[Q] battery life - Vega General

Hi Guys,
I was wondering what the battery life on the Vega is. Especially when playing Video. Can you please share your experience?
Is there a difference with battery life between stock ROM and the MoDoCo one?
I am thinking about buying a tablet and considering Vega.
Thanks,
Mikey

I get around 7.5 hours of DivX (SD) playback with 35% brightness and wifi and push email on. I don't actually know if this is normal. Can anyone post on this since i have a lot of issues with power drain when the vega is in standby and i want to know whether it is a hard- or software problem. If the 7.5 hours is normal, it most likely isn't a faulty battery.

I've never measured my battery life, but 7.5 hours sounds about right. (so it's definitely not a faulty battery)

Ye theres something over modaco to reduce battery drain while in standby. It has worked for me and all you have to do is to delete phone.apk and telephonyprovider.apk i used root explorer.

Yeah, I've tested my Vega battery a few times and 7.5hrs video playback jives well with my experience, it is if anything slightly better than the manuf claimed performance!

Is this on the modaco ROM or on the stock ROM?

1.09 with Modaco R8

[Q] Battery Life with CM7 Barebones

Hello,
I have received my Kindle 4 days ago. Rooted, backup-ed in the next hour and I installed CM7 Barebones edition, a very nice ROM.
After 2 days of intensive use, I found that the battery life in use is very reasonable, but in sleep mode without wifi, no sync and only the core services of android, i notice a 2% battery loss by hour. In the "battery use" menu in parameters, the process "when phone is idle" take me about 10% of battery. I intend to test with or without airplane mode and the battery consumption is about the same.
So my question for the other users of this rom : are you experiencing the same levels of battery consumption in sleep mode ?
Thank you by advance ...

Honestly haven't tired the Bare Bones ROM but I have the WhistleStop CM7 ROM and the Skimp Killah Super Kang CM7 ROM and both are great. I know Whistlestops version gets great battery life with almost no drain in sleep mode. I can sleep all night and only lose 1% with it. Just trying out the SKSK. I'll let you know.
I personally have not extensively tested the battery life of the rom I built (CM7 barebones). I do know the battery for me has no problem lasting a full day, which is fine for my need's. You could always flash over the stock kernel (which I will attach to this post) and compare the two. The current kernel in use is a intersectRaven build (20120110_1106 I think but am unsure). It is still being developed so battery life will likely just get better.
But anyway. Check the attachments on this post for the stock CM7 kernel built 02-01-2012. Also note, the stock kernel is not overclocked. It's default speed is 1008Mhz, where as Raven's is set to 1.2Ghz.
Ok ... indexa question for the whistletop rom, do you put the kf in airplane mode ? When i did not it seek for a signal and eat some power ....
Sent from my Kindle Fire (CM7).

I've notice a similar thing with the battery life. Prior to this ROM I was using whistletop's ROM with no battery loss while the device was sleeping. So as Takenover83 indicated, it's more likely to be an issue with intersectRavens kernal.
No problem, I can live with it for now. I love the responsiveness of this ROM, Thanks Takenover83.
I left my device alone for a little over ~10.5hours. Only thing I turned off was wifi. Note, I have a crap load of app's installed.
After 10 hours, I had 90% battery. So that's roughly 1 percent per hour, which I can live with. This was On Demand 300/1200.
Yeah I noticed a significant drain in battery loss. This morning my kindle was completely dead and when I got it charged I had some serious problems. It seemed wifi stopped working. I was able to connect but none of my google apps couldn't connect.

[Q] Battery Life and ROMs

Hey guyz, I just got an X10 used, it was running on a Wolfbreak ROM and the year old battery drains 4% per hour on minimal use and even just burning a mere 3% in 3 hours when screen off, I was quite satisfied with that bcoz I understood it was a used up old battery but the ROM was just so buggy and it's prone to freezes and glitches so my friend told me to do a full wipe and get back to stock gingerbread 2.3 and i did but the problem is the battery life got even worse, it burns 10% per hour(even when screen off) now. I tried everything, advanced task killer(aggressive, when screen off, security level low), turning off wifi/bt/gps/background data syncing, I set brightness to 25% but it's still like that.
TLDR: ROM was buggy so I went to stock gingerbread and Battery life got worse when I went to stock gingerbread
So I've decided to resort to having a custom ROM again, which ROM is the best for battery life?
the answer might be Wolfbreak and the one I had wasn't that stable
EDIT: or maybe post an alternative method of improving battery life, that I wasn't aware off lol

Weak battery life after 4.2.2 update / Android-System

Hello guys,
after updating my N7 (32gb WiFi) to Android 4.2.2, the battery life has drasticly decreased.
After 2 hours of display on time, only 66% left. WiFi was always on, I browsed the internet and watched a few videos with Youtube.
The strange part is, that 75% of the battery usage is because of Android-System.
Any solutions for this?
Thanks

i guess flashing a custom kernel will help. Right now I'm also running the latest update and it's been 35 mins of screen time at 90% battery level. When I was in 4.2.1, the battery life was much better and it didnt drain as much. I always liked stock because it gave me a much better battery life than custom kernels. I guess I'm going back if this continues.

What's up with the battery on ports vs stock?

I thought my battery was doomed.. Until I tried a Note 7 Port. For some reason I get MUCH better battery life on the ports than "stock" custom roms.
On ports I get almost zero drain and 1-1.30 hours per 10% and that is while my phone is even in the pocket most of the day (low standby drain). On the other hand on every stock rom, after the same day, same usage and same apps I have around 45min SOT and down to 70%.
I think Android System is the culprit, but there are still people having amazing battery life on "stock" roms. So how do you stop this Android System drain? It's clearly fixed on the Note 7 and there might be months before we get the updates where the note are now.. But I like stability by far, so would like to go back to stock, if I could stop the drain.
Thanks in advance

problems with battery measurer of s3 neo (i9301i)

Well.
My phone an i9301i (samsung s3 neo spain).
My battery anker 7200 mah.
My ROM now is cyano 4.4.4. Optimized with vulpix rc4.
My problem.
When i use muy phone.. The battery drains quickly. For example facebook in browser intermitently in 8 hours can drain an 50%. I know that battery can do 12-16 hours of screen up. I unplugged The battery from the phone and when the system is up. The measurer of the phone marks an 85-90 %. I'm crazy....
I calibrated the battery in every posible way view in internet and nothing works.
Any ideas.
Is an ROM bug?
Is the ROM only prepared for the stock battery of 2100mah?
Thanks and sorry for my english. Im spanish
Well there ware similar problems before dating to older unofficial CM days that battery doesn't change up to 100% properly. Regularly normal boot up uses 2~3% of normal battery. Chrome does eat battery abnormally much more than web view or Gecko based browsers. Think you're results are actually as they should be concerning SOT time wile browsing but I don't see a reason for complaining there. I use regular sized Anker 2200 mAh & on Official CM12.1 my SOT varies from 4+ h to 6+h depending what I am doing with it & where I am.
I don't know whats the problem. But android shows a battery drain abnormally faster. The battery charge is normal.
Why the difference is much bigger. When the battery arribes a 0 the phone is off...... But in the battery there is an 30-40-50 % energy ....
Im crazy...
Well it actually is regulated by the voltage level & not a capacity... Switch the ROM.
anker battery 7200mah i used too...
just with replace trick was used all capacity of battery
replace the battery and continue use of it... u have higher % after replace and reconnect
Zola. I"ve installed cyano 5.1.1 official. I will say if goles wrong por well.
Needforspiz..... Thats is what i do. But its not the best thing for use The phone. I wish the correct use of battery measurement.
Thanks for yours answers
Somehow android notify the battery is 7200 Mah??????.
i think that this is a value android not change.
The battery has 4 months. The phone has 1 year and half.
What's the problem. Phone or Android?????.................................
Thanks for answer me.
