anyone else with password issues - Atrix 4G General

I am having a password issue. It is when I am using the webtop application and am using the Firefox Browser Citrix Xen plugin to access office software. One piece of software won't accept the password (strong with letter/symbols/numbers) even though it is correct. This is when I use the mouse/keyboard on the phone. I tried both swype and other and played with the setting to no avail. Other software no problem.
Has anyone else experienced any kind of password problems using the phone and have any tips to fix??
Thanks!

Internet Explorer on Orange

I'm an avid facebook.com user and often liked to hook up to m.facebook.com using my old Magician. Now I have a Trinity, have set up the wireless correctly etc, but it won't accept my login details. It just returns to the login screen with my details still sat there. I've tried other sites, that don't require logging in and the connection is set up fine. While I accept there could just be a problem with facebook mobile, I don't use any other sites where I have to login with specific details, so can't test this possibility....
Has anyone else experienced any difficulties with ie on this phone?
Opera
Have since installed Opera Mini and it logs in fine... So can only assume internet explorer has an issue with sending data..?
Now to get msn on this thing... Still kinda missing the Magician, but for the wireless LAN...

By any chance have you disabled cookies? That's a very common cause of login problems. I use several sites that require login and they work fine.
Cookies
No, cookies enabled. Tried clearing them too, but still just loads up the same page each time...
Must have been a site issue, as it's all now working fine...

Email web log in problem

CAn anyone please help with the following problem?
When I log onto my email provider's web access page using a WiFi connection from my Hermes everything goes OK until the point when I have to enter my username and password. At this point all keyboard input into the relevent boxes appears to be disabled, but I can still control the browser OK. Any ideas ??
chances are the site is encrypted or uses SSL and the version of pocket IE on your device does not support logging into that site. you can set the account up in messaging or you can try a different browser such as opera mobile.
http://www.opera.com/download/mobil... Pocket PC phones running Windows Mobile 5.0
Im not sure if this file works on WM6 but I had no problems when i used it on WM5.
Thanks Cliff I will try Opera - never did like IE anyway

Anyone having problems accessing Webmail via Oulook Web Access?

I have seen this same problem covered on forums for the Diamond and also on Opera related sites, but not really seen a solution as yet...
I'm having real problems accessing my company Webmail via Outlook Web Access (OWA) within Opera. Each time I do it, instead of getting the login screen I get a cookie authorisation problem where it tries to download 'CookieAuth.dll' (opening or saving does no good).
Through messing about I managed to get it to work ONCE! When i tried to replicate the scenario (clearing cache/cookies etc) it didn't work again .
I can get it to work through Skyfire, but I'm not entirely happy about using it here as pages are rendered on their servers...
I know some of you will say why don't you set it up to sync via ActiveSync, but I believe work have put some kind of block serverside which prevents me from doing this, so for the moment I'm stuck.
Any suggestions folks?
Had a similar problem myself and it was down to my office server using two versions of web access and one being outdated.
My resolve came from a simple change of web address.
Ask your Network admin if they have an alternative address for access.
Instead of the original owa.xxxx.xxxx I was told to use webmail.xxxx.xxxx for ours.

Thanks for your reply Farsquidge. Hmm, yes I'm using a webmail.xxx.com address - I think this is actually due to a problem with Opera, but you say that you can access it okay now?
I use OWA to my work without any issue
Why not just set up active sync instead?
Edit: uhm.. sorry
No problems accessing webmail.xxx.com on my end.

WLAN :: Browser authentication trouble

Hey guys,
At my school the students have access to an open WiFi network. The internet connection is routed through a local proxy, and when we first open the web browser we are presented with an authentication page where we input username and password. Using Firefox, Chrome, or any other browser on a regular computer, this works just fine.
On my Hero however, something prevents it from working correctly. I get the authentication screen, input my username and password, I click Login, but from here nothing seems to work.
The proxy spits out a message saying something like "authentication successful, logging you on to the network", but then it says something about a DNS timeout, and that I have to restart my browser to gain internet access.
Obviously, that doesn't work. I tried once to load google.com, using its IP and it worked I think (given that the browser didn't load it from the cache). I guess the problem somehow relates to the way Android handles DNS.
My Hero is not rooted, and for various reasons I'm not planning to do it either. Running latest official ROM.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated, as IT on my school doesn't seem to actually know anything about the authentication process.
I also have problem with secure login but in my case I can't load the securelogin page where I need to enter the user name and password.
Non android phone don't see this problem and also I don't have this problem with my android at my home with open WIFI.
I am using HTC Hero G3 with official android 1.5.
Hi, has anyone been able to make this work?
I'm also having the same experience but with my x10mp.
the browser login page is not displaying so i'm unable to use the wifi.
shameless self bump.
i have already tried 2 apps (Open Wifi Login and Browser Wifi Login) that should have solved this but did not.
can anybody help with this issue?

Skype - Certificate Issue?

https://login.skype.com/
Try connecting to that on your phone's internet browser. I think it must be a certificate issue.
I tried using Nimbuzz, that worked. Signed out of Nimbuzz, onto Skype then that worked. =/
Now anyone know about certificates on android?
Anyone know?
