automatic bootloader reload - XPERIA X8 General

hi,
I've got the feeling that i'am the first one with this problem...
When I turn on my rooted phone it'll load until the SE logo appears, and after that it does no more than automatically reloading till it comes to the SE logo.
What I've done before:
- flashed, rooted and installed xrecovery via X10FlashTool
- loaded xrecovery, backed up
- "restored" custom rom's (tested out some things etc.)
- or installed them via "update.zip"
I've decided to take the rom from jerpelea BUT before that happens ->
Backed up one more time and got a message that sd card space might not be enough for the backup but it wen't to an normal end (had only 66mb of free space).
Dunno why, but i'am pretty sure i've took the last backed up version of jerpelea's rom -> the backup were i had only 66mb of free space.
Since this fail, i couldn't load other roms or anything else cause xrecovery is not able to start. I can press the back button as many times i want but still nothing else happens .. only thing to see is an SE logo, which disappears after times and then comes back (reboot or something, i think.)
Need some help there...

Do an SEUS repair. When the system asks you to connect your phone, press power, home and back button simoultaneously.
Hope it helps

[Q] Did I just Brick My Phone?

I finally decided to attempt to load a custom ROM on my Samsung Fascinate after a couple of months of owning it. Before I started anything, I backed up my current ROM twice using ROM Manager, then used ROM Manager to do the new ROM download and install.
Things didn't go well. At all.
Once the new ROM was installed, my phone restarted, got back to the puzzle screen (thinking I was in business!) and as soon as I unlocked the screen the force closes just kept on coming. One right after another. Pretty much anything and everything force closes, so much so that it is the only thing you can do on the phone now. I have tried force closing things for as much as 5 minutes thinking I might get to the end of it, but no luck.
So now I have 2 backups on my SD card. I went into my Android System Recovery (+, - volume and power button), selected apply sdcard:update.zip which gets me to ClockworkMod Recovery v. 2.5.1.0. From there I go into Backup and Restore, select Restore and then my restore file. After some time the restore process is complete and the phone asks to reboot. I do the reboot and low and behold nothing seems to have changed in the phone. I still have the custom ROM with all of the force closes.
Am I missing something with this CWM restore process? I have read what seems like dozens of forum entries and nobody else seems to have problems with the restoration. It seems like it is pretty straight forward but I am not having any luck with it at all.
Any help is appreciated!

Perfect! I am back in business thanks to you. Sure appreciate your help!
Did you wipe first?

Need Help with Password after Hard Reset

I'm desparate, please help!!!!
I had to do a hard reset after failing to Root my A500, that's a long story.
After the Hard Reset it has come up with a APKInstaller (All pre-install processes complete). I click OK and then it has asked me to enter your password (with the Android logo on the left had side.
I have tried all the passwords I can think of, including my Gmail password, and it just says that it is wrong.
Can someone please put me out of my misery and help????
Feel free to mock me, as long as you come up with a solution that doesnt involve taking the device back to get fixed.
Thanks in advanced
had this happened before when i tried to do the factory reset through the method of HOLDING DOWN POWER + RIGHT VOLUME BUTTON (in landscape mode) + SWITCHING THE ROTATION LOCK BUTTON. easy solution to this would perform the factory reset one more time and it'll go away
Having this issue too..
Ok.. simplified version of long (2-wk) history:
1) Initially 3.0.1 device "bricked" attempting to do a direct 3.0.1 to 3.2.1 update.. bad move and stupid of me.
2) Successfully unbricked using EUUs_SBK_Acer_A500_1.016.05_COM_GEN1
3) 3.0.1 rooted, custom recovery, and updated to a 3.2.1 stock with root.. and stable for about 5 days.
4) I installed ES Task Manager and played with some settings. Shut down the device for the day (early afternoon).
5) Restarted device, boot, and was asked for a Password. -- One that I never set. None of the account (google) passwords that were on the device worked.
6) Being still somewhat fresh, I did the "unbrick" flash again and proceeded with root, recovery, and update again... stable for about 3 days.. before the Password prompt returned.
I'm now at the state that I've attempted multiple ROMs.. there is *something* not getting wiped. Now, even when I use the EUU "unbrick", the first boot is fine.. as soon as I restart though, Password.
Massive frustration.. but I'm hoping someone here might be of some help on this.
I figure the worst case.. I literally break the thing and have to use my "accident" warranty.. but I'd really rather not do that.
Any ideas?

Do a clean flash directly to 3.2.1 rooted. Then don't install anything for a few days and see if your problem is gone. It should be fixed.
I've never had any problems like yours. I always use CWM to do full WIPES + FORMATS. I have used windows Directly to do about 3-4 Flashes that way. About 20-30 Flashed ROM's thru CWM Recovery (20-30 -not ever cuz of problems).
Best i can say is Next Time do it THRU CWM Recovery and WIPE (3) + FORMAT (4) = 7 commands to say "YES" to before Installing a CUSTOM ROM. I've messed arround a lot and have hard time BRICKING or having any messed up ROM INSTALLS.

No problem, but, I have to "mock" you a little Because in over 350+ flashings for testings, etc, I have never had this happen, nor have I ever had to use the "pinhole" (knock on wood)
And that "password".... hint, there is no password that will work. The issue, is that you have a big mess internally when booting, and the OS doesn't know what else to do, so it gives you that dialog.
And you're not the first person to have this happen to.
My question, is WTH did you do to get yourself into this mess? And the reason I ask, is that others have done the same thing. So perhaps it would be best to give the "Long Story". This may be useful to others and serve as a reference point.
TimmyDean has a tool for unbricking devices. From what I've seen, it works well 90% of the time. So you should listen to him. There's also one other unbrick master, but haven't seen him around for awhile.

S9001 Plus: after reboot new apps are gone, Internal RAM damaged

WARNING not to try this as i did if you have the same problem with loosing apps:
since some month, after every reboot i am loosing apps that were installed new. It was equal if they are installed on internal RAM or moved to SD Card.
then for some time, new installed Apps still stay on the phone, also after a reboot (or hen i run out of battery druing the night). But the problem returns some weeks ago. also i got the old messages in statusbar like You missed a call or new SMS arrived ( but this happenend 3 Weeks ago and every time the same messsages).
Got annoing, but lived with that issue for wome weeks ..
Nus as i want to change to launcher Pro and every time i need to reboot, the launcher was gone, i thought it was a good idea to make a factory reset and wipe all data.
after the next rebot i need to step thought the inital Wlecome steps and at the last step the welcome assistant breaks. and no laucher came up.
Booting to recovery mode and selecting the install an update.zip menu entry, i can see, that most directorys of the installed apps are still there, but it seemed that also the laucher.app is gone. and the Phone lis like bricked as after booting i just kan reach the Taskmanager ....
I Hope the samsung Support is willing to fix this ..
BUT: Do not do a factory reset if your internal RAM is loosing data ...
Format all partitions to make sure the filesystem is ok and use ODIN or CWM to flash a new ROM. Had that problem a while ago with XXKPU and that helped to resolve the issue. Though I don't know what exactly caused these issues.

[Q] [HELP] A very weird problem with X5 Pro

Have searched the forum and couldn't find any discussion about a similar problem to what i'm having with my phone. This is super weird.
I'm on an official B928 rom. It started some time ago. Whenever i reboot my phone it "resets" to a particular state. Which means - everything i do with my phone before a reboot gets reversed back to a particular state at which my phone "froze". If i delete sms, they come back, if i install programs they are gone, if i uninstall programs - they come back and so on..
I've tried to flash B928 and B552, but i always get an error at the second stage (have tried all possible combinations - with/without the battery, formatting the card). Pink screen is blocked - can't unblock it, because my phone deletes the necessary files after reboot. Can't install CWM for the same reason.
Is that it? I'm out of ideas. If anyone can throw any idea at me or direct me in the right direction i would be very grateful.
Thank you
reboot recovery
advance menu
format /data
take a look if it help
I only have the standard recovery, not cwm, it doesn't have advanced menu.
But even if i try the wipes in it, it does nothing, meaning it doesn't even delete my data.
Thanks
I'm having the same issue with my u8800-51. My thread is here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2331209 but no suggestions therein have helped, yet.
Ok, i see. I've seen some people restoring their phones with Acronis, but for this you need a working pink screen, which is a no-go for me..

Boot animation stuck

I installed today AGAIN Fallout Shelter, my phone was low on battery, and when I came home, I wanted to start it, but it wouldn't start...stuck at boot animation (not restarting, it's just loading infinitly) In TWRP, when I want to make a backup, the backup name is something like: (date)BalongC52B311 (old rom was Stock B564) ... now I will try to install the latest B588... I didn't converted from ds to sg, didn't upgraded software .... idk what happend :/ Can you help me (i'L try to fix it alone, I have TWRP, but i will try to install dload whit Huawei Updater)
UP1: I get out my sd-card, wiped everything exept internal data, and IT STARTED, but without theme or keyboard ( i changed them long time ago ) When I put the SD-Card back, everything as normal (khmm.... infinit loading at boot animation)
UP2: I did the same think, but I send to my phone a launcher and a keyboard .... Iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit seems to be working, I will try to put back my SD-Card and then see what's happening ... I don't wanna try to restart it, cuz maybe I need to do the same thinks again ... what was wrong/what is wrong ? Btw, I checked again, doesn't say that it's Balong version :3
UP3: As I said, I wiped with TWRP (idk what i know that the internal memory isn't wiped, and SD-Card was off when I did that), not phone runs normally, BUT I don't have my old apps :/ Data's are here, pictures, download EVERYTHING ... but apps, rip :/ i'm afraid to restard my phone to activate them .... I should delete my latest installed apps from sd-card ? nwm, I did a restard, root still unavailable, and apps are dissapeared :/
