How do I synchronize my phone with pc - Touch GSM General

Hellow. I am trying to change my phone language. I read some of the topics on this forum and i've got a pretty good idea of what i need to do. Unfortunately i came across a problem. I do not know how to synchronize my phone with my pc (noob me).
I used Windows Mobile Device Center on Windows 7. When i plug in my HTC elf windows installs a driver, but in Windows Mobile Device Center says it is not connected, probably i need to set the phone...but i do not know how to do that. My HTC is in Italian (i do not speak Italian). So...how do I synchronize my phone with pc?
I am sorry for my bad english, i am from Romania (can't choose where you are born) and i haven't practiced for a while.

I have exactly the same problem and cant find a sulotion!

Connect to vista?

has anyone actually been able to syn with vista ??
if so - amI missing something obvious - all i get is an option to connect to sync media files.....
You must download "Windows Mobile Device Center", you can download it from here http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/devicecenter.mspx
BTW this was already on other thread...
I assumed that I as I have the full vista premium, i did not need to download a beta product.....
unfortunately it seems the include windows mobile device centre in Vista caters to transfer and sync of AV media files but if you want the Activesync capabilities then you still need to download the beta version (3 i think still) from Microsoft to sync with PDA's
nod, and my thanks - lets just say that installing vista was... an entertaining experience!
I do now have it talking with my xda

Old ipaq h1915

Hi,
i've found an ipaq h1915 and would like to use it on my vista.
but because it is still a windows mobile 2002 and vista needs atleast 2003, i can't use it.
can someone help me with this prob.
thx
Jerre
anyone an idee or a link to: how to change a windows mobile?
Change it in to what?
Just kidding. Didn't know Vistas device center does not support old PPCs. One more reason not to use this crappy OS.
Unfortunately as far as I know there is no update for that model.
You could check out HP site, but I doubt you will find anything. Your best bet is to download ActiveSync 3.8 (google it since MS no longer provides downloads) or even 4.5 (from MS site) and see if Vista lets you install and run it.
thx for the reply.
i also had the idee to download the active sync 4.5, but as usually doesn't work on vista because vista has a program of it's own for that.
called mobile device center, installed it... gues what doesn't work on windows mobile versions before 2003

Download.
You should be looking for Windows Mobile Device Centre (WMDC). As explained Vista cannot use ActiveSync and therefore WMDC is its equivilent.
Download, install, connect phone, go through some basic guided steps et voila. Synced phone and satisfied customer

I'm not trying to be a wise guy... But I'm not sure what you are asking for.
If you want Nokia PC Suite - Google shows it available for free download, straight from Nokia. Your choice of World Region, phone model, etc...
But I sort of think you know that and have used it in the past???
Are you saying you have a different phone you need similar (to Nokia) software for???
I sort of doubt that a generic, one program covers all software will be as good as one from the OEM for your phone. It might be helpful to state which phone you are trying to manage.
pc suit for wm
this sofrware can work as pc suit for the windows mobile
Mymobiler is nice, but I like EveryWAN better. It's also free for the personal edition. You can do more things with it (file manager, etc.) and it just looks nicer IMO .

Syncronize Xperia X2 with PC (windows 6.5)

To synchronize Xperia X2 (Windows mobile 6.5) with your PC first you need to install the necessary Microsoft software.
If your PC is running on Windows XP you need Microsoft Active Sync. But your device will not be recognized as an external Drive... so forget about it!!! (I can’t even view the device photos, with my version of Active sync) You can explore the Phone, add or delete files, but that’s it! What you know from Nokia Ovi suit or PC suite is not applied. It can happens that your contacts are doubled, tripled in the phone if you use the sync one after another, and it syncs automatically.
For Windows 7 you have to use Windows Mobile device center. Be shore that your phone is not connecte when you first install the programm.Mobile device center, seems to be better than Active Sync, but I prefer the old OVI. I find it easier!
I don't use Vista, so I can't tell you anything about it. As I understand you allso have to use Windows Mobile device center, ore easy Sync for this OS.
So don’t expect your phone to be simply Connected to the PC, and to be recognized as external Drive. You need the sw!
