Can anybody get some info about Galaxy 3 CPU ? Not Just CPU name...
What exactly do you need?

I think that is ARM V6 processor and his frequency can be up to 667 MHz.that's all I know
EDIT:Correct me if I am wrong.thx

The overclock can be set to that speed/volt
I recommend, to overclock max to 1.4ghz.
1.5ghz and 1.6ghz can damage your device.
I tried almost all the overclocking apps.it is better to overclocked your device onlu at 1300 if it exceeds to 1400 and above your device will reboot sometimes or hung and can cause your tab to brick.

i like it p1000,it's my friend
Yah 1.5ghz or 1.6ghz would always run a bit to alot unstable.
Although i personally like SetCPU instead ;-)

Not when you do not put the overclock on the 1,6 Ggz. Our processor is not designed, although there is an option.
hey friends.. i need to install iOnRoad Augmented Driving app (as i need this app like anything) on my samsung galaxy y, but this app needs minimum 1Ghz(1000mhz) cpu, but my SGY has only 832mhz. So my idea is to root my phone and install setcpu and set the cpu for 1Ghz or above. after doing all these..
does the iOnRoad Augmented Driving app gonna support my Samsung Galaxy y?
u can use merruk 2.5 kernel
it can overclock to..
1.2ghz

the CPU frequencies are a kernel thing,
you cant just install an app and like magic it will have a higher clock speed,
even with setcpu you'd still be stuck with 800mhz max without a kernel that supports overclocking,
apparently as of now the only available overclocked to 1.2Ghz kernel is merruk kernel,
look in the development section on instructions on how to install the kernel
Can any I tell me what are the best cpu settings for my galaxy y to get 2000 above points in antutu benchmark.
I need settings for best CPU performance ie; governors & I/O schedule . & other tweaks.
I am using JellyBlast v3.0.3 with kuro's kernel

Antutu have updated their benchmark app and it now does an OpenGL ES 2.0 graphics test.
Although the Play really craps out in this test our scores are still miles different from the old versions. Use thus thread to post your new high scores along with your settings.

Can u tell what CLASS is your micro sd? i guess is not 2 or 4...? I see some very good write / read speed of yours..
ICS, no tweak, all on stock.

Hello guys... one question... there is a kernel or a mod to control the cores ? Honestly im keeping my cpu at 1026 Mhz. I want to keep it at 1.89 ghz but only 2 cores. Is possible?
Thanks in advance

Look in the Original Development Thread for the kernels that may support that option.
Why do you want to do that?

Why not ? Save battery, no heating up so hard ( im playing only one game ..., and 1080 video im not watching ) im using it for gps, work emails, music. Light stuff.... " can you image ? Im in stok rom ( yeah ... only rooted to get rid of all those apps )

PS. Not a single Rom have attract my attention like on my old i9100. Most of the roms they doont have air view, gesture... from what i read

And probably never will as the smart features are attached to touchwiz ...
Also if i understood correctly u have custom kernel and u set the clock at around 1ghz which if it does the work for u should save u more battery than 2 cores at max freq ... apps don t use all cores at once anyway except if u are heavy mutlitasker ...
I m no expert so don t take my word for granded but as far as i can tell u are gaining more with underclocking than when u just shut down cores

True, also underclocking and disabling cores will take the tasks longer to finish so the real gain by doing this is minimal to 0.
Undervolting (moderately) however with a custom kernel may be usefull to reduce heat issues.
