Not sure if any of you have seen this, or if it is on here in the development section.... but that is a pretty insane increase! 16+mflops/s! Stock is about 6mflops/s...

JIT makes my phone run 3 times faster but its not stable. Thats why Cyanogen does not include this by default. I cant wait till then have JIT bug free.

So that is just JIT? I hate being behind on what all is going on... trying to catch up, but they keep coming out with new stuff faster than I can learn about the old stuff...

Where do you get Linpac from?
I'd like to benchmark mine but I've searched the market for 'Linpac' and no joy

That is one thing that dumbfounds me about Android... the search of the market is HORRIBLE! You would think google could come up with a good way to search the market...

This is very true, I am still running stock and am in amazement! I will, in due time, root and get something custom on there of course, but for now I am enjoying the beauty of a stock N1 for all it is worth!

thats why i am still not rooted. after almost 2 weeks long fedex delivery **** ups, i am supposed to get my replacement this Monday or Tuesday

I think this is an issue for quite a few of us.
It seems that sometimes the screen registers a completely different place to where your finger touches.
I would say it's bad but I was touching the screen on my Nexus and selecting apps on my wifes G1

full Froyo or press release.

I've been noticing a lot of the apps on the market stating that we all have press release versions of Froyo. Is this true?

Can you give some examples?

We've done some additional investigation, and as far as we can tell, Google is only updating review Nexus Ones that had been provided to the press -- not off-the-shelf phones. We'll stay on this and let you know more as soon as we do.

Really? I thought everyone interested enough in tinkering with gadgets (aka nerds, JK ) knew Freeman, the famous silent protagonist armed with the mighty crowbar. Or maybe I'm just getting old and ppl don't play PC games anymore.
Anyway, hopefully a new rom will come. I still have problems mounting the SD card which sometimes causes crashes. And also missing market links.

yea i think 70 percent or more of this forum should know freeman from half life gosh i remember the pc crowbar days ... was i the only one who played demos like they was the full game if they didn't have the money at the moment lol

It looks interesting but I think Sense is better and to be honest I get tired of Sense after awhile too. I think they should try to put it on the market because all of the major android vendors already have their own UI.

That's what I was getting too

They messed up big time by selling to vendors. If this was a Marketplace mod for android they could stand to make hundreds of thousands maybe millions of dollars from it. Too bad i dont think we will ever see this on a actual mobile by a vendor.

There is a whole lot more of it on www.google.com/images "insert search string here" especially after you turn safe search off. Not to mention pornotube or whatever the hell all the you tube equivalents are. I'd say the least of the worries is the mostly soft stuff in the market.

Its funny cause before I got my EVO I never used Android just winmo. I heard about porn on Android but I don't really see it at all..
I know funny I guess I'm searching wrong or something. Even using the browser most web sites are designed for full browser..I dunno maybe I just need to research better.

Maybe they should set up age ratings then put some parental controls on there. Just have it be user or developer rated, so it's still "open"
That might keep the kiddies safe and might give developers more encouragement to make mature violent porn filled games for me(I would love Duke Nukem for android!).

Ya, but it doesn't need to made easy for them. You really think it is responsible to make it easy. Android needs to have an adult section. Besides the fact developers are spamming the crap out of the market with the all the porn crap. Everytime I look and see what's new, 50% of it is new porn. What other features?

Their whole point to introduce this device as a security featured phone that can be adopted in the corporate world. Hardware encryption, the use of Webex for secure meetings, Kies security for remote management.

Well face unlock is a really bad feature since it usually works with pictures too... If they fixed that, it is a great feature.
