Is there a way to increase HSUPA speed on Bell Atrix yet? - Atrix 4G General

I wanna increase the speeds, but I didn't see anything here saying how I can do that, I'm hoping I just missed it.
So ya, is there any way to increase the HSUPA speed?

G1 on HSPA in North Georgia

Can someone confirm that they are getting speeds higher than 1.5mb down in the northern Atlanta area such as Cumming or Alpharetta. I know they have launched HSPA but I did not see the speed change at all or can it be my G1? I average anywhere from 500k to 900k and 1.5mb closer to midtown. I read in a Tmo forum that some dude was getting 5.5mb down at certain times. He lives in Buford which is not that far from Cumming.
I'm in Acworth and just ran a speed test and got 3.6Mbs down and 760k up, which is about 3X faster than I've ever seen here.
Thats odd, I wonder what it could be? Hope things change when I get the Samsung Vibrant.

Did AT&T cripple our HSUPA too? How to improve your 3G+ speed.

OK 2 birds one stone. First I don't think this is helpful for us but feel free to try out. I already got 2.5Mb/s before applying these changes on AT&T network. After applying it, I still receive same HSDPA.

Secondly, not that important but I hate it when AT&T starts to mess w our speed. I used to have greater than 0.05Mb/s upload speed before. It doesn't matter to me as I don't host or upload anything much from my tablet but just FYI.

****ty data speeds

can you look in your about phone section and post your signal strengths? im getting -60 db ish and i think thats probably why im only getting 1 meg down (and next to nothing up)
i did the update and i believe they screwed with the radio and crippled our speeds for now
There are tons of threads like this. It has nothing to do with the update, and nothing to do with signal strength. It's the fact that AT&T has yet to enable HSUPA on the Atrix and Inspire.... plain and simple. Supposedly they will have a patch to enable it by the end of April.
-60db is a strong signal. -80 to -90db is an average signal. -100db+ is a weak signal.
At -60db I usually get ~3Mbps down. Next to nothing up due to AT&T crippling HSUPA .
i'm only getting 1 meg down, thats the problem. and i live in downtown seattle where i was getting 3 or 4 with my att nexus one. im not sure what the problem is, or why it's doing that. i know
ATT has HSPA diabled on them but i should still not be getting only 1 meg download

hsupa is the reason the upload speeds are capped supposedly, not download. hsupa stands for high speed uplink packet something or other. hsdpa is download.
my phone claims H+ on my status bar with full 5 bar connection, but only 3G in the about me>status
thats a problem

I live in Seattle too... these are my speed tests:
the low ones you have are about the same as what i get on average. i havent ever seen one on the network go over 2k on this phone. i think its just ATT capping our phone but even so thats not right

ATT 3G speeds

Any idea what average ATT data speeds are? Specifically in Denver. What does your Focus max out at on 3g? Reason I ask is because I am tired of how Sprint's 3g is basically limited to 2mbps max, anything higher is 4G which kills your battery and is spotty. That's if you have a 4G device even. I know that Tmobile is great with HDSPA and HSPA+ I used to get 7mbps on my Vibrant over 3g with no issues here. How is ATT though, is it pretty similar?
2 to 3mbps down, 300k up is what optimal AT&T 3G can get. The upload speed is capped by AT&T on all but iPhones.
On average, the download speed is about 1mbps. In populated big cities, it can be much lower. So, it all depends how many AT&T customers are on the same tower as you.
Ah I see, so I won't see more than 2 on focus more than likely. I have issues with arrive Zune streaming completely screwing up when I get or send a text, I'm assuming it is due to simubtaneous voice and data not being available, I wonder if that problem exists on focus
Sent from my SPH-D700 using XDA App
As long as you're on 3G signal, you have simultanous voice and data. Not sure about your problem. Maybe due to the lack of multitasking?

Anyone w/ Focus on T-Mobile notice 3G or 3G+

I know cause of the deal being off now that T-mobile gets to use ATTs 3g.
Just wondering if anyone notice because I notice while I was in downtown Sacramento I downloaded a speed test app and it said I was pulling 2.1mbps(d)and .5mbps(u).
And that's on a phone that's stuck on I think it's like 250kbps or whatever EDGE speed is at cause of the 1700/2100 need for 4g/3g on T-Mobile.
Sorry if it sound like I'm rambling.

I'm not, but I'm curious if you have this fix on your phone? Might help, if you don't have it.
Extra Slow 2G
I'm just curious, for those of you who are still on Tmobile's 2G (EDGE) network with the Samsung Focus, what kinds of speeds are you getting on the edge network? I'm getting a measly 5.5 kilobytes per second. Sometimes not even that.
Yes I am well aware that TMobile is rolling out 3G on the 1900mhz frequency that the Samsung Focus uses for the TMobile service, and I can't wait to actually see 3G/3G+ on my Focus for TMobile finally. Though I'm really just curious as of right now, what kinds of speeds is everyone getting for the EDGE Network, because I'm seeing people on Howard Forums report getting 150 kbps to 200 kbps, of course they're not really clarify if they're getting kiloBYTES or kiloBITS. So for all intensive purposes for replies to my inquiry, let's try to keep it all in kiloBYTES per second.
Thanks everyone.
