Is there any API or SDK available?
Many thanks
I have a program which I would dearly love to try out on my XDA Exec. It is a Java program however it requires the eclipse library. Can anyone advise me as to whether I can get hold of the eclipse library for my XDA Exec?
Many thanks in advance for any information.

Well you can use Googles Map application from the market.
Of course that requires you have a connection.
I think some of the major GPS companies sell Android programs, but they are expensive.
Something like "Mapdroyd" will use openstreetwikimaps to show you where you are when you are not connected to the net. But there is no navigation.
"Maverick" can cache maps from the net and then you can use them when you are offline. But no turn by turn navigation.
On your PC you can run the program Mobile atlas creator ( http://mobac.dnsalias.org/ ) to download all freemaps over your area - in this case greece - and generate offline maps that several android programs can use (like Maverick)
This can easily take many hours to do though - but I guess you don't have to update them that frequently
Check out Copilot or Destinator
Thank you very much..I ll try both
Motonav is the best!
