly, I think the best route for you would be to take the time to root and flash a blurless rom like liberty or fission.

flyingpenguin is right.
Liberty is Blurless and you an install a Gingerbread theme on it straight from it's Liberty Toolbox app!
Check out my set up... I have Liberty 1.5 with the Gingerbread Blue theme and ADW Launcher EX.
What about the themes we were talking about earlier? Are those only available AFTER you flash to a ROM? Or are those just available after the deodexing? If so wouldn't that be the best and easiest way to get the stock froyo theme on my phone? or is that like launcherpro in that it just launches the theme over blur?
Also, I've seen your attachments and to be honest I don't like the look of it one bit, I just want a rom with stock froyo or even better stock Gingerbread.
Is there a rom out there with either of those stock? I should be getting my new droid x in the mail by next monday, at which time I'll probably be asking for more help, since I don't want my phone to brick the first day of use lol.
I used the z4 root on my dx. It took a couple of tries but it worked. I went with liberty 1.5 as my first custom rom and I love it. There are plenty of plain roms out there you can try. I just wanted something with a little more umph. Good luck!

well does liberty 1.5 come with the stock froyo skin? or is there a Gingerbread rom already out for the DX?

Liberty comes with a froyo-ish skin. There isn't a GB ROM out for the X yet, but droid2169 (same dev who does Rubix) is working on getting GB to boot on the Dx. He's getting close on it, but there are still some bugs to be worked out. Had some issues with USB mounting last time I checked with him.
The closest you are going to get to vanilla android is either focused or fission
What is this Vanilla thing you are talking about? Is that the name of a ROM that has default froyo / gingerbread them on it?
Also, I don't know if someone already answered this, but the themse people were talking about before: Are they available right after deodexing? Or do I Nhave to install a specific rom THEN theme my phone?
Vanilla means original android experience or as close to it as the kernel allows. That's how I understand it.
Sent from my Droid X running Liberty 1.5 custom using xda premium app
oohh ok
If you want to theme the stock rom you have to deodex your phone and then load theme... if you want to theme a rom you need to load the rom (which are already deodexed) then load the theme.... themes are rom specific ie an apex rom is meant for apex and a liberty theme is meant for liberty... there's guides all over the internet for any method you choose

Google is your friend.
You still can access hidden menu through the dialer
Make sure you have it enabled
Though, I don't know why some functions (apk's) are missing in \system\app\
Even in the stock rom
So, in order to get to whatever you want, you need to have that apk in \system\app\
Like, if you want to access audio tuning, you must have audiotuning.apk
For some reason, phoneinfo.apk doesn't work
Where can I find the hwcodec apk?

Does this work if you've installed some skins, like the Crysis Sensation? I saw that someone said there could be some crashes etc if using TW4. Anyone noticed any problems?
As stated in title, stock jvk from samfirmware and no themes. Led fix and crt off animation the only add ons.
Totally smooth. 2 homescreens only and no fc's.
Not sure either but I used the first zip in the link and it might be deodexed. Still it is very nice.

hurray! but is it like the ACTUAL sgs2?
I update TW4 to the last version present in its thread, it's simply amazing, fast , smooth and beautiful, the best you expected from the new galaxy s II, the amazing thing is that work BETTER than TW3 on our galaxy S!
I suggest to try it, without doubt
It work fine on JVB, i use a deodex rom stock (made with kitchen ;-) ) with CF root 3.1 kernel
It work fine also with modd like 5lockscreen (but read the topic before try)
You can also continue to use crt off, glow scroll and other fix already installed.
before flash i suggest to put in SD card a "sos package" to use in case of bootloop so you can flash back to your configuration.
Also suggest to install alternative launcher you prefer, and DON'T check "use always" so if you got problem with TW4 homescreen, you can push back key, choose other launcher and maybe try some fix direct with root explorer (for example)
i hope you find my post useful!
;-)

Seems like it to me. Just like the tw4 clips on YouTube. Multitouch works perfectly and all widgets and screens act the same too.
To add more apps to dock you have to tap on apps icon. Then menu then edit. Then add the desired app icons like phone, messages, etc by holding on app and dragging it next to app icon as the rubbish bin is now in the usual area to add icons in tw3.
When installed tw4 it only has app icon in dock.
Took a while to work out. Ha.
Awesome launcher.
Was originally using gb launcher.

Thanks... i wann try
I use tw4 about 2 days now. It was in the Juwe's 4.2 rom i flashed...It is very nice, extremely smooth and seems to work nicely.
However it still has some bugs, you may experience fc's and even sudden reboots (did so once at me after it f.c.). Also as someone posted at another forum it seems to prefer RFS file system to ext4 (unknown why since SGS2 runs on ext4). I cant say so myself since i am on RFS too but any feedback on that would be welcomed.
PS: just a tip, if you want to install TW4 i recommend installing a rom with it, it seems to work better when roms are build around TW4 and not the other way around

Maybe not. I've installed on top of stock jvk not jvb and have had 0 fc's at all. 2 days running and no problems. Only thing that caused me grief was adding icons to dock but sorted that out...
You have installed a rom with it included and seem to have issues?
After reading 30 odd pages in the link I came to the conclusion that custom roms with tw4 included sometimes had issues so I added to my rom which is running rfs.
I reckon if you wanna try it and you're running stock jvk, go for it.
No need to do a complete rom.
