No, my internet speeds are not slow. Upload isn't HSUPA, but my download speed is not slower than my N1.

Well I'm referring to uploads

Throttled but not throttled... that is the question!

Hey all simple question to see if this has happened to anyone else. A couple of days ago I got the dreaded you are now throttled text. However, my data speed hasn't changed one lil bit. I haven't implemented any throttle mods or anything like that. Has anybody else ever experienced this?
Yeah, quite a few people experience that. The throttle seems to be hit or miss. If you read the defunct throttle fix thread, you'll see a lot of folks don't get throttled at all even though they get the text. I get throttled at exactly 5gb now, text or not. I'm jealous of you.

Or Denver I get the same speeds if not a lil faster

I think some major cities have different ways of throttling because when I'm throttled I'm at 5 or 6 down and 1 up and sometimes it doesn't happen

Simple mobile vs t-mobile

Is simple mobile data better than t-mobile? Is it really unlimited and stays at 4g with no cap?
Sent from my HTC Glacier using xda premium
No. It has a 5GB cap.

There is defiantly a 1 Gb cap and I went through the Mytouch 3G, Mytouch slide and Mytouch4G while with them and always had problems with mms messages it's like if the picture size was to big it was a problem receiving pictures.
Never heard of simple mobile is it like tmobile ?
I had a mytouch4g. I loved the phone but hated the service from T-Mobile. I would get no bars of 3g in my home. I couldn't browse the web or download apps without getting on my wifi. Calls were dropped all the time. It would also take hours to send and receive pictures. I got fed up and got a phone with Verizon and I'm loving the reception.

It's a MVNO using T-Mobile's network.
I been with simple mobile for about 6months now and there is no data cap regardless of what some people believe.
But if you use up too much bandwidth with apps like Netflix they will throttle you back to 2g .
I'm always streaming music or on the net or on YouTube and I haven had any issue with that.just don't use Netflix or any app similar or any bittorrent or tethering and you will be fine.

There speeds are the same as T-mobile but 1 thing I totally forgot if you use data to fast they will throttle you instantly 1 month I was on a flashing spree and instead of restoring my apps on wifi I was doing it on the network. They throttled me with a little over 1Gb of use they figured I was using my phone as a Hot spot and would not unthrottle me after I called to complain and tell them I was leaving.

Virgin Mobile MIFI hotspot

Well, I need an internet access in the USA. I found Virgin Mobile deal to be cheaper than other carriers.
This is the device + 35 USD plan:

Samsung infuse running cm9 network speeds

I'm running cm9 on my infuse and have android 4.0.4 running with it. I've noticed recently I'm getting slower data speeds (around 1.5 megs vs. 4 earlier. About a week ago) I set my apn to the first post in this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1791526
I live in central Washington, is there a known server that will give me enhanced data speeds?
Thanks
