Why is it taking so freaking long to sites like Gella skins to make a template for the Xoom? I want to protect my device and customize it at the same time. I don't care for the clear protectors that are availible, though they didn't waste any time making products available.
If anyone comes across a site that sells vinyl skins, let us know.

Skinomi has a couple non-clear options for the xoom. A silver 'carbon-fiber' colored backing and 2 wood themes. I am happier with ZAGG shields, but they only sell clear stuff. My skinomi skin wasn't cut perfectly for my captivate.. but it was acceptable enough that I didn't send it back.

I just applied my skinomi carbon fiber skin and screen protector. I love the texture and fit of the carbon and the screen protector has almost no imperfections and isn't even done curing yet. Overall great products.

SkinIt has Xoom in their devices list.
I can't post links, but go to skinit dot com and click on the "Devices" link and the Xoom is under their "eBook and Tablets" section.
They have a really cool "build your own skin" Flash app...but the custom skins come in at $35...a bit pricey for vinyl.
Thanks samtran. Got what I needed

how about Zagg, they have a section where you can complete customize you skin
just go to zagg dot com / personalize / designer / index dot php sorry I can't post links because I'm new,,,hope this helps
InvisibleDefenders decals and Decalgirl decals work for the Xoom, if you want vinyl coverings. I would caution you that when you send your Xoom ba[/URL]ck in for the LTE upgrade, they will have to remove the decal to access the back of the device.

Heya everyone,
First off all I would like to say it's great to be here on the XDA forums. I look forward to my time here.
As for this thread, I live in the Netherlands and screen protectors like the Spigel SGP aren't easy to come by if you don't want to pay for absurd shipping costs. So I was wondering if the official Samsung Screen Protectors impair S-Pen functionality. Since its Samsung and the note 8's strongest point is the S-Pen, I would think not. But seeing how I'll have to fork over 25 euros, I just want to be sure. The only alternative to me seems a Belkin screen protector.
I would be grateful if somebody could provide some insight or experience. Thanks!

Welcome to XDA.
I have not tried the Samsung ones but am using just some cheapo "dry apply" ones off Ebay and they do not interfere with the S-Pen. Would think the Samsung ones would be fine as well. Might not slide quite as well but that may actually be a good thing.
Sorry I can't be of more help.
Thank you CC (hope you don't mind me shortening it)!
I feel a lot more confident now. I use the same type of cheap protectors for my phone but for one reason or the other, I just want to invest a bit more in this tablet. It's my first one and I am incredibly happy with it. It's just very powerful and versatile. Once I get the Samsung Protectors I will let you know how they do.
Thanks again for the insights!

I have applied them and after a full day I can say there is no reduction in S-Pen functionality. I can't, however use my finger to write on S-Note anymore, but I actually can't remember if I was able to do it before. Anyway, besides that minor point, everything seems excellent.

Like CCallahan says, this thread is indeed not about cases but screen protector. But mistakes can be made ofcourse. As for your problem, I think the magnet might have temporarily tempered with the hardware controlling the screen. Try to stop using the case for a while to see if it works. If it doesn't, send it to Samsung for reparation. This should fall under the warranty if the case is indeed the problem. The case I use is the Belkin Cinema Stripe cover. It's pricey but amazing quality if you ask me. You can check it out here:

I've been trying to find some of the alternate colors for the Note 3.
I'm on T-Mobile and I noticed they only offer black & white.
After digging a little deeper it looks like none of the carriers have the colorful varieties.
Can anyone confirm this. Can I get the Note 3 in other colors?
As far as I know you are stuck with white and black for the initial offering with pink to perhaps follow. Pink phones don't sell well and require inventory space. Space is At a premium for most retail shops.
Maybe you'll get them when you lot learn how to spell colours!

Gold is Best. Best! Best! Best!
After watching the drop test video, I ended up pulling the trigger on a slim Spigen case. I'm hoping that at least maybe the impact to the case would help minimize shock to the phone a little bit. I know that getting a flip cover to protect the screen side would be more effective, but I don't think that I'd really want to flip the cover open each time I want to use my phone.

No thanks. We're more efficient over here. We're better about removing excess letters that aren't even pronounced in a word.
I'd consider using a pink Note 3 /rebelgade
Also, I personally wouldn't buy one of those aluminum back plates since the phone is designed with its factory plastic back plate in mind. My two cents, anyway.
Just wait a few months that's how Samsung roles.
Color options always come later on, but given its the a Galaxy Note device its not as common place as the Galaxy S line in color options. Still it might happen.
Just wait a little and before you know it just like the s4 we will have a lot of color options in the states

Supposedly it screws up the NFC feature, which I don't really care about at this point. Thought they look pretty slick personally. And for 7 bux shipped, no big loss if it's junk...

Do we know if the last Note 10.1 cases will fit the 2014 version? Or does anyone have good suggestions on ones specifically for the 2014 version?

She has clear protection plastic for the screen and yes it is permanent on that. It is a yellowish stain. Don't know if it will permanently stain the glass of the tablet if you don't have the protector but I don't trust it. Don't think it is a problem on a black tablet.

Well I needed something because the case I want won't be in stock until 10/30 and who knows there will probably be delays! So I just purchased this off of ebay for $15 with free shipping and it will be here Wednesday. Yes, it is just a sleeve but it will act as a stand in landscape which looks really sweet. So I may end up using this on and off even after I get my REAL case next month. Oh, yes $15 is a lot for a temporary case but not really when we're trying to protect our $600 Notes!

i don't think that will be necessary. they make shoes out of leather. reviewers are far from careful with review units and they were no doubt poking and prodding at them at the announcement. and if they do tear up, all you gotta do is give moto a call.

I'm willing to bet those scuffs were probably intentional by reviewers at the event just to see if it would.
Sent from my XT1053 using Tapatalk
Droid life review said the scuffs seem to make it look better as they accumulate. Not sure why he mentions the fact that leather doesn't like water, last I checked smartphones don't like water.
If you own leather things you know it is sensitive to scuff, but it will still last a long time. They let a company that is expert at it provide the material so they would know ahead of time how it'll be.
Overall it's a balanced review, definitely doesn't bash the device, he have a good command of viewership so it should help introduce the phone to a few more people.
Watching any review makes me so frustrated when I remember that Motorola brought MotoMaker to Mexico before Canada
Thats what she said!!
