Ok so I have searched a lot and haven't found a definitive or comfortable answer for this problem. I have an T-Mobile HD2 and Flashed DFT Rom (NAND not SD). The problem is that when a call is made or recieved there is no audio at all. Cannot hear the other person nor can they hear me at all. I saw something about CLRCAD.exe but I believe that applies to SD Boot versions. Anyway if anyone can help that would be great. Thank You
Ok so I had rebooted the phone a couple times and it still wasn't working so I made this post. I tried rebooting it again and all of a sudden I'm getting audio and the person I called said it was nice and clear. However, I did notice a robotic sounding echo when I would speak. Is there a known fix for that?
have you tried other roms and checked if they had the same problem?
I have not...Any good ideas for a pretty flawless Sense Rom?
They should all be pretty flawless. Otherwise people wouldn't use them.

Are you using the latest radio 2.15.50?? Also, some build require you make a first call which will sound robotic then you hang up and redial again to reset the phone and eliminate the robotic sound. You will need to check the ROM thread. Since you are in the US, I use Cmylxgo's Stock Desire HD2 build. Works great. Fast, smooth, very battery friendly and just about everything works.

2. Flash Radio----battery pull when complete----enter bootloader
3. Flash Magldr 1.13
4. Flash rom

I'm new to this forum and searched around before I posted this but couldn't find any answers. I just installed Android on my HD2 and everything seems to work fine except for the fact that I can't hear what people are saying to me on inbound or outbound calls. However they can hear me fine. The audio is super garbled. Also the phone seems to be running in turbo mode. All the audio is faster and at a higher pitch. It doesn't matter if I'm testing out a ring tone or if I'm using the music player. I've tried several different ROMs but all have had the same result. I've also reformatted the memory card and started from scratch with each different rom that I've tried. Has anyone else experienced this? Please help!
Thanks

What base windows mobile rom you use?
I had that problem with energy barebone rom.
Now i am on Miri v17 windows mobile rom, problem solved.
I suggest you upgrade to radio 2.12.50. This has been posted many times as a solution to your problem.
There is a thread stickied as the complete guide to android on your HD2. I suggest you locate it and read it.
Good luck.

Head on over to the Rom development page for the HD2. It's listed in the "ultimate radio thread". NRGZ28 also lists a link in all of his roms to this radio. I am using one of his WinMo roms along with that radio in my Android setup and it works great.
Has anyone found a WM rom that works with active sync?

?? ermm, they all do
Huh... That's weird, for some reason I can't get it to sync anything... I remember my first time.... haha oh wait...
Thanks for everyone's help. Just in case anyone comes across this and had the same problems as me:
1. Flash w new WM rom. (Energy is sick)
2. Get a new radio
3. Active sync doesn't work with office 2010 64 bit (you have to install the 32 bit version)

Ok... I'm a noob. I downloaded HSPL3 and did all that, downloaded the darkstone Froyo build, extracted to the root of the SD card, booted, Android runs, but the phone calls do not. When i call my voice mail it sounds like a robot. I'm running the stock rom. What can i do to fix this?

Get a new rom or radio...or maybe both...but those are the two main issues

I cannot (and do not want) to change the stock ROM or radio.
Is there any android build I can install that will have a working PHONE?
Otherwise, all these builds are just a toy and not a phone.

The stock radio and Rom do not have the required features/bug fixes needed to run android. Any Android Build.
The issue is not with the Android builds, located here.
In laymens terms, you can not have a Honda run like a Corvette without changing the engine. The issue is with crappy programming on Microsoft's/HTC's part. New features needed to be added. Bugs needed to be fixed. The new Roms and radios are this communities solution to that.
Stating that something is a toy because you do not want to make the required changes makes me confused why you are even attempting an xda hack?
Hacks have certain requirements, just like for the iphone or any other device. We are making them do things, the manufactures did not want them to do.
No. You need a cooked rom.
Robo voice
After a day or two of using android the robot voice/sound comes back out of no where. I then have to restart the phone and boot into android for it to go back to normal. does any one else experience this?

Its hard to try and help an idiot. There's so many of them on this forum.
If I change the Radio on my stock HTC HD2. Will that change all the HTC Sense on the WM6.5 side? I would like to keep all my settings and look on the WM6.5 side. BTW, how do you replace the radio? thanks for all the help

you find a radio-rom then flash it as you would normally flash an OS.
Hey folks!
Just want to say thanks to everyone who put up some of the great FAQs and guides on here.
I'm successfully running Android on my HTC HD2 (TMOUS) w/ 1024Flash.
However, I am in need of some guidance.
I'm using the HD2Froyo_v2.1 build.
I have also successfully installed HardSPL.
I made a test call, and the person on the other end sounded like a tiny robot.
I read about this in the forum guides, but I'm not sure what exactly I should do.
Can anyone offer some advice/guidance?
I believe I need to install a custom Radio, but I'm not sure which one.
Also, are there any other issues I should expect or anticipate?
Will I be okay to continue using the Android OS from now on if I like it?
Thanks!!
Try changing your WM. For my I'm using

I am running the same combi and i am really happy!
I have tried like so many combinations....BTW, do you know how to show
the correct battery level on the vbn reloaded winmo rom ? Due to its low
current draw, i would like to run it as main OS

Okay, so if I install that first one you gave me, I shouldn't have any call issues?
The build of Android I'm using seems to be running great, except for calls.
So here are my questions:
I need to install this VBNROM, correct?
Does this affect the Radio? My Android was running fine, but wasn't processing calls.
Will this VBNROM take care of this issue?
Also, how do I get back to Android after a reboot.
I'm currently back in Windows Mobile, but don't know how to get back to my Android install.
Thanks for the help, guys!

I'll try that first.
Any recommendations?
Try changing your radio. Search this as I am not allowed to post threads:
HTC HD2 Radio ROM Thread
Im pretty sure that you shouldn't flash to a .51 radio (grab the .50 ones) as they brick your TMOUS HD2.
If that doesn't fix the issue then you have to change your WM rom. Try Chucky's rom I found that got rid of the robot voice for me.
Post up if you have any questions.

Thanks.
If you can email me the link, my email is kms311 AT hotmail DOT com
I want to make sure I have the right thread.
try the 2.12.50.02_2, I am using that and it works perfect.
Also try putting music on your phone if you notice that it is playing faster than normal then change your WM rom.
Also, can someone tell me how to get back into Android?
I'm back in WinMobile, and I ran haret again. But now it just reboots to WinMobile each time.
Once android is loaded you won't have to do anything except get some cool new apps like angry birds (which is free and AWESOME). Also to boot up android, open the CRLCAD.exe then Haret.exe then it should boot. Not sure if i spelt it correctly but i hope you understand what i meant.
As I said before changing you WM rom may also help the robot voice. I would recommend Chucky's rom as it has a bootloader, so when WM loads there will be a black and white robot you press and it will boot up Android, better then opening both exe files.
To flash a radio go to the forum i sent you, then go to the installing section
to install as said you need HardSPL, and then download the radio rar file, and also download the CustomRUU file. After they have finished downloading Rename and extract the radio rar file make sure the name says: RUU_Signed.nbh and then open up the CustomRUU.exe and it should load it on to your HD2.
Here is what they wrote:
Installing:
For installing a RADIO ROM you need HardSPL installed to your device.
Rename the extracted file to "RUU_Signed.nbh" and flash with the CustomRUU: it won't hardreset your device.
Okay. I think I follow.
So I'll load a Custom ROM, like Chucky's, using CustomRUU and renaming the file.
Then I'll load the 2.12.50.02.2 Radio, and I should be set.
Have I got that right?
Try flashing a radio first and see if it works. If you still have robo-voice which i doubt then you can load Chucky's Rom.

i would take the suggestion from the first reply by blacksxe, which is the VBNRom.. and install the radio recommendation version that was posted at the VBNRom page as well (2.15)... also, expect that you will boot to winmo each and everytime that you restart your phone.. as of now, there is no nand support that's available for users.. only the devs has it and it's still under development.. so just use the EBL program that's included on the VBNRom and set it to autoboot (6 seconds or even 10).. that way you won't have to run haret manually each and everytime you restart..
my HD2 losing sound randomly.. its not play any sound in speaker until reset, then works normally and after some time problem comes again. can sombody help me to make it working normally. sorry for bad english and thanks

funny. i just rested mine because of this problem. what build you using? im on [Frankenstein Incredible S] build
this happens to me too. i'm running gbx
i'm running mdj gingerbread rom.. it was stable until now and i dont now what to do. can i stay on this build or i must to reflash
a reboot should fix it. well on mine it does it hasnt done it yet. but im about to switch to a diffrent build so ills ee how it goes with that one.
ok, i have a weird problem and a few questions.
when making calls, some calls are clear and some are garbled. everytime i speak to my dad it's crazy garbled. he and my sis are using hd2 with windows 7.8 roms i installed on them, their calls to each other are clear. but my dad and i's are garbled. i'm using hyperdroid gbx rom from pongster which is awesome. i love it. but i gotta get this sorted.
is the garbled communication due to the hspl i have installed or is it the rom? and can i change my hspl without having to reinstall the rom? and if it is the rom.. what am i doing wrong? because it's the most popular rom out there that i have seen so it must be ok for so many people to give it so much praise.
also, dif question. this entire forum is for cell phones but reply notifications to threads have no option to 'send txt to phone' .. y ? that seems like an obviouis option to have here.

hmmm... I think you should back it all up and try a different rom. Because I had call issues with the GB rom by Dorimanx, and thats a VERY popular rom too. Try Typhoon's rom. Its the on i am using now. Using it for 4 months with NO ISSUES. Give it a go
And i never asked, What rom are you using? I use gingerbread because i think its the BEST for everyday use
