Hey guys,
I have a 3G PQi Adam and airplane mode is permanently on. If I turn it off it doesn't actually turn off. I cant use the radio. The radio in status says "Radio off" and I can not toggle airplane mode. I have reflashed using the nvflash supplied with the recovery kit. Currently running the "NIO20220211" firmware. The radio stopped working after flashing Beast rom 1.3 to 1.35 upgrade from clockwork mod 3.0.1.4. ADB doesn't work. I can't access logcat for any help. The Adam is recongnised as a "NI Adam USB Device" under "Disk Drives"
Dan
Edit: Solved radio, SIM doesn't work. But it worked 3 days ago in my Adam, and its still enabled on the network.

My other phones connect fine (vista32) , with my mytouch i get a constant "paired but not connected" message, i tried the long press and then connect but that did not help , it just goes back to "paired but not connected"
NO LUCK NO JOY plz help!
ps: also tried rebooting and airplane mode / on/off
I got a serious problem with the N4 of a friend.
First thing to know: his display was broken and he got it repaired. Afterwards, his phone was running fine. Then, he got the Android 4.3 OTA. He accepted the update, but since then in keeps bootlooping (I won't go past the Nexus-X). As far as I know, everything was stock!
Here are the things I tried:
- first I checked the recovery. Indeed it was the stock one, so nothing to do here.
- I wanted to wipe or flash the stock rom using fastboot but i wasn't able to get a connection. First I thought of driver issues, but my N4 works fine (adb & fastboot) on the same computer.
- Establishing a connection failed on two other computers too (my N4 worked)
- Even the device manager in Windows 7 dosen't even recognize anything when plugging in the usb cable (normally you see the ADB whatever device listed in the device manager)
- Right now I tried to get a connection using Ubuntu. Again, no usb device was recognized when plugging in the cable.
So right now, I'm a bit lost. It seems, that the usb port is broken since I can not establish a connection. And without that, I won't be able to wipe or flash anything using fastboot.
Does anyone have an idea what could have gone wrong? I'm still able to boot into the bootloader and see the information:
Bootloader version: MakoZ20i
Radio: .84
HW Version 11
16GB version
According to these information, it seems that the 4.3 Update finished at least the bootloader and radio. But it won't boot into the rom. Could the download mode be of any help?
I appreciate any help.
Thanks.
Since you are in the bootloader scroll up to recovery and select it.
Now you will see a android opened up with "No command." written below the android.
Press volume up and power until it unlocks the recovery and try to wipe the data and cache partition followed by dalvik cache.

Thanks for your idea, but it turned out to be hardware problem!
I took the device to the lab and had a look at the usb connector. The contact in the middle was teared of the carrier and was stuck to the back and thus no data connection could be established! I was able to to bend it back (more ore less) to its initial position and now its working. Though I'm wondering how long it will last until its pushed back again.
Fact is, that i was able to connect via fastboot. I tried to flash 4.3 again but it still didn't boot. Its back to 4.2.2 and its working now.
Again - thanks for your idea.

Hello xda,
Just two days ago out of the blue while transitioning from home to the train with the Tegra on off (I remember turning it off during charging before I left) as I sat down on the train I found it turned on (unusual) I didn't think much of it but since then I later noticed that my Wifi was stuck on the "Turning Wifi on" message and that the app wouldnt allow me to click the cog in the top left to return to the settings page (moreover when I click the open programs buttons it just disappears..strange) the only reason my attention was brought to this was because my Bluetooth gave me an error saying it couldnt share bluetooth anymore.
At the time I thought a simple restart would fix it but nope it didn't. My tegra is rooted but I have had no problems until now!
Since then I have done
Factory data reset
Cleared memory cache
Factory restored using the advent factory 4.3 image http www adventcomputers co uk / product-download-select/296 (sorry first posts and I don't seem to be allowed to post links).
Right now I find myself stuck at the "Welcome" screen as after I select a language and press next the wifi tries to turn on and I cannot skip this.
Any suggestions on what I should/could try please? Is it a hardware problem like it happened with the Samsung Galaxy?
Thank you
Does anyone have a suggestion?
I am trying to compress the latest stock rom (Roms Stock 4.4.2 from rootjunkysdl) into a system.img in ext4 format so as to then place it in the automatic Vega-tegra recovery tool found at: www adventcomputers co uk / product-download-select/296
At the moment I am stuck at the fompressing a folder directory into an ext4 file .img format.
Anyone have any ideas?
The reason I am trying the above is because upon resetting it with the above mentioned recovery tool, the WiFi is still on "turning on" however with it resetting it to version 4.3 means I cannot find a way to bypass the welcome screens as it won't allow me past until I manage to connect it to the internet.
Please, any help at this point would be very much appreciated

Try some USB 3g/4g Dongle and insert it into micro USB , then you can connect to internet via 3g/4g and see if you can get past welcome screen.
...
I had similar problem "wifi just showing turning on forever" with a phone. But that had happened because I had accidently deleted the "insmod" binary from "/system/bin/" folder ( actually replaced it with the one that came with "precompiled busybox-1.21.1-armv7" from busybox.net.) So at that time my phone was not able to load the "Wifi module some .ko extension file") See if you are also having this problem.

You are having one of the symptoms of a bad OTA update/Flash/etc.
I described my problem in detail here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/nvidia-tegra-note-7/help/help-tablet-stuck-fastboot-t2967999
Today I plan to work on it, I'll let you know if I get it going again with Wireless and what I had to do.
I attempted to flash a custom rom on to my Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 (SM-T237P) and it didn't work. It is now stuck in a boot loop. I'm able to boot into stock recovery and also odin (download) mode.
I've tried to flash custom recovery in odin (TWRP) and it says it's successful, however when i do that it won't load the custom recovery it will load into Odin download mode. I've been able to get a hold of some stock recovery .tar files and flash back to the stock recovery and that works. So I can load back into the stock recovery.
I've attempted to flash stock firmware back on the device and I can't get it working. My device was running Android 5.1.
Please help,
Thanks
The tablet is now fixed and working. I was using a Mac computer to try flashing the stock ROM back to the device using Odin and it wouldn't work. I'm still not sure why the custom and stock recovery would flash using a Mac.
However, I used a computer running Windows 7 and flashed a stock ROM through Odin. I was running Android 5.1.1 and flashed a previous version, Android 4.4 and it works now. The tablet updated to 5.1.1 once I got it working.
So, if your using a Mac computer to attempt this, try using a Windows computer and it should work.
Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 (SM-T237P) Won't Stay Connected To Wifi
The reason I tried rooting and flashing a custom ROM on this device was because the device wouldn't stay connected a wifi network.
I have a fish finder (Raymarine Dragonfly Pro) that allows you to connect devices via Wifi. The wifi network doesn't have an internet connection and the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 (SM-T237P) would connect to it for about 15-20 seconds and then disconnect from the wifi.
Since this tablet was a 4G LTE tablet, it was trying to get that internet connection for you. Since the wifi didn't have internet it disabled it so the tablet would use the 4G service. The fix for this was to put the device in Airplane mode and enable the wifi. This fixed my issue.
- Put tablet in Airplane mode
- Enable Wifi
Hello there,
I have had this issue for some time now and hence not used the phone since then.
Now I see that the device is supported by LOS 16.0 and this has awaken my interest to see whether the device is salvageable or not.
Is there any guide or any information on how I can wake the radio up?
Thanks for anything you can offer

Is there any error message? What device firmware is running? Is it bootloader unlocked? Rom version?
It is really simple. The phone cannot be used as the radio seems to be permanently off. It is as if the flight mode is activated, but the flight mode is not activated. As soon as I enter the SIM card, it asks for the PIN code and the radio remains off. As the bootloader is unlocked I have tried several months back to install other OS, but was not successful in getting the radio to work . At the moment it is on Cyanogen oS 12.1-YOG4PAS3AJ on Android 5.1.1

I will try today with ZUi 2.5.414 and repost
Well, after some time I managed to install ZUI 2.5.414 and then LOS 15.1-20190225-Nightly.
The phone works like a charm...but the radio seems tostill be off. It recognizes the SIM, it asks for the PIN, but signal is zero, no data connection. As soon as I try to place a call, the message "Turn off he airplane mode to make a call" pops up, even though the airplane mode is not on...what a shame...

You can try the qpst/qfil rom https://forum.xda-developers.com/zuk-z1/help/zui-rom-qpst-qfil-fastboot-issue-t3632025/post74256368 maybe this helps you
