I bought a Samsung GT-I5800 without simlock. I flashed an Android 2.2 ROM, but now I want to go back to the original 2.1 to be able to update using Kies. What firmware do I have to download for this? I forgot to write down the original firmware version. Thanks in advance!
u cant downgrade via kies...! :-/
Look fr stock SG3 eclair rom at samfirmware..

I did, but none were accepted by Kies. I think it's because every CSC-version is different from the original one. I need I5800XENJH1, but I cannot find it anywhere. Does anyone know where to find it?
You need to find someone who has it and then ask for backup

You should flash your original firmware by using ODIN, not KIES. Go to samfirmware, and find firmware appropriate for your region and/or provider, and then flash it with ODIN.
How can i backup my original firmware? Is there an application for this? Thank you!

Hi all,
I was wondering if anyone has a i9000DTJF3 firmware that they could upload for warranty purposes?
I tried to restore my backup but the modem - PHONE: I9000DTJF3 did not reset its still on I9000DTJG3, so if someone can upload a modem i might be ok?
i have I9000DTJG4 but i don't think/know if this will be ok for any future return as its newer than stock??
Is it the Optus Firmware?
You can get it off the samfirmewares site

yes it is,
i did a restore of it via clockwork but it did not update the modem - phone: part also this was back when i didn't know crap so su and other stuff is there.
I could prob remove that stuff but i need to update the modem, or get a fresh odin file and be done with it
really i could not find it in the firmware section??
Nope can't find it there, if i used the latest optus one to send it back will they say anything? i mean its not for official use is it?
I tried to backup as much as i could, is there a file or something i could copy back?
I thought clockwork would have restored everything
I got this i9000DTJF3 Dump but odin just crashes when trying

Hi All,
I'm new GT-i5800 owner and have mangaged to flash my phone with ODIN
so its using I5800XXJPQ.tar.
And now Kies ver.2.0.2.11071_128, States that this is not upgradeable.
If there afix for this problem so Kies will upgrade my phone.
I have searched for some time on this site and on the web for a solution, and sadly I've not found a solution.
Can any tell me if the is a fix for this and what I need to do to correct this problem.
Many Thanks

Is the XXJPQ version you flashed a deodexed one? because if it is Samsung Kies will probably don't recognize the phone/firmware en therefore it can't find a new update.
Flashing with odin is much reliable than with Samsung kies so just search on this forum for the last firmware or a custom rom en flash it with odin
Yes flash with odin
Hi,
Thanks for the rapid replies.
I would still like to use Kies to update my phone.
Does this mean there isn't a fix?
If not what is the latest firmware I can update it with using Odin?
And where do I get it from?
Thanks

Than you have to search to the stock rom on samfirmare.com or this site and flash it with odin normaly your phone must be recognized by your pc (these stock roms have a bootloader so maybe this will work)
Maybe you could't try to re install the drivers from the g3 do re install samsung kies
maybe you have launcher pro installed. ive go to applications en uninstal launcher pro. then connect your phone to pc in samsung kies mode. then update your firmware.
Hi All,
Installed GT-I5800_NEE_I5800XXJPS_I5800NEEJP2_I5800XXJP4_I5800XXJPS and all seems back to normal now, as Kies now say that no updates are available.
Thanks
Hi everybody!
As you can see, I'm new to this forum. I apologize in advance if my english is bad, I'll try to explain my doubt.
My question is the following:
I have this tab from a week or so, already rooted, with CWM and Mobile Odin. The stock firmware is TGY, so it's of Hong Kong.
Is it possible to flash with Mobile Odin a european firmware on the device or this will cause problems to the tab?
I've searched for this in the forum already, maybe I have not used the right key words, but I haven't found the answer to this.
Thanks in advance!

Ok, so from what I've read, if I want to completely change the csc I have to flash the firmware with the csc I want and then enter recovery after a factory reset. It should automatically starts an update and it will ask me to confirm to change the csc into the one of the flashed firmware.
If I don't mind of Kies (which is my case ), I just flash the european firmware over the one I have now. I've read that you wanted to change your csc in ATO and at the beginning you simply flashed the austrian firmware over the TGY one and apart for the Kies autentication problem, you didn't have any other troubles.
Correct me if I am wrong, anyway I've thanked you for your reply. I ask you this because I know the basics for flashing and so, but I still consider me a newbie and I don't want to brick my beloved device with wrong country firmwares.

Perfect, that was I wanted to know. Luckily I have already experience with mobile odin since I use it on my Note, and I use only official firmware.
Thanks again for your kindness and for being so clear! ^^
Hi.
I'm trying to unroot my phone, (SM-910G) Optus AU.
I want to go back to totally stock, wanting to have a look at Samsung Wallet for NFC payments, which fails because it needs an unrooted rom.
However, cant actually figure out how to do this. Have looked on the web, but cant find an image to flash with ODIN, to revert to stock?
Any Help greatly appreciated..
Thanks.
Go to Sammobile and use the search function for your version. You'll have to register to download. You simply flush the latest firmware version for your country and provider using the latest version of Odin.

You need to register for an account in sammoblie.com and then you will be able to download the .zip file. Scroll down some more and you can find instructions on how to flash the firmware (if you don't already know).

The TM-320s are at the following. You need to filter by country. The standard U.S. firmware is under "Cellular South (XAR)":
http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/database/SM-T320/
Do note that Lollipop just started rolling out to the Tab S series. Hopefully that's a sign that the Tab Pro Lollipop isn't much farther off.
I'm not able to download any firmware from the SamMobile site. Can anyone provide me with a firmware? I don't care about the region or anything since I'll be flashing CM right after that (my device is soft-bricked, and I need to flash stock firmware with Odin). If someone can either mirror a firmware or share it with me, I'd greatly appreciate it
Would flashing this firmware remove the KNOX triggered flag.
I.e. if I flash it, can I return it to the shop and Samsung for repair?
EDIT: Yes, it removes KNOX
I have problems during the boot of the tablet
I've followed all the steps but when i've finally used odin, my tablet doesn't power on, it stays at samsung, st 320 or something like that and I can't go further. Also it only shows all that stuff when it is pluged in the pc.
I really don't know what to do, so could anybody help me please???

Knox flag will still be 1 once it's triggered it's forever...........don't let anyone tell you diffrent......some people say after they sent it in for service and a Samsung service center Knox was back to 0 but don't know if that was ever verified....
I would like to flash back to stock with newest firmware but keep custom recovery. Also what about using newest version of odin?
How would I use that?

I don't think that's possible unless you have a pre-rooted or custom rom that you are flashing thru Odin. If you flash the newest firmware it will wipe out your root and custom recovery and you start all over.
