HTC Evo music app

Is anyone else having issues w/ the music app. not reading album art embedded in a mp3? I have tried Media Monkey, MP3 Tag and the editor in Roxio 2010. Some of it sticks and is recognised, others don't. The only ones that work properly are songs downloaded thru iTunes. I have also seen art be recognised only to later disappear. If I mount the SD card to desktop all the art is there. Any suggestions?

Put Music Album art on Incredible?

Ive been trying to get the music album art on my incredible, but Nothing seems to work. Any suggestions? I want to so i can use the Album art live wallpaper. I know their are some apps in the market that do this, but they are listed as not working with the incredible. Other apps just display the album art and not download it to the proper directory like I want it to. I use double twist to sync my iTunes library but, won sync the album art. What are some simple ways to get the Music album art on the Incredible?

Download "Album Art Grabber". It automatically grabs album art for every song on your SD card. You can also manually switch each to other possibilities if the one it gives is incorrect. I've been using it for a while and love it

I just downloaded it for my incredible and it is indeed, inedible! It may say it doesn't support it but it does
Edit: ok it def works good but it is a lil slow. Maybe that's because i have 3500 songs lol.

Maybe its not the easiest, but I would embedding album art in your mp3s with a program like mp3tag. I was having problems until I did this. Album art should work across any device or program that supports album art going forward after you take the time to do this.

Giving up freakin tired of this !!!

I tried everything to have the good covers for my musics on my phone the problem is my songs where downloaded from many different sources thus having like many folders like /musicbox / unknown and stuff like that i cleared them more then 100 times and personally picked the covert arts but they all get mixed up never shows up the good ones im a about to commit suicide ! It makes me not wanting to listen to music seriously ! I remember it was all good on 2.1 back in the days when i first got my x10

you use wmp, itunes, winamp, other?
are you downloading music from an app or torrents

I download from youtube some from musicbox app some came from my comp its all mixed up i dont wanna erasr my whole sd card

Well, from my understanding you are looking to have the correct album art for each song/album on your phone correct? This problem plagued me for a while, I couldn't find an easy way to automatically embed the album art into the id3 tags for songs on the computer... so I starting looking at apps for android. easiest way BY FAR is to buy the donate version of Cover Art Downloader. It will embed the album art into the mp3 file so you can copy em all to your pc and the album art will stick with it.
The free version of the app doesn't embed the art into the mp3's id3 tags but it will still work to show you the art on your phone if that's all you are wanting.

I also did album art grabber its because when i download them the description is not well filled out even if i change them whit mp3 tag it still mixed up

you don't have to format your sd card; probably wouldn't hurt.
You should take all your music off of your sd and consolidate into one music folder on your computer; Music-->Artist-->Albums and/or Songs-->Songs.
Throw it into either itunes for that what ever fixer finder thing it has, or better yet throw it into winamp as local media and go through song by song (you can select multiples) ctrl+e to open up up the file(s) to edit the metadata so you can format each/all the songs to uniform artist/albums/titles.
also for artwork you can select songs and press alt+3 and click on the Artwork tab and then download artwork there's also an auto-tag feature on the default tab (doesn't always work)

So i should grab winamp on my pc ? Ill try that and my musics are all into sdcard/music there isnt any other folders in it should i add ? Album>artist >songs?

Google my music widget not displaying artwork?

Hello guys I have a bit of an issue with the Google play music widget, it doesn't display album art from albums I've imported manually but does with music present installed on the phone. If i open one of the albums from the widget, the app displays the imported album artwork fine. What am I missing?

Happens to me to, I guess its a bug of the nexus 4 or jellybean

MIne does this too. I displays some but not others. It's wierd.

I have the same problem on my Nexus 10. Seems like the My Library widget only displays the artwork for media stored in the Play cloud not on the device itself. Google should fix this.

@HankStorm Yeah I had just copied my albums to the PC, then uploaded to cloud, I can now see album artwork from the widget and download the albums from there to my phone if I so wish. Only took about an hour to do ha!

It's a real shame Google won't let you upload straight from your device as I download a lot of mix tapes straight to my phone.

Kill any other media players you have running. That worked for me. Widget was back in an instant.

Thanks for the advice, the widget worked fine to start off with. It just didn't show artwork for albums imported manually and stored locally on the phone. It's sorted now though.

Download apps like album art grabber which will get u all the art work .
after that just clear the cache and force close the play music app and reopen it all the albums will appear

As I said in original post. The albums already contain artwork. The app displays it just fine, the widget doesn't. It did fix by uploading the albums to cloud. But I will try the fc as you suggested next time and see what happens. Thanks

Same boat. I thought about using the Play Music system with the cloud and all to see what happens... but man, what a bunch of extra stuff to do.
Call me old school but I've never used any kind of 'manager' I just copy and paste, how does it get more simple?

I'm having this issue and it's very annoying. album art grabber doesn't work it thinks most of my albums already have art and the ones that have zero it downloads something but it never appears even after clearing the app cache and force closing.

same problem here on nexus 5 ,play music app shows art work fine the widget doesn't, seems a bit long winded to have to upload it elsewhere and then back to phone ,surely the widget gets its info from the app?

Seeing as it's only a problem with the widget I abandoned it. Not worth uploading everything and then having to distinguish between On Device or not, potentially streaming files that are available locally.

Almost All Music Tracks Have Same Album Artwork?

Okay guys this one gets me...
I have done a lot to try and figure this out but this is such a weird problem I had to make this post. (I feel like the answer must be something simple!!)
Anyways so I just recently moved my entire iTunes library to my Mac(Hackintosh) because I like Mac more. So moved all my songs to iTunes on the Mackintosh HD. All good there.
When I went and deleted all my music off my Nexus 6P to go and re-sync it with the new library everything went fine as well.
BUT now for some RANDOM reason, like probably 80% if my tracks have the same album art work... not all of them though, just like most of them... SO ANNOYING.
TO NOTE:
- I use iSyncr to transfer all my music from my iTunes to my android device. works great and always has.
- I use BlackPlayer as my main music player. Has worked great so far..
- When I open my GOOGLE PLAYER (think this is the stock audio player idk) all the tracks in question all have the same album art but its a different album art........ wtf
- My iTunes library is fine and all album art is correct. Not all tracks have art but thats fine..
WHAT I HAVE TREID:
- Deleted entire music library and iSyncr app off device and re-synced everything with no luck..same problem
- Deleted black player and all associated files on device. no luck
- Tried multiple music players and all have the same problem. Almost all tracks that didn't have any album artwork on my device now have A$AP Rockys album cover as their image... but in black player the album cover they all have is one from Adventure Club...
- Used a 3rd party album artwork software to delete the troublesome artwork. no luck, doesn't work.
I am so frustrated has anyone ever has this issue? I Googled and couldn't get any hits. Thanks guys.

Strangest part is I had been using it for months on windows before and never had this issue. Even my other macbook it worked fine :/

Something wasn't working right so this thread helped me. Deleted the app from my phone completely and all my music again as well as reinstalled it on my mac and updated the iTunes settings. album art works now and I am so happy.
