Hey all,
It appears that ActiveSync Encryption is only on the Desire builds... unless someone can prove me wrong (please, please do! )
I'm not a fan of the Desire builds because they feel bloated and slow: I don't like HTC Sense.
Can someone recommend a non-sense (nonsense?) build that has ActiveSync Encryption and is either:
a. not Desire build
b. Desire build but very, very fast
Thank
You can try ginger sense by imilka still in beta tho but useable

Sorry if im blind or just stupid - or both - but is it true that there isn't any new MAND ROM from 2011 with HTC Sense?
And another question - what do you prefer: Gingerbred or Froyo with HTC Sense?
Mand? If you are talking about a nand build with sense i'm using this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=908528
And it's working better than wm 6.5 for me.
Thanks, ill try.
And its ofcourse NAND and not MAND ;-(
He's uploadin a new version right now. It's going to be even faster managing data files from sd.
Hi for all
I like to know about this 2 Rom.
What is diference in this roms?
What is better CLK or MAGLDR?
And what is sense? Some roms have sense and others no have.
This 2 Roms are the better of all.
Desire rom is a HTC rom with sense, typhoon is an android only rom, no sense. The desire rom is big,(because of sense) typhoon is small,, it fits in 130mb system partition.
You already know what sense is,,, it's the HTC front end, like on winmo? Sense, Manila, , the tabs and screens that HTC add.
Can't comment on magldr/clk, I've yet to get clk running.(tried yet again last night,,, still no joy,,lol)
I believe clk is more like using a real android device, but requires slightly more technical setting up at first.
I Use CLK and magldr, but I can't see the diference between.
BOYPPC-SHIFTPDA DESIRE HD V9 Fix & GINGER HoneyComB, have sense, but I cant see the real diference between.
can anyone help or tell me how to get and port it thank you in advance
Why not get an already built Froyo build? If you're asking the question, it'd be easier for you to get a SD/NAND Froyo build with or without Sense that was maintained by someone else.

Ive been waiting on a sense rom for a while now but to be honest i don't think there for everyday use at the moment... what id suggest ye do is what i done, get Typhoon rom (Located in my signature) and get the CM7 sense theme (also located in my signature) which has the same layout, keyboard, settings etc
you wont be disappointed in the performance of Typhoon as its really stable and fast if you do a fresh install, starting with task29.
also id follow up on the Save battery thread (located in sig) and follow threw them steps,
Gingerbread sense is buggy at the moment (Camera/GFX glitches) as we are waiting for the new Desire Gingerbread kernel to be release (I think).
What is it you want Android 2.3 for?, or is it simply because its latest version for phone and you like sense?
I revisited the HD2 recently because of so many tasty Android Roms available for it.
Only to find that the in call volume is deafingly Loud & no fix.
So my question, apart from is there a fix, why bother putting android on a handset that is unusable do to this issue.
I for one cannot hold the phone with 12" of my ear cause its so loud even with the volume as low as it will go.
Yes there is a fix, but I can't link it cos I've never needed to investigate it,, for me two clicks worth of voldown is fine. Go read the android section, there are loads of references to "in call volume"

Wow, that'd blow my ears out.
Can someone provode a link to the fix?
Bumping up this thread as not many people seem to want to post in it.
Thoughts please?
Which Android ROM are you using?
I never had this issue with any of the roms I used, currently using Hyperdroid CM7 and the in call volume is fine, able to turn it down and up without problems and it's not to loud if I don't turn it all the way up..

Assuming you use Clockworkmod, have you tried fixing permissions?
have you tried any roms without sense? (shouldn't matter really but testing doesn't hurt)
And have you tried reverting back to WinMo to see if it's a hardware fault?
Since you tested this many roms the problem might be in your radio (HSPL) or bootloader (Magdlr/Clk), try reinstalling them
hope this helps

Thanks for your help.
I retried & it was still very loud, if i turned volume to full & then to min during a call it did fix it, but the HD2 runs like a dog, so I'm gonna call it a day with HD2 & stick to a phone that can run it without all this messing around.
Time to retire the HD2 & stop fooling myself
hehe I hear that more from people with Sense roms.
Without sense the only real problem the hd2 has is the battery life.. personally that's not a big problem to me
