can't find any download for the "Segoe WP" font.

Alright I tried this out on Stock 2.2. Looks good, but what did you do for the Music app and the Lockscreen? Both mine look the same. I can't actually run CM7 because my phone hates unRevoked and z4root lol. I screwed up the 5vibe fix.

The music app may be "Ubermusic" which is a paid app from the developer of launcher pro and there are themes for it in the market. The app itself has an its option in settings to link you to the themes (windows 7 included) and its a real nice looking app.

Just search them internets. Its on XDA in a thread in the WP7 section. The first post in the thread has an exe, disregard that and download the zip somewhere around post 4 or 5.

ICS modded settings app on any cm7 rom

Those who want the look of ics setting app on cm7 so here you got it
I tried it on latest nightly but I think u can use it on any rom but never forget to make backup but I did not do it

I never tried on stock rom.try replacing default setting app with this one.make backup of original setting first.
If it works ok,otherwise restore your backup

A nooby question- u said we can just backup settings app instead of doing the whole nyandroid routine, but i can't find an app specifically named settings (in tb pro). Am i missing something or is there an app in /system

Using root explorer go into system/app and copy setting app to SD.
Now take out the setting.apk from the zip provided above and paste it in app and change permission to rw-r-r and reboot your phone.
If it did not work,replace your original apk in same way

restarted, and it works.

[Q] How to enable keyboard secondary hold to press keys?

A quick question about JB 4.2 keyboards. I've installed several ROMs and some have little grey letters/numbers at the top of each key for hold to type as in the screen shot attached. But other ROMs don't have these extra hold to use keys.
I can't find a keyboard setting anywhere for it, so is it a different keyboards apk or some setting I've missed that activates it?

Easiest thing to do is download SmoothROM and go to system/app/LatinIME.apk and extract that and open on your N7. Should be fine then. Or reflash your ROM to put it back.

I'm curious to actually know the answer to this. I have the 4.2 kb on my gs3 that I flashed in and it shows the long press symbols. On this device running stock 4.2.1 straight from Google, it does not have them. I really would like to know the reason why...

Pretty sure its a CM mod keyboard and not a stock AOSP one. So if you extract the kb apk from a CM ROM and flash it on your current ROM you should be good to go...

hello i am searching for an zipable black keyboard wich overwrites my standart android keyboard in black. (dont want to use another keyboard app)

Try searching for RUJelus22 inverted apps. Those are what I use. Or, Google search "inverted apps," look for a site that says "Eclipse." He makes good inverted apps, with keyboard too, I think.

That's because the same app has been installed. You have to manually copy the latinime.apk or keyboard.apk to system/app manually. (or just.. flash the zip?)

have no zip its apk but does not work also...

That's because you already have a keyboard app there. Rename currently installed apk (or just move it somewhere else), and move the inverted keyboard into system/app (Or try to install normally). Should work now.

i give it up i though it would be much easyer to install a black keybard...

Change S-View Cover Background?

Is there any app or root tweak that will let me change the background for S-View Cover?
I'm sure there are images I can swap out in a root folder, but I have no idea which one. . . .

Should be under settings... changes the color not background though.

Yeah, I saw that. But I'm looking specifically for a tweak or image location that will allow me to put anything I want in it. Like a family photo, custom photo, etc.
I had the G2 for a few days and was able to do that with built in settings, but this one is different.

yes you can !
Extract the framework-res.apk of your custom rom, open with winrar v5, change or replace with your mainbg_pattern_mainarea.png on directory : res/drawable-sw360dp-xxhdpi .
On note 3, copy on your sdcard, and with root explorer replace this on system/Framework (reboot is automatic when you change the .apk) enjoy!
Background

Think I'm on to something!
I think I might have found a way. I deodexed a couple of files and decompiled them. Found some code that sets the Alpha to 10% on the background image of the s_view Cover. Going to try setting alpha to transparent. Once I figure out how re odex them I'll try it out and post my results. Probably gonna have a snow day tomorrow so I'll be working on it!
