My MWC woes.

I'm gonna be in jail clearing up a warrant starting today. Which means no pathetically slobbering over engadgets live blogs. And already the small leaks leading up to it are so good!
Maybe they'll have the internet in there after all, they are like hotels nowadays

elegant: I know I'm really gonna have to cut back on the terrible crime of turning left into the right hand lane
shroomz: that would be excellent. just to make it irritating for the mail guy, send one for each update.
metal: hopefully only a week... but could be a month or more depending on which way the judge goes hahaha.

Good luck to you man, I know how bad jail sucks. Best piece of advice I can give you- don't drop the soap

A. They probably don't have soap.
B. 80 of people in there are weekend warriors for possession of marijuana.
C. I pity the fool that tries to give me a log ride if I were to drop the soap.

Good luck m8.... you'll be fine. Just remember, the first thing you do is find the biggest Guy that's in your cell block/pod... what ever they call them now.
Hit him square on the chin... this can have 2 outcomes. Both a plus!!!
1. He drops like a bag of bricks, you'll get your own cell for a bit and no one will f with you.
2. He smiles, drops you like a bag of bricks, you'll get your own bed in the hospital wing and people will think your crazy and have some kind of death wish.
Win... Win... plus you'll have a great story to tell either way, right?

I know my way around a jail a bit. So no internet, listen to the tank boss, stick to your own kind white on white, black with black, etc... always brush your teeth before morning chow or you will get a beatdown. Lastly find out which toilets are for what. One will be for pissing, one for ****ting, and one for washing clothes. Don't mess that up. Good luck.

Why not show up with a bondsman and skip jail until the court date?
Pay it in full you get it all back if you show up to court.

Better do those taxes with turbotax. You'll get your refund in a week so you can pay those fines.
Take your Evo and disassemble it and smuggle it in your anus like some people do. You can also train a pigeon to drop it off in the yard.

While the Xoom camera is not able to allow you to see through solid objects (and I'm pretty sure the iPad can't either) it can turn into an x-wing fighter. Not sure how useful that feature is to you though.

Mine transformed into a stove top and started cooking bacon... surprisingly I got a speeding ticket as well.

James Durbin rocks. One of my sons has Tourettes so I was rooting for him because he is one who has overcome his fears and whenever I see him I think of my son.

Was REALLY hoping to see Steven Tyler and James Durbin perform together.... but oh well. Would have been an awesome pair... especially for that performance of Dream On.

I did find that quite nice. Bout damn time you don't see the iPhone plastered on every commercial, TV show, tech site, or ham sammich at your local gas station.
On another note.... Durbin and Tyler would have been awesome.... but eeh... Durbin and Judas Priest was sweet, too.
Weirdest part of the finale? Lil Wayne and TLC..... A) two COMPLETELY different ranges of music..... with only one actually being MUSIC... B) isn't TLC short one member?

To me it seems ridiculous that he was a bystander that just happened to be there and decided to catch it on tape. How is that illegal? Nothing he was doing was illegal at all. To top it off the cops pull guns on him? Sounds like Miami police has problems.

I find it impressive that he was able to get the micro-sd card out of the evo fast enough. That thing tends to be a pain to remove let alone when you are in a hurry.

One of the users in the comments read this in a article.
"He didn't have a weapon. He hit a police officer earlier that day with his car. The officer was not severly injured and was part of the five that took part in this shooting. They found him later that day, surrounded him, yelled at him to put his hands on his head, and proceeded to unload 90 bullets on him, four innocent bystanders were hit by the cops during this exchange."

Unfortunately anybody can be a cop nowadays...and that's what happens when you give power to week minds, it's abused.
No offense to cops, i'm sure there are good ones also it's just that the pre-requisites to becoming a cop should be harder and more particular imo. Then again, there is already a shortage of police. So what can you do.

That's pretty bad, cops pointing thief guns at the bystanders. I don't see anything wrong with recording their actions. Its should be encouraged.

Believe it or not but I never had any negative feelings towards ios until the announcement of ios 5. Pretty amazing how gullible people are and apple feeds on it perfectly...
I can see why cops wouldn't want this posted on the internet, since it could potentially show their faces and make them vulnerable, but imo that just comes with the territory. They have all that power and it's only right that ordinary citizens have some sort of check on them

I from Miami and the police there is more crooked than a broken finger.

I filmed a woman maybe 5'4 70 pounds wet being slammed to the ground multiple times here in Orlando by the police. There are more citizens than police yet we let them treat us like this.

There is no way he took the sd card out while the video was being shot, because you have to remove the battery. This would turn the phone off, which means he can't be recording like he is till the end..

**Hurricane Irene*. Off-topic

I know this isn't Aria related but I was curious if anyone here in our little Aria community is in it's path? I live less than a half mile from the ocean at the Jersey Shore and it looks like we'll be getting a major hit from this thing. Time to break out the hurricane tote and make sure we are good to go.
Have to admit, this is the first storm in a long time that actually had me pretty nervous. Anyway, if you are going to feel this storm, please take the proper precautions and stay safe. It looks to be a real nasty one.

Nah, too many people to evacuate for something that's probably not going to cause a whole lot of real damage besides some flooding. Plus the state can't afford to let AC get shut down for a weekend.

Here in NYC, work in IT and my server room is in the basement, another sleepless weekend. Need a differ profession.

I wish you were right and so do millions of others. Unfortunately, she isn't backing down. We just got the mandatory evacauation orders so it looks like we'll be leaving tomorrow once the windows are boarded up and the propert is secured.
Sorry to vent here but this is extremely stressful and I'm really scared about the outcome

I'm on Long Island, and I'm nowhere near worried yet. This thing iis still 1000 miles south and extremely slow moving. So much can happen its insane. Take precautions, but people are going nuts about something that isn't even close yet

Also, by the time it gets up near us, its looking like its going to be down to a level 1 or 2. Again, if it even gets here. Watchthe reputable hurricane tracking sites online, not the stupid TV news.
