Okay so what did you do now? How exactly did you try to install XP. What version of XP did you use, and what error does it give you exactly.

what shall i do?
Alright so let me be sure that I have this right. You have tried to install XP from a 2GB USB drive, and it starts to install, then says that it cannot copy a file to the hard drive. Have you formatted your Shifts HDD using the Windows installer, and made sure to format it as NTFS? Also, are you using a legit copy of XP? Sometimes ones that you download from the net have things removed to make them have a smaller footprint once installed, but they also don't install correctly via USB. If you have a real retail XP copy, or have downloaded a copy of plain XP, I would redo your USB stick as it sounds like not all of the files where copied correctly to it. Let me know what happens.
first thanks so much for share and rely
second i formated it to ntsf after make 10g for c and the rest for d
second i downloaded the 2 copies from internet the tablet and the sp3
thanks so much again
i can not study and that bother me a lot cause i use my shift in my study thanks guys
Thats what I thought. You need to format both your USB drive and your Shift's HDD to NTFS. You should be asked what you want to format the HDD as when installing XP onto your Shift from the USB drive. I would also reccomend getting a clean version of XP Service Pack 2 as it seems to be about the most stable version to install from a USB drive. Download/get XP STOCK SP2, no modifications just the stock image, format your USB drive and Shift HDD as NTFS, and try again. Let me know.
thanks man so much i will do your advice and tell you
but i can not get real guide to format my usb to ntsf from windows thanks
Heres a sure fire way to format it as NTFS:
1-Open a command prompt.
2-Enter DISKPART
3-Enter LIST DISK
4-SELECT DISK (X)
CLEAN
CREATE PARTITION PRIMARY
SELECT PARTITION 1
ACTIVE
FORMAT FS=NTFS
Replace the (X) with the name of your thumbdrive under My Computer.
Wait for it to finish, then close that window and voila! Your USB drive is formatted as NTFS and ready for use.
sorry
i did it only show my 0 disk of my desktop hard eisk but never show me the usb
Can you format it through My Computer?
thanks man so much i already change my usb stick to 4g ntsf one and it work now great
i am now install the xp sp2 retail
when i finish what shal i do for make other stuff worki like wifi 3g fingerprint and touch screen???/
i did it.........................thanks guys
how to enable 3g and wirless now
and change display??
Just install the drivers from the HTC website and it should work.
thanks man i already done but problem with
intel graphic for xp
wireless
3g
control center
Download the graphics drivers from Intel. You MUST install the Control Center and ECD drivers before the WiFi drivers. After you install the Control Center, go into it and turn on WiFi, Windows will then (hopefully) find a driver and install it. And for 3G I don't know as I don't use my SIM slot on my Shift, I tether my HD2 via WiFi for mobile internet.
thanks so much man you are so good kind person for that great help and care
everything is working now well but the vga and 3g....any way thanks so much
When I got my tab a couple months ago I tried to install the sync app.
It did not go well and I ended up restoring my PC.
I have a new PC with Windows 7, are there any programs that will sync with the tab, my droid phone, and my external hard drive ?
I currently use one of the File Managers to copy and paste files. For smaller files I use the network and for lager files, USB.
Ideally, I plug in the tab or my phone and they sync automatically.
I am running WIndows XP SP3 x86 with Window media player installed, When I connect the N7 I get two options MTP and PTP, I cannot transfer rar files or any other files as when in MTP it says "file type not supported" in PTP I can't even see folders.
In MTP I get a media icon in my computer, PTP yields a camera icon.
I'm just trying to transfer my rar of wallpapers over and its being a pain in the butt.
File xfer PC <-> N7
I had the same problem. After a lot of head scratching, I found out that window XP SP3 does not support MTP out of the box.
You may be able to get MTP support in Window Media Player version 10 or higher. However, I have access to a PC running
window vista which supports MTP natively. If you can find a Vista machine that will be the easier way to xfer file to/from PC.
There could be some utilities that support MTP in Window XP-XP3 that will allow file xfer but I have not investigated further.
Good luck

Yeah. Those built in mount types can be a major pain. I suggest just downloading airdroid and using it. Works terrifically and for free.

Easly way to move your game saves from Windows Phone 7 into Windows Phone 8 devices. Only for sideloaded games!
What you need is:
- Windows 8 64bit installed on your computer
- SDK 8.0
- WPPT (attached)
- Zune (if getting files from Windows Phone 7 device)
How to do it:
- connect WP7 devices and fire up Zune
- after synchro, open WPPT
- make connection
- switch into Isolated Storage and choose game to export files on computer
- mark an game and press GET, save folder on Desktop etc.
- disconnect WP7 device and insert USB cable into WP8 device which is allready dev unlocked (Zune could be close)
- make connection
- switch into Isolated Storage
- flag Overwrite Existing
- mark an game and click PUT FILE
- find a game folder on your comoputer and choose __ApplicationSettings
- DONE
Thanks, very useful.
One question: is it possible to do the same from WP8 to WP7.5/7.8?
Thanks!
Do you know if it's possible to move WhatsApp Data from WP7 to WP8 Device?

This isn't working for me at all. I see nothing with the powertools utility.
I tried the ISETool that comes with Visual Studio, but I get access denied.
Hello,
since i install CM11-M4 (before i have original Rom from LG installed) the USB to my Win7 PC lost while i copy .mp3 files onto the LG-G2 after 5-10 files. After disconnect and reconnect the USB connection i can copy again 5 to 10 files and then the connection lost / freeze again. Windows "says" it is not able to copy the file and abort.
The Problem also happens as .jpg files. But what i observe is, that the connection is only lost, if i transfered files are bigger then ~4MB. If i use ~2MB files the problem not occure
In USB setting of the LG the "MTB" is enabled,
Is this a know problem and is therfore a solution ?
Thx for help !
Best regards

Hi,
I make on more observation.
If i copy the files one by one, then i can copy infinite files. So thats hard, if you want to copy a few albums to the phone . But if i try to copy more then 10 files in one procedure, then the USB connection hangs.
The same probleme occures on a second PC with Windows 8.
regards
Roadrunner
I have the same issue here, I don't know how to fix it, I'm running last cm11, from 0324
win7 or win8.1, same issue
Try putting all your music in one folder and copying them like that. If that doesnt work then upgrade your drivers
