Input Methods

Hi guys!
Wich would you guys think to be the best keyboard input for WM 5 / 6.
Ive tried a few, touchpal, pocket CM keyboard, etc......
I would like to have some different inputs, into what some of the users think!

i prefer the pocketcm with the iphone skin. works well for me

Hi I have a problem in using pocketcm..hope frens don't mind helping me
Why everytime I want to change to use pocket cm when writing it will force me to use the standard keyboard?? I mean even I am choosing pocketcm as my deffault input..it will be automatically set to default keyboard why is that?

look for a SIM cab file. This will allow pocket cm keyboard to become your standard.
I prefer the cootek touchpal myself.

i had the same problem. but yesterday i found the solution to make any keybord the default one. (-:

I find PocketCM keyboard. It is fully customizable/skinnable.

i like the pocketcm interface but it's a bit slow to type if compare with touchpal, however, i hope touchpal will hav skin to change, it took out lots of space in the screen.

[REQ] HD Keyboards for VGA..

Hey!
First of all iam really sorry if this has been asked before! But i searched around and didn't find anything about it ..
I have seen some roms with The Touch HD Keyboards cooked into them but only for once because they were to buggy. I would like these keyboards on my Touch Diamond, actually it is only the Phone Keypad iam looking for as the HD keypad provides a better way of changing between words..
Has this allready been made available as a cab or ?
Btw: Hope this was placed in the right section .. Just thinking that the guys here at the diamond forum is more into hd porting than they are at the development and hacking section ..

Still no one that can tell me anything about this?

itje released cabs found in the xperia x1 forum.
look there.
you will find them BUT will be for WVGA so it will be a little taller on your diamond.

I tried install that keyboard on my Diamond and it says Instalation incomplete becase bla bla bla system restriction ... I don`t know why ... This is only resolution :/
EDIT: Ok instaled it on Internal not Device. But why there is so mess ... Wvga is 800x480 vga is 640x480 width is the same :/ But there is so messy in width :/

Well... Dug up a little and found it!
Credits to Radix999 for broadcasting it and giving a detailed instruction.
And also please thank xboxmod as the .cab is taken from his "Bell UI Test Rom" thread
... oh yah.. This Keyboard ROCKS!!! Tried & Tested on Dutty's V2.8 ROM

works great,very nice keyboard.
works on swifts 7.5.

I've tried to install this keyboard on my Diamond with 1.93 Official ITA Rom, but when I use any app in landscape I see it cutted.
Why???
Edit: It's a WVGA Keyboard? Beacause I've not a Touch HD but a simple Diamond (that is VGA). Perhaps it is the problem.

it does fit in portrait, not in landscape.
it is usable in landscape but it is cut of.
b.t.w.
with every thing i do, my phone opens the smal keybord in stead off full qwerty.
even if i put it on full qwerty in the settings.

Works great in portrait. Noticed if I want to start a new email or text, the phone would pick up a name or give me an option of a person to choose from when adding a name to send to. now it doesn't. Could this be linked?

when i try to dl it i get a virus warning from norton....
any mirrors?

thats norton giving you a false positive.
its famous for doing that.

Does anyone know how to change the language? Its rather pointless having this keyboard if we can't change it to the language we want..

if you got the problem with hardware symbolpad, try this cab also

Any chance you could make a danish version also

and arabic?!

After installing the blackstone keyboard my "àü" key (the key between "Sym" and Space) stopped to function.
Is this regular?
I´m running WWE (UK) rom but are in desperate need of scandinavian characters since I live in Norway....
HLP anyone!?

auto-prediction works for me, but still messes with the áú-button. trying to find a solution for it, takes time...

i doubt your word prediction works when using with the physical keyboard. If you do, which T9IME.dll did you use? TouchHD or TouchPRo?

Yea I was talking about the physical keyboard. Too bad it ****s it up, because the full qwerty on-screen keyboard was bloody great :/

it did work!!! i used mine touch pro (raphael) search x1 posts, smaberg raphael cab swe. version, could be using other dll, since i still develop keyboards from x1 and scratch, now my x1 is at the reseller being replaced so cant confirm dll

PocketCM keyboard

the screen of diamond isnt so big as iphone ...

there is only one keyboard to use with a diamond and that's TouchPal. have tried most keyboards and still looking for a better one.This is the fastest and best by a long way once you get used to using it.

Yes, but the Diamond's resolution is twice !

clearly the bes keyobard, if you are klookinf for somethnig similar to the iphones is vga diamond 1 keyboard without arrows
head over to
everythingdiamond.info
and install the keyboard with no arrows...

Finger Keyboard VGA is the best IMO, especially if you need language specific characters like I do with Swedish. See link in my sig.

Touch Viva Keyboad

Hi all Dude
Can you recommend me to use HTC keyboard? Since I start using WM6.5.3 I really need a new keyboard. I used to install some keyboard but after that my PPC hanged. I don't know which keyboard can work fine on my HTC WM6.5.3 ..

Why? Problems with installation? Put in Regional settings - US.
From all free keyboards, FingerKeyboard the best and perfectly works with Evo2. IMHO.

Probably it is regional fail, becouse when i chenge reg settings in Latvian, Calculator stop working! Posibl U R right!

Sorry. I dont use standart diallers. (I love PhoneEx) But i know problem with all opal/mega diallers - scrollbar. I think, nobody have yet 100% worked .cab
And what about volume control, I can advise this app => SetVolume 0.8.0 <= with Transparent Diamond Skin it looks pretty nice =)

Actually a cab can be made of mega dialer with no scrollbar, but the real problem is its not compatible with the most of latest builds.

I installed the keyboard Spb Keyboard 4.1, it is running in my Touch Viva with Evolution 2, but I bought it in the Microsoft Official website, it is very good!!
