B7610 community

Hi to everybody, i'm an italian (so sorry for grammatical mistakes) owner of a Samsung B7610.
I start this new topic with the purpose of creating a "community" for this device.
This community is divided in various session, with different purposes.
I hope this project will help me and lot of people in developing and loving this device.
After this short introduction let me introduce you the "B7160 Community":

Well, for the wifi on android i will try to do something but i'm not very skilled in porting...anyway i will look for slutions and i will sure let you know if there are some news!!!

it seems that this community isn't having much success...i hope things will change soon...

Hey , im currently working on a project to port the Galaxy S3 to the android kitchen. Im asking if anyone could send me a old HD2 device. For development purposes to help understand how the process goes.IF anyone would like to send me one please either pm me or email: covenant123 @gmail.com

Have you already looked into the kitchen code or identified a problem ? There shouldn't be much special in terms of support by "android kitchen".

Yes, me and my partner have already started working on this. But it's not easy since we don't know how some files work. And what do you mean by special support?

unfortunately I can not speak English ...
Also I can not read English ...
you wanted to ask for help to know which files need to put android on the machine ...
I've had to do videos on youtube but I can not know what files they use and where did download these files ...
can they help me?
only needed an explanatory video and the order of the files to install ...

but is not mentioned in these videos where you get the files ...

It will be difficult to guide you through the installation when you don't know English. What's your native language? Maybe a member who speaks it will be able to help? Or better yet, google "install android Hd2" in your own language.

My language is Portuguese with said in my first post ...
in Portuguese not arrange anything at least I can not find ...
all there is in English ...

You did not say your native tongue was Portuguese. Anyway, we can't really help you, all we can do is to provide you with guides, but these guides are going to be in English.
Don't you have a friend or a family member who speaks English so they can help you?
There is this guide which I wrote, which has all the required files linked within itself. It might be a good start for you, and once you get a hold of the installing process, you won't need guides.
The guide is also quite short and straight forward, so you won't need to translate much.

Do you know other languages? i mean, i'm Italian for example and if you know italian or have a relative/friend/etc that know it I can guide you through installation process and give you suggestions... I've installed many android roms on my hd2, so I have some experience...

Help to start developing custom rom

First of all I file my name is John , I'm Uruguayan ( that's why my English is so bad, I apologize to all ) .
I recently bought a N900 Note 3 and I'm really fascinated .
I am a follower of Dr. Ketan 's, his work is excellent and the way in which answers our queries is admirable.
I come to you after searching information on the development and modification of applications or roms for our device . Actually I found a lot of information about the subject but I'm confused and before i break something 'd like to see if they know ( all of you ) can help me .
Basically what I want is that I help prepare the development environment and that's where I froze .
What operating system should use for this?
What tools do we need to not die in the attempt?
Once you have the working environment could start getting involved more in this world that I love, if all goes well , I promise unconditional dedication to actively participate in the forum and help with what I have learned.
We again apologize to all for my bad bad bad English and thank you in advance to those who help me in this new project I want to tackle this year.

Hello dear e7/elite users.
It's time to port Lollipop for our phone.
First of all. I'm not a developer. I'm just a Computer Teacher. And i have some skills about linux and android.This project will be an educational for me too.

im trying to get device tree. working on it.
i have nexus 5 cm 12 for port. and not so much time. you know i'm working and i can only work with this project at evenings and weekends.

Update 1 :I Have device tree and stock system.img. Started to edit build prop etc.
