X10 Dream

you guys talk soo much about 2.1 update. last night i slept and till morning my whole dream was about 2.1 lol . and i met this guy in dream he usually update your phone for $20 and he was running gingerbread in his phone and i asked him can u put it on my phone and he said At&t shutdown his server so he cant do it again and i met this blonde chick she even had froyo in her x10. and i went to At&t all the x10s were coming with 2.2 froyo out of the box and everywhere was soldout and the lady at At&t told me its the fastest and hottest selling phone now she was like *we never sold this much iphone 4* as we sold x10. the whole dream was messed up lol. i dont even know what i was doing in U.S.A cuz i live in canada lol. and im really pissed off i woke up and saw my x10 still 1.6 lol
you guys think my dream will happen? lol . people say when you dream in morning it comes true

I had a dream last week about 2.1
I was a drug dealer, only I was selling firmwares. I was dressed up like a bum and muttering to people on the street: "Hey man I got 2.1 you want some of this S***"
I didn't think about sharing it here but since a thread was made!

I really hope there wont be victims of some kinda suicide or something like that, because OF A PHONE. I had a Nokia 5800 and i waited 1 year for kinetic scrolling, and with x10 i wait 6 months and i get a major update. Offcourse you cant compare Sony with nokia but still i dont bother that much, and i'm pretty sure that i dont dream about 2.1 or 2.2 or 3.0 on x10. If it will be, then good job for Sony, if not, i will still love my phone. I knew what i bought and it was 1.6, nobody promised anything.

i also had a dream about 2.1 hahah

It's not even that I'm impatiently waiting for it, or can't stop thinking about it or anything. The dream must have been caused my seeing nothing but "2.1" all over these forums all day. Work is slow lately so I spend a lot of time on here haha.

just relax, mate...everyone is disappointed in the delay, but these kind of topics doesn't bring it any faster...we have to be patient...the only thing you reach by starting this topic is getting yourself a heartfailure of the stress

Why do you hate your X10 so much? What was your previous phone?

I am still enjoying my handset very much. I am able to make calls on it, jump about the net, get some pretty cool apps all in all its working great. Camera is awesome. I am quite happy with it. Upgrade coming in a month.. its all good.

Buy an n97, THEN you'd realise what you had.

Why do you hate your x10 with 1.6?
I get the feeling the only reason you hate it is because you know that there is an update coming and are too impatient to wait. That and you expect 2.1 to turn the phone into something unbelievable which isn't going to happen.
It will improve some factors of the phone, but it isn't going to be anything majorly drastic.

I don't get it. Did your phone stop working under 1.6?
It still does everything it did yesterday. It will keep doing it tomorrow.
Just be a patient person. If you're so unsatisfied, don't post on here, go buy a new phone, and be happy. Why be so negative and filled with rage? Who does that help?

Sony is taking their sweet ass time with an update that should have been released 2 months ago. And knowing it will never see the 2.2 update is really a downer..

You're a douchebag.. I said I'm happy with my phone. Sony is taking their time releasing an operating system that should be already out. People like you don't care if they do or don't because 'you're happy with what you got and you're a happy nancy' others like myself are considering selling the phone and getting a phone that has 2.1 and up and is more likley to get updated regularly.. I can't see why Sony is taking so long for this update.

Dude, it's like buying a sports car which has a speed limiter built in for no apparent reason. If SE want to tout their Xperia phones as being "the most open mobile phone brand on the market" then it's fair that we call it what it is.. bulls~t!
If the phone is perfectly capable to run Froyo (Flash, etc), then why would SE make such an ordeal out of it? Give it's users a bootloader, then let us choose if we want some homemade Froyo, or stay with SE's 1.6 (eventual 2.1) and customized apps. See, they are the ones creating this negative situation, not their users.

Just want to get people's opinions. I want to thank the Devs for all their work for prolonging the lifespan of my x10 lol. It's been a few years and with the new google Prime I think i want the new hardware. Any1 else planning to get Prime?

I'm holding out for next year as my work may be subsidising some handsets for staff, and they tend to be good on these things, I'm hearing up to 50% off from HR at the moment. Of course, I am also risking the handsets they have being old and grey...
But that's the chance you take when your sick of paying loads each month on a contract to get a good phone.
Back to the topic, Samsung's screens are just amazing. I was thinking about getting the S2 a few months back. I just never really was a Samsung person either and the Prime looks great. It's a real hard decision for me on whether to wait or get one now.
Specs look good, but not as groundbreaking as I was expecting from the new "Google phone". I suppose that might be due to the fact that most apps/games will run just fine on current hardware and they haven't really begun to support dual core properly yet. So no point in expanding the hardware when it will price the device out of the market for no real gains.

I'm leaving this forums, since I got a Nexus S.
I wanna thank all the great devs who make a phone like the x10 shine.
Without them, I would be still stuck on a 2.1 laggy xperience. Nonetheless, the x10 opened a whole new world in mobile phones and Android.
You will be never forgotten.

x10 is an awesome device, too bad that SE let it die fast.
I spent 1 year and 4 months with it until the battery died (got a new one and the phone is rocking again) however got an optimus 3D and just can say, I LOVE 3D!!!

Problem with x10 is SE played safe and cheaped out on a lot of things that were standart that would have made the x10 last longer

Is my first phone with Android. A fighter, not never left me.

Just a reminder of what SE are like. One word. X10. That is all I need to say. But I will say this. For.the people who didn't have an X10. They said June for GB and actually didn't get it till august. 2months after they said. So don't get your hopes up guys. Even my mate at SEUK said I shouldn't get my hopes up. That they are very unreliable even to their employees. He says that the alpha release will be better than official by.the time they releases hehe. But may. Seems more about what they say every yr. And then it's not till august or September. Same old ways I say. And so does someone who works foe them.

We also know someone who works for them it should be out on time sony ericsson are doing everything to boost there failing phone brand the x8 x10 not so good the 2011 range they have gone all out to get every sort of advertisment they can get have tried the arc alpha and aint looking to bad i think they mite be on time with this dude.
p.s yes sony are slow and behind but if they say a date (which aint normal) they stick to it just look at stuff like ps3 and psn if they dont know they wont tell you nothing if they do your first to know.

I think we'll have it before May in the European Union, hopefully we shall have a leaked ROM before then

It's still better then what a lot of the other companies are doing. I don't think Motorola can live up to what they promise.
