Where have you seen this? I know mdeejays builds have been removed here. Kindly point us to the video if you've seen one.

Its in settings, cant recall exactly where but there are check boxes for screen rotation. Check them all. Think 180 is the only one not selected by default.

Its in cyanogenmod settings - display, then check 180 rotation, and that will give u 360 rotation u are thinking of.

Yes, you're right, but how to make this on Android 2.3.2 with sense (by imilka)?
Maybe there is a special application need?

Not working screen rotation
Hi guys, Im new here, but I was reading the forum for a while.
On my HD2, screen rotation isnt working at all. I am using CM7, in cyanogenmod settings > display > acc rotation there is no difference if all degrees are ticked on, or just a 0 and 90, the screen rotation doesnt work. Also in ADW Launcher settings, system persistent is turned off, Home orientation is set to Auto/sensor.

Sense animations!!

Hi all!
A lot of you here might be running the Desire HD rom on your HD2s. From what i understand HTC has as default set the animations to "Some Animations" if you go into the settings. I think this explains why sense doesnt have those fancy zoom in and zoom out animations you see on the Nexus one and G2 (stock android).
Could i ask that someone go into the settings, enable "All Animations" and tell me if it enables those fancy animations? the setting can be found under Settings, Display, Animations. Well at least its there on the previous Sense version.
Thanks!
Nobody wants to try??
Mine was set to All Animations by default. Working fine.
I'm using the newest darkstone build.

[Q] Homescreen Rotation in GB

Is there anyone running a GB build with a homescreen that rotates to landscape? So far I have tried 2 builds and neither worked. It was suggested to TRY adw ex but since its a pay app, Id like to get some feedback that it worked before i buy it.
...................
YES I used the search feature before posting. Searched for "launcher" and "rotate".

So no one has a rotating home screen using Gingerbread? Im just asking for confirmation from someone.
I am using MDJ's CyanogenMod 7 v. 2.5 and mine works just fine.
I am using this as well, (MDJ's CyanogenMod 7 v. 2.5) and landscape works just fine, even with the non ex, free ADW.
I'm using NexusHD2 Gingerbread v2 and it works fine as well. I'm not using the stock launcher though - I use Launcher Pro (I use the paid version for extra features, but there is a free one).
If your using: ADW Launcher, Go to it's Settings / UI Settings / Screen Preferences / Home Orientation: Auto/sensor
That gets it to rotate into Landscape.
auto rotate home?
i got pure gingerbreak cwm 1.9 i think and i cant get it to rotate to landscape on the home screen or the launcher either ....i scoured the settings all i could find is auto rotate and it was already checked
or try imilkas rom it works perfectly.

Auto Rotation does not work on stock launcher. Use an alternative such as LauncherPro or ADW launcher to get the rotation feature.

[Q] Home screen text is half cut always.

Hello everyone,
Mine is a strange issue. I rooted my wildfire using downgrade method from this forum and flashed it to 2.1 with Hboot 1.01.001 and then installed CM7 stable build as suggested by the thread.
everything was good and then suddenly the icons and the text has been burried under so i need to touch it by judging what it is from the icon.
please help.!!.
Can you post a screen shot?

Could just need the simple icon size adjustments in adw?
" once its gone,its GONE."
Well I use go launcher and I have the option to turn off the names under them, so is it possible you've click on a similar setting in adw?

I checked everything on ADW,nothing works.how to take screenshot ?
Depends what cyanogenmod you have. If you have 7.1.0.1 then hold the down the power button and select screen shot. If not then you'll need a screen shot app

Ohh thank you so much. You guys are wonderful. I did something and now the icons are showing in full.
Is it possible to have live animated wallpapers as background on home screen ?
if yes, will that slow the entire phones operation.
The reason i'm asking is this
I tried overclocking and after reboot the phone was working ok,but i don't notice any faster than before.

Well when you overclocked did you select the "Set at boot" checkbox because else when you reboot the phone slows back to default speeds. Also, to enable live wallpapers long-touch a blank space in the home screen and touch "wallpapers">"live wallpapers" to select one. The default "nexus" one works fine with little lag for me on the overclock settings shown in my signature
Thank you so much Matt.
The overclocking is now working good, yes i didn't ticked the CPU set at boot. ON live wallpaper-- when i click live wallpaper all i see is google maps. and nothing else on the list.
I guess i have to get a seperate live wall paper.
Do i need to reboot my phone to make the CPU overclock settings to be implemented ?.
Thanks once again.

Loss of autorotation

Autorotation was working just fine until today. Now it's locked in portrait. I have it set to autorotate in my launcher (Nova Launcher) and the icon in the status bar is unlocked. And, I'm rooted.
Any suggestions?
UPDATE: Seems it's not a complete loss of autorotation. However, it does take about 15-25 seconds to autorotate. I'm certain it didn't take that long when I first got it.
I am still stock, unrooted.. running Nova and Apex launchers (betas), and recently I started thinking my auto rotation isn't responding as well. Not just on the home screens but overall. It just seems less sensitive. It seems like I have to be at a 90 degree angle for the rotate to happen and before it didn't seem that extreme. Before I thought it was taking a while to rotate (not as long as yours) but then realized I just had to tilt it more extreme than I thought. Not sure if I'm just crazy or if something is actually different...

Shortly before I read this, I discovered the same thing you did--that if I angled the N7 in towards me, autorotation was activated. WHY it came to be like this is a mystery. And, how to restore it to "normal" is even a greater riddle.

Try Ultimate Rotation Control in the app store...set it to auto and u should be good...its a free 7-day trial and after that its a paid app but at least u get to see if it works for what u need and later u can decide to buy or not

Home screen autorotate
Hello, my problem is the home screens won't rotate no matter what I do. The display is set to auto rotate and it works fine for everything else, just not the home screens. Am I missing something?
Thanks in advance.

Are you using the default, stock launcher? If so it doesn't support rotating even when auto rotate is enabled. You have to install another home replacement, such as Nova or Apex.
Thanks!

This is just what I was looking for - Thank you!!
BTW, it is curious that my Moto Xoom home screens rotate fine and it is running Android 4.1.1 as well.
Cheers!
The mystery has been solved. Turned out to be the LCD density set to other than default. I reset it to 213 and all is well.

That wasn't the case for me. I'm unrooted and have never changed my LCD density. However, I did just try downloading the compass app and did the "figure 8" calibration and that seemed to put things back to normal in terms of auto rotation responsiveness.
I'm just running in here. I noticed someone mention that the home screen does not auto rotate. This is a feature of the nexus 7. There is a fully free app called Rotation Locker that works great, even though the widget is broken. For the nexus 7, when you get it, launch the app and longpress on the option you want.
Also nearly all devices have to have their sensors recalibrated from time to time. So it should not be a big deal for anybody to download a compass app or the highly useful app Android System Information, and use the settings there to calibrate all of the various sensors. It also recommend this app widget to see battery, and storage information - even if the app is very much not customizable.
