The Best Android Photo Viewer/Organizer - A7 General

This might been asked before but....Any recommendation for a photo application to install on Elocity...I would like something that would allow organize photos in folders, with basic editing, quick and responsive ...is there an app with face recognition feature similar to IPad?
Thanks
Regards

I'm in the process of testing out a few of them now and I'll report my findings soon.

Appreciated I am looking forward to reading the report...I have in meantime installed QuickPic which is free and is pretty quick and efficient.
Regards

Thanks...I'll check that one out too.

MOSTLY SOLVED: Gallery app... photos showing *oldest first*?

I've actually been *pleasantly* surprised with the Vibrants gallery app (gallery3d.apk), though I'm stymied that it seems to default to showing photos in an "oldest first" format. Is this true for everyone else? Anyone know how to change this behavior?
Thanks,
Yip

Mine does the same thing. Kind of a pain when you have a lot of photos and have to scroll through tons of them to get to the latest pics.
yea this I find annoying, wonder how we can hack it...
Hmmm...so others are seeing the same thing, eh? I guess we're hoping someone finds a workaround for this. It's actually a very full-featured gallery app, so I'm surprised that something like this was left out -- seems like a natural option to set. In fact, it *should* be the default setting, if you ask me.
Hopefully someone will solve this AND/OR it'll be fixed in the next OS refresh.
+1 same annoying behavior. for the 3d gallery app looking so nice and polished, and the sharing having so many options, the basic preferences is quite lacking. :/
such as sort, delete confirmations, and so on and so forth
Partially solved!
Quick update on this:
I found another thread that allows you to replace the stock Vibrant camera app with the stock Captivate camera app -- basically because it's easier to use, selecting scenes, and so forth. Really a nice update.
Anyhow, I was noting that the new camera app placed everything in a "Camera" folder instead of the "Photos" folder. Rather than fuss with it, I just used Astro to move all of the photos to the new location, and then I deleted the old Photos folder.
So.... I opened up the Gallery app and voila! All of the photos are now sorting properly: newest first! Still no way to select any other sort option, but this is DEFINITELY the proper default setup.
Hope that helps someone else out there!

[Q] Automating Camera Color Effect Options

Newbie here.
I'm looking for tips on how to programmatically automate the camera effect options (especially sepia, B&W, negative, etc) to give users easier access, i.e. switch to sepia toned when taking a series of pictures within our app. Does anyone have any tips? What are we missing?
If this is NOT the correct place to post this question please let me know. Especially if you have suggestions on where I might better get an answer.
Thanks!

Screenshot photo editing

Goodmorning.
Im finding myself taking more and more screenshots lately. Currently using Photodesk to draw on them with the stylus but was wondering if there is a better app for this.
Also. I want to get a Tasker profile to open this app, Photodesk or something better, after a screen shot is taken, but i cant seem to find the trigger for screenshot. (If someone knows how to open the actual screeny, that would be even better yet.)
Thanks!

Best app for simple photo editing? drawing circle on picture, maybe type some text?

I am wondering if anyone knows of a simple photo editing app.
There are plenty that are very powerful, but I don't want to do that on my phone. I'd rather do it on a desktop. I am looking for something that I have had a need for plenty of times, take a picture and then highlight the issue that the picture is showing. For example, taking a picture and then being able to insert an arrow or draw a circle around something in the picture to highlight it. Even adding some text might be nice. Then I could quickly add what I need and forward it off to whomever I need to send it to.
Any ideas?
Thanks!
Search for cm gallery app under Android/apps it's small, practical and meets your requirements.
Perfect. Thanks!
Interesting to note that the newest version (the one labeled Lineage OS) loses that drawing feature, only the CM version has it.
Thanks.
I like an app called Sketch.

That looks good, although overkill for my needs. Looks very powerful though.
I just found Pixlr which seems like it is simple, but effective for what I need.

Google camera app

Google camera app can be installed on LOS 18.1 and yes, indeed: it does take very good photos!
But on the downside, when I tap the just taken picture, it tells me in order to view my photos I need to download another Google photo/gallery app, which will, according to the description, sort my photos automatically and upload it to Google drive. That are two things I surely don't want!
Is there any way to make the Google camera app work with some other, locally installed gallery app?
you can organize and view your photos in any other image manager.
however for the issue of looking at the picture right after it's taken and not be redirected to google photos I dont know the solution.
there are tons of gcam mods (<3).
perhaps one of those managed to change this behaviour
Thanks for the hint about gcam mods! I will try to find a suitable mod for me.
I know I can use any gallery app I want, but I find it annoying that Google want to force my pictures onto their servers, just because I want to use their camera app. Pictures I shoot are nothing that needs to be hidden, but I also don't want them "in the cloud". And I certainly don't want an algorithm made by G to sort my pictures!
