I can´t connect to twitter with twicca, it keeps sending : failed to enable oauth.
anybody, helpppppp!
It's working on my Spica. When do you get the error message? What have you tried already? Are you on wifi or 3G? Which rom are you using?
I'll answer those questions myself so you get an idea of what might be working.
- I installed Twicca from the market client on my Spica 5 min ago.
- I had a wifi connection while downloading, installing and configuring
- When I tried to authorize, Twicca asked if I wanted to use browser, Plume (my usual Twitter client) or xScope (other browser).
- I chose browser so it's easy to replicate.
- I was asked to log in with my Twitter credentials, and I saw a pin code.
- I wrote down the pin, went back to Twicca and entered the pin.
- First I got 'unknown error',
- Second time I entered the same pin, I got 'twitter is currently not available'.
- When I pushed back button after that, it started loading my tweets anyway and Twicca seems normally useable.
- I'm on SpicaGenMod alpha_b2
I´m using cyanogenmod 6.1.1 alpha 8.3.2, i use wifi, when i open twicca it ask for my username and password, when i enter them I get the error, it never ask me for authorize.
Don´t really know what to do.
Thanks anyway

Hi guys,
I have unlocked my phone and am able to run Android 1.1 from Bootkit 0503 found on this forum. While it runs great with minor issues one thing annoys me a lot.
I cannot log into Marketplace, Calendar, sync contacts etc. because the gmail login prompt always fails. It says there something in the sort of: There's something wrong with your SIM card or connection.
I have the browser working when I enter the APN in defaults.txt in Haret. I have to connect through the modem application in Android first. I have never succeeded to amke the "Togga" application connect to anything. I tried entering the APN in Android itself too, but this doesn't seem to have an effect.
It is really annoying to have working GPRS in Android (I can browser on the web), but the Calendar applications etc. refuse to acknowledge it.
My provider is Telmore in Denmark.
How do you guys make it work?

Sorry I havn't checked back until now.
The problem got obsolete after I bought the HTC Magic where "it just works".
Thanks for responding though.
I am sorry to post this irrelevant question, but how did you load Android on your touch dual? I would love to do this as well!
Is there a guide for complete newbies somewhere?
I got a build from here:

There are links to forum threads which discuss installation.
Hey guys,
At my school the students have access to an open WiFi network. The internet connection is routed through a local proxy, and when we first open the web browser we are presented with an authentication page where we input username and password. Using Firefox, Chrome, or any other browser on a regular computer, this works just fine.
On my Hero however, something prevents it from working correctly. I get the authentication screen, input my username and password, I click Login, but from here nothing seems to work.
The proxy spits out a message saying something like "authentication successful, logging you on to the network", but then it says something about a DNS timeout, and that I have to restart my browser to gain internet access.
Obviously, that doesn't work. I tried once to load google.com, using its IP and it worked I think (given that the browser didn't load it from the cache). I guess the problem somehow relates to the way Android handles DNS.
My Hero is not rooted, and for various reasons I'm not planning to do it either. Running latest official ROM.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated, as IT on my school doesn't seem to actually know anything about the authentication process.
I also have problem with secure login but in my case I can't load the securelogin page where I need to enter the user name and password.
Non android phone don't see this problem and also I don't have this problem with my android at my home with open WIFI.
I am using HTC Hero G3 with official android 1.5.
Hi, has anyone been able to make this work?
I'm also having the same experience but with my x10mp.
the browser login page is not displaying so i'm unable to use the wifi.
shameless self bump.
i have already tried 2 apps (Open Wifi Login and Browser Wifi Login) that should have solved this but did not.

i had this all of a sudden, when it worked fine one day then not the next.
'peep' our 3rd party twitter app has to now be 'allowed' access to twitter.
must have been a security update done by twitter.com in the last few weeks.
heres how i fixed this issue.
i went to twitter.com then logged in as usual,
top left i went to 'settings' and found a setting to 'enable' / 'disable' (or was it allow/disallow?) 3rd party apps.
anyways, on twitter.com i set it to allow 3rd party apps access to twitter.
then back on my hd2 i logged out... then back in again
and everything worked again.
hope this helps
[Q]Can't login to twitter!
I tried to search for my problem in our forum and I didn't find any solution for my problem ..
I can't login to HTC sense Twitter through GPRS or 3G connection .. I Only be able to connect through PC connection when my device is connected to the PC by the USB wire ..
it gives me this message when I try to login with GPRS or 3G connection:
Login Error
There was a conncetion error while attempting to login
My HTC HD2 is : HTC HD2 8250
I am useing refrence rom v.: 1.66.415.9
Radio v.: 2.1050.08_2
Protocol v.: 15.37.50.07U
I am useing Co0ki's Home v.1.8.5.1
I faced a similar problem with my E-mails accounts, but I found solution in editing the "Advanced sever settings" of the E-mail accounts by changing the "Network conncetion" to Provider GPRS instead of "The internet" ..
I can't find similar setting for HTC Sense Twitter
Please may any one Help me ??
I cannot sign into Appbrain. When Appbrain asks me to sign in I go to the sign in and it hangs up on https://www.google.c........ I have done an uninstall and install and that did not help. I do have access to my Gmail, Calendar, etc. without any Internet problems. I can use my PC and sign into Appbrain and that is OK. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
Here is additional info and my steps in signing in via my HD2 w/Android when I am in Appbrain:
1. Manage and Sync> Please sign in with your Google account
2. Sign In> https://www.appbrain.com
3. Automatically goes to: https://www.google.com/accounts/servi... (with lock icon shown indicating it is a secure site) and stops. I get - 'No network connection' 'Browser cannot load this page because there is no internet connection.'
Yet I can access other sites via Internet.
I go into Settings and have the following settings:
Block pop-up windows (checked and even tried without this checked, too)
Enable JavaScript (checked)
Enable plug-ins (Always on)
Accept cookies (checked)
Show security warnings (checked)
Internet is working as I can get to any site such as Yahoo, Ebay, droidxforums.com, etc.
However, it seems if I tried to SignIn that is when I can't get any further? It seems like I cannot sign into Google even though I can sign on to my Google account via PC. I even get Gmail on my phone. so, I am completely confused.
Any suggestions?
I have the same problem. Solution anyone?
Galaxy S btw
never mind...now it works
sorry for the warm up, i also have taht problem,
can it be causer by CoreDroid?
I just booted up my old note 3 for use as a drone controller, but for some weird reason I am unable to get into the play store because every time I try to add a google account it gives me the message 'Cannot establish reliable connection to server' despite my internet connection working perfectly fine (can access play store on chrome and android browser)
At first I thought this might be due to a date/time error but even after manually setting the date and time (as well as automatic settings) the error persists. The weather app, S assistant, Youtube and web browsing works fine, however several applications like Flipboard, ChatOn, DJI Go 4 and any type of google service which requires a account are all unable to connect to their servers. I've tried using a different WAP, verifying client access via the web and factory resetting the phone, but nothing seems to fix it.
If anyone knows how I can fix this it would be greatly appreciated.
