Upgraded wife's VF HTC Magic OTA to 2.2.1, but the update is draining the battery very fast and the phone is really slow. Many people have a problem with this.
Is there a way to root and downgrade to 1.6?

Does anyone know where I can get the 3 UK 2.1Android Rom (other than an officicalOTA Update. So many Roms on the forums but I can't find this one. I really want it.

The updates are done through OTA. The only released Official Genuine 2.1 RUU ROMS is for WWE version not 3(Three), Orange, T-Mobile e.t.c.
What you need to do is try find a 3(Three) RUU 1.5/1.6.

You have also been told what to do over at androidforums.com. Get someone on the 3(Three) network to download the official HTC 3(Three) RUU ROM from HTC UK Support Page.
Radio?
Does anyone know what version of radio the official Three UK 2.1 update uses?
I've been holding off on upgrading to the radio from the WWE RUU since orange users reported problems with theirs.

I have a debranded Legend and currently I'm on 2.03.405.3 software (flashed with RUU_Legend_HTC_WWE_2.03.405.3_Radio_47.39.35.09_7.08.35.21_release_130330_signed) and I'm not getting any OTA updates...
I've made several hard resets and no way: it says my device is up-to-date.
1. What is your software version right now?
2. Why isn't my Legend getting the OTA updates, any ideas?
P.S: My Legend is originally from Vodafone ES

Well because there's NO UPDATE!! 2.03.405.3 is the latest WWE, 2.05 WWE was pulled because of the SMS sorting bug

i have a debraded unrooted htc legend vodafone spain, curentlly with the official stock htc rom 2.1 update1, and would like to rebrand it, downgradeing if neccesery, anyone know were can i find the stock android vodafone spain for the legend,

Hi, I had a nicely setup Legend that had clockwork recoverymod on it, and it was using a custom ROM (Froyo, debranded Vodafone), I was very happy.
My phone had to be sent for service under warranty, so I loaded the RRU of Vodafone Android 2.1 to get rid of traces of rooting. Problem is, I suspect the phone will be coming back today and I am guessing it's going to have the Vodafone Froyo release on it.
What steps do I need to do to get it back how it was? Does Froyo bring any new hurdles I have to overcome to get clockworkmod on it so I can load custom rom?

Easy job rooting it and getting the nandroid backup on there. How do I do the radio? Is it easier to just load the debranded vodafone ROM (which updats the radio) and then reload my nandroid?
Is there any advantages to the official HTC unbranded ROM, to the 3 week old Vodafone debranded ROM?

I successfully rooted and upgraded my htc magic 32B month ago to run CM5 to 6.1. Yesterday I heard about the 2.2.1 update from vodafone for my phone and wanted to downgroad.
It took me about half a day to get a 1.6 running on it. its a my touch 3g 1.6 version running on my phone with perfected spl.
My phone was provided actually by A1 vodafone - what I am asking: is there any sappimg.nbh to get my phone with my goldcard to the original A1 vodafone 1.6 version so I could get an 2.2.1 upgrade.
Or is there a sappimg.nbh with 2.2.1 vodafone available and perhaps using a custome recovery and/or an engineering spl?

thats how I got things working and afterwards waiting half a day - I got the 2.2.1 update from A1 mobilkom as a provider
