I currently have both an evo an an epic. In your honest opinion, which is worth more to sell? (I don't mean support etc I mean dollar value.)

Hmm...well, they both go for the same price (after rebates) at the Sprint store. Obviously this is an Evo forum...I think the Evo would go for more, but it really depends on who answers your ad.
If I were you, I'd sell the Epic, just because I think you'd get more interest in a phone with a physical keyboard...
pretty sure epic is priced higher if u buy without an upgrade or discounts

I'm considering posting a Craigslist ad in my city (Houston) to see if anyone would be interested in straight up trading me their epic 4g for my Evo 4g. After having my Evo for a while I've decided that I indeed do need and want a keyboard. Full touch screen is not all the way for me. What do you all think?

Evo for epic doesn't seem like a fair trade if you ask me. How about throwing in some cash to get people intrests...just saying.
Id post it and see what happens. When I was selling my Evo I got several offers to trade my Evo for another Epic, as well as some that offered me an epic with cash and extras. However, I wanted the cash over a second Epic and eventually found a better offer. You gotta keep in kind that while many see the Epic as a superior phone over the Evo, especially on these forums, there are many out there that see it the other way around.

Its not a perceived value loss its an actual one lol right now the evo is 99 on contract down from 200 while the epic is 250. Its just a more expensive phone

I have two vibrants and I want to trade one of them in for another phone. What good phones am a able to trade in for?
If you get lucky, a mytouch 4g or g2. I was recently attempting to trade mine and had the most difficult time finding anyone with an equivalent phone without requiring me to throw in cash. Everyone turned me down when they found out it wasnt "the 4g vibrant" .... I'd respond that there isnt a 4g vibrant. Etc... it was such a pain, but I ended up getting an hd2 plus cash for the vibrant.
Btw, completely happy with the hd2. I wouldnt say its better or worse, both have their downsides, but im not regretting this phone. I still have my wife's vibrant, so I'm not missing out on anything.

G2 for sure. I went from vibrant to g2 and if your into the xda scene, its a night and day difference. 90% less brats on the g2 forums also and no dev's dropping left and right like I know they were a couple months ago when I was here.

I traded mines for an hd2+120 couldn't be happier, but I installed an ffc on my vibrant so I just said it was a 4g.
Where are you guys finding these trade offers, because I for one am getting tired of the vibrant and the community as well. :/

If you don't like craigslist, which I have never had a problem with, use eBay. I use eBay to sell old electronics and other crap all the time.
$250 is a bit much for it though. I think the best you could hope for is around $200. The furor over the 2.3.3 update may help boost your sale, but I doubt it.

Hey guys, my epic 4g broke recently (hardware issue) and Sprint has offered me 2 options. First, I can wait for the Epic to ship to the nearby store, which will take until Wednesday next week. Second, I can pick up an EVO 3D from them tomorrow morning.
I really like having a keyboard like on the 4g, and I really do like the OLED screen, but the EVO has a decent LCD screen with a nice resolution (960x540) and has a dual core processor. (3D too, I guess, but my guess is I'll only play around with the 3D features)
What would you guys do if you were in my situation?

Or, if you want amazing specs, take the epic and save your upgrade for the next nexus
Never had a 3d but had an evo 4g since launch. The lcd density is nice upgrade but the phone still weighs 170 grams while as ET4G IS only 130 grams and iphone 4s is 140g. And hardware on the ET4G is newer such as the exonos is blazing compared to qualcaom chipsets.

Never "starts" lol its just the timing, but id stick with epic(I wouldn't go for a nexus I prefer hardware keyboard). Or nexus if you'd like.

I didn't mention this, but getting the evo won't be using my upgrade
If the Evo is on hboot 1.5, then don't get it if you want root easily. Otherwise, I think it's a worthy upgrade.

A lot of them are unfortunately. One guy said he got a replacement and watched the Sprint rep upgrade it to 1.5 in the store. Ugh.

Get the EVO 3D, sell it, then you can buy another Epic 4G for about $150 and pocket the remainder for when your are upgrade eligible and use the money towards your next upgrade.
id take the epic again unless they let you pick a nexus. I went in after my 4th broken epic and they didnt so much as give me a chance to try and get a different handset, but im betting if they let you take an Evo 3d over an Epic they will let you take a nexus S.

No clue why anyone would buy the Epic touch, After what happened with this phone and its update/software issues, even if the epic touch is fast in hardware, i guarentee in 6 months when you are supposed to get your ICS update you will be regretting your purchase. Screw samsung. Only go with nexus.

Well no galaxy nexus because my father in law is adding me to his account and so he gave me his charge looking at the reviews pretty nice phone super amoler plus screen...and I am only pay 70 dollars for 800 min. Unlimited texts and 5 gigs of amazing internet no more poopy sprint data lol...

Wait what do you mean "only" lol he added you in a line and still have to pay 70??! I only play 40 for 1500 mins and unlim everything else. Sorry imo it was a bad choice id take less coverage over higher price and caps but best of luck

My friend has a Droid charge and he is on his third one cuz he has been having issues. But I heard Verizon is good a swapping out phones.

It's pretty much an epic without the keyboard. Slightly better and bigger screen. Hardware buttons too.

Buddy of mines got one through insurance in exchange for his Fascinate, but he didn't like the Charge so he found someone on Craigslist who wanted one in exchange for a Thunderbolt

the wife has one. it's no better than the Epic, imo. i'd fear that the capacitive buttons wouldn't hold up. It looks like they're in the same GB limbo. I don't know who started that rumor. Also, their biggest dev is a known kanger. I chased him off from the Galaxy Tab 10.1 forum when he was begging users to buy him a Tab so he would be so kind as to dev for us. Sorry, we have Task, pershoot and PhantomHacker who run circles around his copy and paste devving.

I see lots of things on androidcentral.com that make me browse elsewhere. The guy that made gymmicharge moved on. It's supported and fine, but no better than anything on our phone. Danalo1979 might be a reasonable dev but he truly kanged off of gummi and had to apologize to the whole forum to avoid or come back from ban. He also had to actually write a real rom and the original us still marked.
