how do i out it in diag mode we'd all like to know
bump
for sprint ROM i think there's ##DIAG# dialer code to do this
BUT... i'm much more interested in how to put Virgin Mobile Intercept in diagnostic mode. If the only way is flashing a Sprint ROM, which rom would NOT delete VM's 3G credentials?
Try this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=912574
Did anyone get this to work.
Try *#*#8778#*#* or ##8778#

Hello. I bought HTC HD2 that was locked to T-mobile. Then I installed android. Everything was perfect before i wanted to make calls from phone. I purchased the code and I dont know how to insert it in android system. So i decided to install Windows 6.5 and to insert code from there. Can some one help me pls?
THank you!!
If you mean you bought an unlock code, then just put a sim that is blocked into the phone then start the phone up, then it will ask you for the code

It asked before but now it doesnt. I dont know, maybe because of version of ROM or i pressed something wrong and now this windows does not pop up (
I had to install the stock tmobile windows mobile 6.5 to get the unlock box to appear. Any other room didn't let the box show, so I couldn't enter the unlock code. There is a thread here (in the general forum) that gives a download of it.

Try deleting data and cache in recovery and reinstalling ROM or test a different ROM

You can find other roms in the android development section of the thread for your specific phone.

I recently bought a epic 4g and I got a guy to flash it to cricket for me.
I have had this phone for a while now and I feel like I'm in need of downloading roms onto it.
Before I do so I'm sure someone has already gone through this so ijust want to be on the safe sie that after I get a custom rom eveything will work. Now I know I can root but I need to know more.
1. If I clockwork mod it and what not will my service till work?
2. After I custom rom it will I have to put my service again?
Someone please respond and explain to me what I can and can not do or wht to have caution with. Please make sure though.
Everything will work as long as the ROM you flash supports it. Just read the ROM's bug list to be sure what you need is working..
So flashing it will work no problem, if I want ics anything bad there?

There shouldn't be..the ROM doesn't interfere with the hardware that connects to your service provider that I am aware of..if it's for the Epic4G, it's for the Epic4G...lol just make a nandroid backup with CWM when you get it installed.
If your wanting ics.. cm9.. then there is an alternative carrier fix that needs to be applied for mms to work but yes it should work just fine on a new ROM.

Not necessarily, afaik AOSP roms like ics do not play nicely with data from other carriers. You might want to change the title of your post to "will cricket wireless work on ics"

Any roms that are nice that you guys know off that won't mess with my carrier?

I used the CM7 ROM from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1495754 to flash my brother's epic... for the most part it works, but he occasionally has some issues getting/sending MMS and (claims) he has to go into airplane mode to get internet to work once in a while.
I can confirm that MMS send/receive does work, it just doesn't seem to be 100% reliable. It could be the fact that he's dropped his phone numerous times, enough to crack the screen.
I'm thinking of just getting cm7, but I'm having issues rooting with odin. My computer doest wanna detect my phone.

here's what I did:
I have tried DFS and CDMA WorkShop with no success at all!!
It doesn't show up!
I follow these steps (after enable usb deb. from developer opts.):
1-Enable DM by ##3424#>chose last opt.
2-check com ports ,
3-I have my Spc/MSL code and the password from the xda (Sprint S4 2012112120131219)
both of these software couldn't read my phone or identify it!
I'd tried it with MK2 and now with NAE baseband.
Could you tell me what i missed, please?
Many Thanks,
Reinstall ur device driveres try a different usb port and on cdma worshop there is 3 box next to the box ull key the spc/msl in chk all but the middle box and under usb make sure all speed options are chosen
