I was on here last night browsing the forums for new roms to try and I stumbled on something called ultimate glacier ultimate Droid. I downloaded and flashed. By the time I was done flashing I came back on the forums to read more about the rom and issues. But the thread was gone. Does anyone have info on this rom? I think I read somewhere they're banned on xda but why would it be on here last night.

Their roms are not allowed to be posted on XDA. They have been know to contain warez, and are a complete kang of cyanogenmod without giving proper credit.

I've been having a problem with my Droid X for the past week where the dialer is draining the battery like crazy. The other day I unplugged my phone from the charger and 3 hours later it was down to 30% with very little use. I checked the battery manager and the dialer was right at the top using most of the battery. I tried to do a wipe but that hasnt helped at all. I am rooted using z4root. Is there anything I can do to fix this? I'm not sure on how to load up a new ROM, I'm new to the whole android modding area.
Check sysadmin-x guide to rooting and flashing a rom.... that will help

Thnx for the plu hullie =)
Here is the link to my guide if you are interested.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=940986
Has a bunch of general info for starting out. I am trying to do an overview of a bunch of the Rom's but have been busy with some testing lately. My recommendation if you are interested in a ROM is to take a nandroid backup. Then go to the droid X android development forum and check out the ROMs there. Read each description and the dev will have install instructions as well. =)
Good luck and post back if you have questions

When you look at the first post in the Nightlies thread or in the RC2 thread, you will see a link for the software pointing you to CyanogenMod.com's forum, thusly:
http://forum.cyanogenmod.com/topic/14459-nightlies-cm7-discussion-of-nightlies/
In the first post in =that= thread you will find three links. 1) A link to the Team Douche mirrors to download CM7, 2) a link to download Gapps, 3) a link to Twitter to follow the committed patches as CM7 development continues.
Click on that second link. I hope this helps.

All the links are usually in the first post of the thread where you found the rom. To be perfectly honest you just need to slow down and read the first post COMPLETELY before flashing.
99% of these questions can be avoided by rereading the thread or by doing a simple search. Good luck.
Has anyone been able to find the stock rooted post-OTA ROM for the myTouch 4G? I searched each thread and can't find it.

I found that but that one is not rooted from what I understand. It is the original ROM to revert to factory state. I basically need exactly that but a rooted and recovery flashable version.

Maybe I'm looking for the wrong thing but I can't see it. Do you have link? Make it is as I stated above, rooted and post-OTA flashable ROM.
EDIT: I see some in the dev section but I need specifically as is, untouched, nothing removed or added, just rooted is the only change.

Wow I can't believe I missed that. I guess I must have seen the "debloated" in the title and skipped it in the search.
Much thanks.

so i have updated to the **rooted version** of android 2.3.4 on mytouch4g with S=OFF
for some reason i am unable to reinstall google+
has anyone had this issue, or know a fix?
If you want help, you are going to have to be more specific.
1. What rom?
2. By what method? from the market? what error do you get, or what happens?
3. "reinstall"?
Maybe something wrong with your phone, I have Google+ on android 2.3.4 (meXdroid rom) & it works fine

While it may have worked on your phone, thid was not the case with my situation. It was not even in the market, I tried sendinh it thru text from google+ Website and was not able to because my device was not supported.
I posted this to see if anyone else had the same issue, not to be told that what I saw with my own eyes didnt happen.

no one said it didn't happen. it has been shown that it was user error, not some technical bug.
Please delete this posting, its pretty irrelevant. Thank you

Actually alot of people do not recommend using ROM manager to download and install ROMS. each ROM has what is a called a MD5SUM, and the developers post these MD5SUM publicly so we can verify the ROM was download entirely and without any mess ups.
