I don't have any options to install apps. Apps will be installed automatically after download. Please help.
I think the app has to support it and then you go to manage apps and pick the app and press move to SD card
check app2sd on market
I think there is a setting in Spare part that will allowed that to be fixed, also, a apps manager (can't remember which 1, will help as it seems to have a default setting for all apps downloaded to be installed to SD...
sorry, cannot be of much help as I am in the office now and that my NAND built had died on me.
Regards
I use App2Sd (can manually move certain apps to sd) together with SpareParts (where I set default to install apps to external memory), but you can also try Move2SD Enabler from the Market.
lots of thanks guys
Also titanium backup pro version can forcibly move apps to SD, though this can have some undesired results, it can help save a few extra MB, and the app can always be moved back to phone if a problem arises...

Uninstall Spare parts, Download and Install spare parts-update1
Move2SD Enabler works perfect, you can move "ALL" your Apps to SD. After installed Move2SD Enabler, must activate it, then you can use Apps2SD to move the Apps.
As the title says, is there any way to installing & run application on sdcard from android market?
You can use APP2SD - https://market.android.com/details?id=com.a0soft.gphone.app2sd&hl=en
I have a HTC HD 2 running Android 4.1.2 (Jellybean). I used this guide to set the 'micro sd' slot as the place for storing apps. After doing this, I was able to move all my existing apps to the SD card which was not possible before. I would like to mention that the internal phone memory is 25 MB on my HD 2.
Now, whenever I go to Google Play to download a new app, the downloads with sizes above 25 MB are not completing successfully. Also, there are some downloads which compete as they are under 15 MB but I get the 'insufficient storage available' error when trying to install them (e.g. TuneIn app). Thus I am unable to get new apps as the phone memory remaining is around 20 MB.
Can anyone help me out? How to select the storage card as the default place for installation a new app from the Google Play store? I have already checked via 'adb shell pm get-install-location' that my default drive is '2'.
Thanks
It's easy to download apps and games from the Windows Phone Store and install them on your phone, but you can also transfer, or sideload, them from an SD card to your phone (if your phone supports an SD card).
To sideload an app or game, you'll need to have an SD card that contains one or more Windows Phone app files, also known as .XAP files. You can download .XAP files to your PC, then move the files to the phone's SD card.
To download .XAP files from the Windows Phone Store on the web
1. Open a web browser and go to Secured URL.
2. Click Apps + Games, then click the app you want to download.
3. Scroll down on the web page, then click Download and install manually (below the app requirements and supported languages).
4. When prompted, save the .XAP file to a location on your computer, SD card or storage device.
Note:
If you download the .XAP file to a location other than an SD card supported by your phone, you'll need to move or copy the file to an SD card to install it on your phone.
For information about moving or copying files using Windows Explorer (called File Explorer in some versions of Windows), go to the Windows website and search in the How-to section.
To install apps and games from your phone's SD card
1. Insert an SD card that contains one or more .XAP files into your phone.
2. On Start , tap Store , then tap SD card.
Note:
If you've just inserted the SD card or added the .XAP files, you might need to wait a few minutes before you can access your SD card from the Store.
3. Select the apps you want, then tap Install.
Notes:
- Apps that can be installed are listed under Compatible apps.
- You'll need to have the latest version of the .XAP file from the Store on your SD card before you can install it. If you don't have the latest version, it'll be listed under Incompatible apps.
4. Installed apps appear in the App list and games appear in the Games Hub. Depending on the specific app or game, you'll be able to use them as follows:
- Free apps and games can be used immediately.
- Paid apps and games that have a trial will be available as a trial version that you can purchase later.
- Paid apps and games without a trial must be purchased before you can use them.
Wow. Useful Tutorial. Gonna try out this.. Thanks a lot..
Hello,
I was searching for a way to put large games like (asphalt 8, nova3, and any other games) on sd card on my rooted samsung galaxy s4 because the internal storage is very low and about to be full.
First i tried to use the file manager i have sent the odd file and the apk(which in the data folder) but the game didn't work, it was searching for required files and asked to download them.
Then i tried many apps which need root acces on my device to send the games on sd card but i got the same problem...
Is there are any way to send the game on sd card and make it work there?
Thanks.
try app2sd...it is on play store ?
I have already tried it but it send the apk file only i want app or any way to send the apk and the odd to the sd card and make it work there.
This depends on what rom you're using.
You could try Folder Mount
Actually all these apps aren't useful i can already use any file manager to send the game files to the sd card but the problem is when i add the game to sd card when i open the game it dont find the game's files.
And about which rom am i using i didn't get it and how to know my rom?
I use the xposed module Obb2SD, so all my games are moved to SD card then the Obb files are also moved onto the SD card.
I am using a custom Rom.

Click to collapse
If you are using the stock samsung rom then you just have to go to Manage apps and find the game you want to move and the press "Move to sd card".
Moving the apps manually will not work.
Folder Mount will move the app data to the sd card and trick the system into thinking it's on the internal storage.
I have just used folder mount by sending the game files (the folder in the data and its folder in the odd) but the game won't find their files
Did you get the phone new? Did you flash any custom rom on it or is it the stock samsung firmware that comes with the phone?
The only thing i have done with my phoned is rooting it with a custom recovery, there is no any custom roms im just using just the stock rom.
Then the rom should have the option to move apps to sd.
I know that my stock 4.4.2 samsung firmware had that option.
Go to settings > apps > downloaded, and tap any app you want to move. There should be an option "move to sd card" or something like that.
