Is there anyway to have camera shots named using the yyyymmddhhmmss? And is there anyway to timestamp the photos using the date and time?

I have found posts regarding this but no answers to date , am hoping someone can help. I have got the camera to default to My Pictures , but it is still creating a new folder every day with My Pictures. Does anybody know how to prevent this, as the app I am using needs camera pictures to defualt to
\My Pictures.
I needed my sd card in computer and on at just that moment I needed to take o photo.
Camera had not given any error or warning about not saving the photo.
Then I can not find taken photo inside nand memory.
does anybody knows the fate of the photo?
Have you checked the gallery on Android?

I just noticed this, but I can't see some of my photos in the gallery app. There's no .nomedia file. Also, it's strange because it shows some of the images of a folder up after a certain date and the pictures before that date do not show (btw, they're from the camera folder). Any ideas?

I currently have this same problem, on a G900T.
I currently have the stock gallery and quickpic gallery installed on my phone. I noticed, in quickpic, that there is a folder called "alternate" in my camera folder on my sd card.
Looking at the photos in that folder it appears that these were photos that I took but they never made it to my camera folder or were deleted. They don't show up in the stock gallery.
Any ideas on why this folder exists and why they wouldn't make it to the camera folder?

I'm curious about that as well
HDR in Moto Camera
It seems if you enable HDR in the Moto Camera it creates a second version of the picture and stores it in "Alternate". It does not always create a second file, probably only it the two files differ significantly.
Jep
It does take an extra shot if auto HDR is enabled. The alternate photo is actually taken before you actually shoot. It's supposed to be a better picture.
Thanks
Anyway to disable this?

Hi I have a nexus 6p and I want to change the date the picture was taken on my phone so that I can better organize in my photo gallery. I changed the attributes on my PC however when I move it over to my phone it just goes to the present date instead of the date it was taken so I'm guessing it has to be changed on the device itself.
For Videos not photos
Anyone?
