Saturday last week, my Samsung Focus burned the display itself after 25 days old in Vietnam (I bought it from AmazonWireless on Jan 08, unlocked it with fastgsm). Right now, after turned on it displays nothing and the burned conner become very hot that I have to unplug its battery.
I sent an email with pictures to Samsung US but they refused and asked me to call them (pictures are thousand words but they didn't accept??? ). I wonder if there is anyone has the same problem to me and how Samsung resolve it.
Thanks

Good thing you have a warranty. I would take advantage of it.
what you dont understand is samsung cannot do something with just a picture... they have to have the phone in hand to make the decision....

I was at our local air show this weekend taking a video of an F-16 with my 8525 and about ten minutes later I noticed that my camera's sensor had been burned by the the intense light. Well after a couple of days of wallowing in my stupidity I decided that I would just replace the camera. Does any one know where I can find a camera to replace the one in my 8525?

Also worth trying ebay for a "parted out" Hermes.
Curious to know what your symtoms are???

Folks, For a change, lets have some fun.
I know we would luv our DVP's and our friends would envy it, if it was not for the Wifi and freeze issues.
So, for a moment lets presume that we do have a bug-free DVP. Now come show the best part of your home screen!!!
Here is mine ( a bit photoshopped for the luv). And this will be my profile pic for sometime.

If it makes you feel any better I was on the phone with dell customer support earlier today and according to the they are supposed to be releasing a new firmware update this week or next that should resolve the wifi issue and freezing. Take that with a grain of salt though as it seems dell has said this to customers before.
So some things happened and my Nexus 7's touch screen got junked.
I've sent the device to ASUS support hoping they would fix it at reasonable price...
I was wrong. They want to charge me almost 75% of the damn price for an LCD change.

This is 210 USD. Any leads on cheaper ways to fix the damn display?
Get a faulty unit from somewhere like Ebay/Craiglist, but make sure the fault aint the screen.
Then take the screen off the faulty one, and replace it onto yours?
"This was brand new at Christmas - my children somehow broke it only a few short months later so now the screen displays a mix of colored lines as seen in the photos. The screen is good - no scratches. It charges and powers on. Has enough of a display that I was able to go into the settings and remove everything, and set it back to factory defaults." - I might purchase this if anyone knows how to fix it.

not worth the hassle, a brand new one only cost you $199 and you have to replace the screen on this one and no warrenty if anything else goes wrong, that'll cost you a bit so i suggest you just hold off
I need help with my Note4's display. I paid a local phone repair shop to fix the cracked glass. when I got the phone back things looked different. most noticeably everything looked washed out, kinda greyish. I took it back to them and they replaced lcd. they said there was nothing more they could do and blamed the issue on the software. I reloaded the original firmware and the phone is now completely stock. I made a test pic with some gradients that confirmed my suspicions. the first pic attached, test2, is my phone side by side with a friends phone displaying the second pic, test. does anyone know what possibly went wrong?
