FPse Configuration - G1 General

Hi I have FPse and cannot for the life of me configure it so that I can play my favorite classic X-Com on my G1. I have everything configured including the BIOS file but I cannot get the hardware buttons to work. When I assign a hardware key it appears as though it assigns and then when i go to play nothing works. Please help. Thanks.

Wow, not 1 reply, y'all stank! Figured it out on my own. Hate this forum. C ya.

nes emulator

Has anyone found an nes emulator that works on the vogue? I've tried pocket nes and pocket nester neither work.
I have PocketNES on my Touch... It works fine I just have to reassign buttons every time I reopen the ap.
I use pocketnester with no problems at all.

anywhere really. Pocketnestor automatically searches all directories for roms. I keep them in a folder on my storage card.
that being said, i'm finding this doesn't work that fast on the Vogue. It's near if not impossible to press two command buttons at the same time (say up and A or left and B...or even A+B together), so i find that it limits the games that can be played
i also find that certain games run *reaaall* slow, even if i update threading to realtime.
Anyone have trouble assigning the call button to the controller on the touch?
i followed the link to sourceforge, but which file am i supposed to download and extract onto my HTC touch? i'm still very new to this, any help would be appreciated.

Totally. i've discovered that for that reason, most action and platform games are useless. However, any type of puzzle game doesn't require multiple key touches... also, RPGs are great. I've been playing Final Fantasy 3(english hack) for a week now, and it's made my trips to work AWESOME.

I found that increasing the frame skip and thread priority in options helps with this. problem is,i find that if my thread priority high or real-time , when you're done with your emulator - you'll need to soft reset. It seems to cause some kinda memory loop

Java games - How would you re-configure the key settings?

I find it extremely frustrating to try to find java games that are compatible with the tytn.... or any phone.
It's sort of like a hit&miss situation.
Either the game itself will allow configuring of the buttons
OR
The game will FIXED in the settings, but compatible to my phone
OR
The game settings will be fixed and the keymapping is UNUSABLE!!!
Example : A game will be FIXED in settings to use the number keys for directions :
____2____~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~________UP_________
_4__5__6_~~~Which would be~~_Left__Center__Right_
____8____~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~_______Down________
So, the hermes D-Pad wont work and I'd have to use the full QWERTY keyboard to play... which is sort of WTF.
I've looked around for applications to adapt jar applications, but it seems like they are only developped for Motorola/Nokia/SE basic phones.
Any suggestions?

Best emulator control setup for Nexus one

This might not be for everyone but I thought I'd share. Before this I couldnt stand playing my games on Nesoid since the virtual D-pad wasnt that accurate and I would always end up pressing the wrong direction since it is very small and without something to feel you dont know what you are pressing. The same goes true for the virtual A and B buttons since they were so small I would constantly jump when I wanted to fire and vice versa...
So here goes:
- Under user settings make sure screen upside down is checked and set the orientation to only landscape (These settings will make sure you can use the trackball for your trackball D-pad on the proper left side we have always been used to PLUS it makes the screen size bigger)
- Set trackball sensitivity to 2 since the trackball is REALLY sensitive when at 3 or more
- Under key settings set the B button as volume down and A button as volume up
Presto! now you've got a physical d-pad on the correct side (left) and physical buttons on the right...
Hope this helps
Using the trackball to move would make it so u had to constantly scroll the TB to move :/ ... That would get rather annoying lol
I like it! Cool idea.
the virtual buttons on gameboid works well for me but this sounds like a good idea (for the a/b buttons) but idk about the track ball.....
edit: nevermind you can use vol up/down for bumpers on snesoid, let me try this out
what would be amazing is some sort of support for a bluetooth gamepad
That would be sweet, i noticed in snesoid if i turn off keypress vibration it makes it a lot lot lot easier to through combos in street fighter

I saw an article where some hacked a Playstation 3 controller (bluetooth) to work with the Nokia N900. Both phones run linux, so I'm thinking it's at least hypothetically possible.

tried this set up, and i have found that using the trackball is significantly less annoying than the on screen dpad
someone really needs to figure out how to get a PS3 controller paired up tho
Ok I can't help but put my 2cents in, in the market there is a program called wiimote and it controls as well as can accept input from the wii remote. Getting code like that to work with an emulator would truly make the android OS a competitor in the gaming market.
I have one of these: http://cgi.ebay.com/MSI-Bluetooth-G...oysticks_Game_Controllers?hash=item19ba54b4e7
And I have successfully paired a BT keyboard to my Nexus a while back.. I'll give it a try and get back to you guys.

Htc HD 2 morphgear exelent but problematic

Hello thread i just installed morphgear into my HTC LEO and WOW!!! what a difference! i have had previosly the htc hd 1 and its a big change, so quick, even the sound is bearable i forget after a while that its not perfect. love it.
One problem though! In the GBA rom Zelda: Minish cap, the game always freezes in the beginning when i enter Minish Woods, no idea why same thing on my htc hd 1 any ideas what could be causing this?? thank you
oh ps: the pokemon games seem to not be able to save:S
the games are incredibly fun now with multitouch, but this stops me, help please!!
maybe ur rom is corrupt? u should download another of the game..
oh, and in the pokemon games.. try using the integrated savefunction of morphgear.. its faster and better ^.^ almost never save my games without it..
yeah, +1 for what the previous guy said, pokemon saves for me if i use morphgear but not the start menu option. I'd forgotten how addictive that crap is!
Sounds like a duff rom, had the same problem with revenge of shinobi for the mega drive (genesis, for those across the water) downloaded a different rom and all is well.
Now my days at work just fly by, makes mincemeat of my battery though!
Thanks for the reply!! Helps alot! with the pokemon games.
But ive downloaded a different rom from a different site, even different sizes MB wise and exactly the same problem?
any more ideas?
Again its specifically a problem with Zelda: Minish Cap, when entering Minish woods at the beginning after princess zelda turns to stone.
love morphgear on my Hd 2 with multitouch but this specific game gives me a problem, its frustrating considering as another member said before its very ¨addicting¨ XD
UPDATE: Fixed the problem, after Princess Zelda turns to stone, don't go directly to Minish Woods, go south like if you were going back home, the road will be blocked and talk to one of the workers, then go to Minish Woods, this way its doesn't freeze, STRANGE!! but works so I'm happy
Hope this helps!!

Hello, its not to hard here are the steps to install it correctly, again this way positively works for htc hd 2 and htc hd 1.
Step 1: go to the morphgear webpage at http://www.spicypixel.com/web/page/morphgear/Home.aspx. go to the download tab and find the Windows Mobile - Download Version 2.3.0.2 (MorphGear ,Modular game and emulation engine.)
it should come in a .cab just pass it over to your phone, and install it either into the sd card or phone memory.
Ps, if you have an HTC HD 2 they have ported it with bigger buttons and instructions on how to add the multitouch gamepad here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=593464 trust me its not that difficult, its really not (Oh and by the way the morphgear engine(program .cab) cames with the snes module already activated)
Step 2: on the morphgear website download any of the modules you'd like GBA, SNES, etc and install that into your phone.
Step 3: Open the program (it should be under games, or programs list) click the image on the right of a joystick you can choose your settings, sound no sound etc.
Step 4: now that you have everything set up find yourself a rom, google search example: GBA ROMS (or any other system) and download it should be a zip file.
Step 5: after you have downloaded place it into your phone, then open morphgear and click the folfer image on the left, find your .zip game and PLAY.
PS: imorphgear is a payed aplication, you can have the snes module free and activated in the link above, but for the other you have to find a code, (private message me if you want a GBA Code).
Also on the link above for the HTC HD 2 scren settings dont change, unless you do it with the registry, not ard either just have to do it, I changed it too full screen works great with game pad.
NOw you have all the games to your hearts desire and on The HTC LEO they are fastttttt.
Good luck!
Great Alex! Will definitely try this now! Thanks for the guide. will keep you updated.
UPDATE!!!:
Many users have been asking how to change the settings on their HTC Leo in Morphgear.
Here are the steps:
1) You need to have a registry editor, I use PHM Registry Editor, which can be found here http://www.pocketpcfreeware.com/en/index.php?soft=31. ( you can use others but thats the one thats simplest for me.
2)After instalation, you can go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER, Software, Morphgear, Then you pick your console and edit whatever you want.
3) For me the best setting for my leo where: Go to the steps above and click any of the consoles, y use mostly GBA so: HKEY_CURRENT_USER, Software, Morphgear, Gameboyadvanced, then you scrool down and to screen size and change the value from 100% to WINDOW SIZE. Thats the best for HTC LEO in my opinion.
4) If you want to use the d-pad WVGA-MT-Dredd67 v0.3 (Exelent by the way since it has multitouch and its very finger friendly) Go here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=489147 follow the instructions put the files in the right folder.
5) after your done go to the registry editor and again go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER, Software, Morphgear, Gameboyadvanced(or any console) and go to PADSKIN change the default and Write exactly the name of the pad skin you downloaded in this case WVGA MT Pad v0.3 by Dredd67.
then press ok to change.
Now restart your phone if youd like or just make sure your out of morphgear and then start it up again, the settings should be there.
PS: Once you start the game the D-Pad will show up when you tap the screen.
Good Luck hope this helps.
+ 1 for the great patience and support. Thanks mate.
I'm having the same problem with the pokemon saving in the emulator. I used the state save that Morphgear provides, which works fine, but then I beat Elite Four and the game just exited out. So my only options are either start a new game or keep on playing from where I last saved before Elite Four. It doesn't put me back at my house in the game like it's supposed to. Help anyone? There has GOT to be a way to save in-game!!!

[GUIDE] OUYA controller on Windows (working 100%)

Hey guys,
I thought I'd chime in on using the OUYA controller under Windows as I finally have it working 100%.
I recommend using vJoy in conjunction with Universal Joystick Remapper. vJoy installs a virtual controller driver whereas Universal Joystick Remapper lets you forward (and tweak) the input from the OUYA controller to the virtual one. By doing this, you can have a fully working D-pad, both thumb sticks working and you can get rid of the annoying z-axis value being created by the left trigger.
1. Download and install vJoy. As I'm a new user, I'm not allowed to post external links, so I'm afraid you'll have to use Google.
2. Open 'Configure vJoy' from the start menu and copy the settings found in the first picture attached to this post: 1.png.
3. Download and install Universal Joystick Remapper. Again, sorry but you'll have to use Google.
4. Download the attached zip file ujr.zip, which contains the configuration file (ini) for Universal Joystick Remapper and unzip it in the correct folder.
5. Open Universal Joystick Remapper and keep it running while playing your games.
At this point you're done! But in case you'd like to use your OUYA controller as a 360 controller, you can also run this configuration in conjunction with the Xbox 360 Controller Emulator x360ce.
1. Download and install as you would usually do. There's plenty of information out there if you're not familiar with it.
2. Open up x360ce.exe and configure it as in the 2nd picture I attached: 2.png.
3. Make sure to apply the settings from the picture to the vJoy device and not your actual OUYA controller. Also, as the OUYA controller shows up as controller 2 in x360ce, I loaded up the 'clear' preset for controller 2. This way we're only using the vJoy virtual controller in x360ce and not the actual OUYA one.
Hope this helps! This is my first guide, so forgive me if it's not completely clear and not according to the xda standards.

Thanks a lot man. I don't have anything to play with the controller on the PC, but with this, I'm sure I'll find a lot of interesting stuff. Again, thanks a lot...

I see the purpose, I just don't see the point. The Ouya controller is of poor quality compared to comparable hardware, so why would one limit their gaming experience? Thanks none the less.

I know everyone on the internet says that the OUYA controller is the worst among the rest, but I just don't see it. I like it, it's sturdy enough. I never missed a button and the long handles make a better grip for me. A lot better than the old PS3, the new Amazon Fire TV, Moga pocket and MOga pro. Those are the ones i tried and I'm still happy with mine. May be I got a better one, or may be because I'm not a hardcore gamer and all I do is a couple of low quality games. My nephews also asked me what the crap I'm using, hahaha. But they have all kinds of gaming consoles.
Again, maybe it's just me because I actually don't own any of the other consoles and tried the controllers for a couple of times, 5-10 minutes each.
Still, the whole point is if you have that one lying around, it's better to put it to use instead of buying a new one.

Thanks, but I'd need some help I think.
I've made exactly everything you said but I can't get it working
Is it normal that when i launch ujr (with your ini file) it doesn't appear any window? It's icon sits on the appbar but it does nothing.
I also tried doing a configuration using x360ce but it does not seems to work.
Also, the D-pad does not work with x360ce...
