It's not about partition it has been answered many times already. It's 411mb or 413mb and not 512mb because the difference is being used by the gpu. Scan through the pages of q and a and you'll find it. This is dev section.

Shameless plug:
Try using my configurator to setup the partitions to your liking.
For the ROM: I'm using mghtyred's MghtyMax 1.9.1 with a 128MB swap partion and ext4. It's the fastest one I've used.
yes ive heard about the MightyRed 1.9.1 . Thats the one i want but DONT know how to do Partition the way he has it.
So do i root my phone then download your config then open it and do step 7? Then load up mightyred rom?
Also do i place the sd card in my PC to do this then place it back in mytouch
thanx in advance

Why move it? So it can go with the other 50times this SAME question has been asked....
also for future reference... the search button is free
HOWTO Partition your sd card
take a look at the threads that start with [ROM] I'm willing to bet somewhere in each of those threads you'll find more than one post saying "This is the [best/fastest/most stable] rom out" and if you look at who said it they most likely said it on a few other roms too thats because each person uses their phone differently and each rom can either be good or not for that specific person.
then theres also the style if your a fan of hero then hero roms are gonna be the best, you also have the live/die for Cyanoden people... can you guess what they consider to be the best rom??? and now theirs tattoo, blur and pulse style roms coming out so that just adds to the pile.
The only thing you can really do is flash until your happy, which its a good thing that it takes 30sec to flash a new rom, to tell you the truth i flashed a good 20 roms before I stuck with the one I use now and I bet someone would disagree that its the best rom but from all the ones ive used for what i do on my phone its the best for me
so instead of asking people that most likely use their phone for completely opposite things you do, I suggest you just flash a few and figure out whats best for what you use if its not better then the last one you flashed then restore [thats what the backups for ] and so on...

you need a clockwork mod partition of 445 mb with a 5 mb partition size. if you download the handy program called hd2 toolkit the process is very easy. enjoy

Thanks for the clarification!
basically its
5meg boot partition for the boot files
445meg for the main rom files
5meg cache although this number can vary and some roms require a 44meg cache partition
Hey guys are u sick of low internal memory on ur
phone??
Just follow this simple tutorial and increase it upto
4 gb
Note: your memory card must me of class 4 or
more otherwise phone will slow down a bit
Firstly backup your memory card on your
pc.because u r going to lose all your data on your
memory card during this process
Now reboot into clockworkmod
recovery and partition your sdcard.choose the
partition size u want.the amount of partition u
choose will be the internal memory on ur phone
After the partition is finished u vl lose all the data
on ur sdcard.now restore the backup frm ur pc.
Now download this file and place it in ur sdcard
https://www.box.com/shared/fc4edb3f5507b5c20610
Mirror
http://db.tt/LBapMbYg
Now reboot into recovery and mount system data
sdcard and sd-ext
Now go to flash zip menu and flash the file in the
above link
Now reboot ur phone and check ur internal
memory
Enjoy!!!!!
Note:this method is not created by me.i got this from galaxy ace thread and decided to post here because hd2 users have the problem for internal memory

Hi, I tried several times but it does not works properly. What happen is that I get enough internal memory but when I want to download applications from market, it does not install it. After download finish while installing the application the response I get is error while installing. Is it because of I have installed a2sd script?
Other than that it is perfectly okay and it give enormous internal space.
Please advise.

Anurag Panday,
You are great my friend cause you have solved my so long problem. But I had to tried at least 6 times to get it done and it took me 3 days to get success. At last when i installed rom without A2SD it worked and my internal space now 853mb whereas it was only 90 before. It solved a major issue of HTC hd2 AS many of them are facing this problem.
So for others my suggestion would be do not install A2SD if you want to use this to get more internal space.
Thanks once again to Anurag panday.
Cheers

Anurag Panday, finally the process you stated here worked perfectly alright on to my HTC HD2. My internal storage space now more than 800mb where it was before 35 to 40mb maximum. It worked when I installed ICS rom without the A2SD. So on your original post this was not mentioned as for this I had to try at least 5 times to install it.
Many thanks for your help.
Brgds.

Mr. Panday, I've another issue with the camera. I've installed MIUI.us-ICS-Leo-2.4.27-HWA rom in to my HTC HD2 starting of this month. I've done what you've said here to increase my internal memory. All are working fine except the camera. The camera works partially. The problem is it does not show any buttons on screen. Thus you have to imagine where you'll get the shutter button to take shot. But in dark when I press the shutter button it takes the picture and ever I can zoom in and out but all in dark as it does not show any buttons.
Do you have any solution to that? If so kindly let me know.
Another issue after the internal memory increase is that when I go for reboot it cannot reboot first time and the response I get is com.andorid phone stopped unexpectedly. So what I need to do is to take out the battery and start the phone again. It then works out!!!! So funny. Any solution on to this.
I will be grateful if you can help me on this.

If i had that much time to waste and go through hundreds of pages, i would have posted the link instead of letting you know it exists. infact, there were even ports of sense on android 1.6 from htc tattoo.
However those builds are badly broken and cannot be recommended for usage, besides the fact you have less than 1% chance to find the download link working.

Hello I have a question too ...why on earth you want Android 1.6 Rom ?? when we have ICS with HWA running on HD2 ???
Maybe he wants to learn about the History of Android Development on the HD2
need search through the winmo threads for the sdcard images maybe ask if the op still has them lol
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=578575&page=50 this is where i got to, and i just lost hope, but its fun looking at the history of the HD2, i've just looked at a LOT of threads, funny to see how the HD2 have evolved from a WM device to a super nice multibooting device
