Faced with the problem. I want to calibrate the battery. To do this, I want to turn off the phone and put on charge, but the phone itself goes into recovery menu. Can somehow solve the problem? Aria Fr008

There is currently nothing that can be done about that. It will always boot into recovery if turned off and plugged in to charge.

Anyone know the best way to calibrate the battery on the DHD
Simple, just let the battery completely drain and charge it back to 100%.
With eyes, it works well : into taht sticky [READ before asking!] Compilation of DHD ISSUES, you'll find links leading to this one

This is a nice guide, but how do I go if I have a phone that is not rotated slightly off because it automatically goes into recovery?
It hibernates?

By that, do you mean the fast boot option for the DHD? You can turn it off by going to 'Settings' > 'Applications' > uncheck 'Fast Boot' option. That'll allow you to fully shut down the phone.
No, cwm boots up the phone when the power cord is connected, making it impossible to charge in "offmode".. It's a known bug in cwm, and theres no fix for it as far as I know.

if you want it to stay off, than flash a stock recovery
if you want to calibrate the battery, than don't worry, just do it. It still does what it has to do ; )
This way seems to have improved my battery life...
1) Clear battery stats in CWM Recovery
2) Turn your device ON and Charge the device for 8 hours or more
3) Unplug, power off, remove battery for a few seconds
4) Re insert battery, power on, wait until fully booted, charge until green LED
ok thanks to all
When I'm charging the phone while turned off the LED doesn't turn to green and when I remove the charger the led is still on, The only way to fix it is to remove the battery
Anyone got a solution for this? I need to recalibrate my battery

how can I calibrate my battery then?
What exactly do you mean by 'battery calibration'? :/
Just try to turn your phone while holding volume button. That works for me.

You cannot charge your battery with your rooted (with unrevoked 3.21) phone. Even i am unable to do it. May be you can try calibrating the battery in an un rooted phone.
Hi i have rooted my wildfire from 2.1 to 2.2 froyo and since i've make this, when i charge with the phone off, the phone freezes: the phone will not turn on and the green led is not seen but only red led which remains on. I am forced to remove the battery every time I turn on the phone after charging.
How can i fix this? I have also tried to flash other radio images, but without success.
Who can help me?
It is a known bug of clockworkmod and there is no fix as of now. This persists even in v3.x

actually try pressing the power button and trackpad button both at the same time, that might turn it on.

long time ago, when I used a Sony ericson, They claimed that better to turn it on during charging, it's can collect a electricity better than turn it off.
may be not true now.

Did you already try to wipe your battery stats? It's in recovery > wipe > wipe battery stats.
Hi guys i have been having a very strange problem with my Legend, it only ever charges to 80% no matter how long you keep it on charge!
I factory reset it and it still kept doing the same thing, so i took it in for repair and they updated my firmware then factory reset and said it worked, i came home put my apps back on and now still the same problem!
I have found that if i take the battery out of the phone overnight then put it back in it will fully charge and the green light will light up, or if it hasnt charged overnight and i turn the phone off then take the battery out and put it back in it will register that its fully charged!
I turn off wifi and 3g and everything while i charge it so i cant seem to understand whats causing this?
any help would be appreciated!
Cheers
maybe your battery is corrupted... try to replace the battery and see if any changes appear
my battery is fine, i have already tryed with another one!
any other ideas as to why???

Have you tried resetting your battery stats? That could be an issue. If you have root, launch ClockworkMod recovery and find the "reset battery stats" option. Use it and try a full charge.
If that doesn't work then perhaps something in your phone's hardware is borked. If that's the case you should send for a replacement if you can.

If it is really just standing for 1 minute, then it's your battery's problem! But if you've just enlarged the problem, you can calibrate your battery by charging it to 100%, then unplugging, let it drain the charge to 0% and turn off automatically. Try to turn it on without plugging till when it can't get turn on anymore. Then without turning it on, just plug it and charge it again to 100% (The LED goes to green). Then you can turn it on again. This may help!

if true, then it must be your phone's problem
get a new phone then:silly:
borrow/buy a battery and try it, if the problem still apprears, then it must be the phone in problem...(((
