It keeps vibrating for no reason. Every morning it vibrates and I check it, no notification, no call, nothing and still I cant figure out why it vibrates on it's own.
Does anyone else has a similar problem???
What ROM and kernel are you using?
Sorry forgot to include.
Stock rom 2.2
Kernel 2.6.32.21
Well, I don't know if it's kernel or ROM actually, but I do experience it myself every now and then, on LeeDrOiD (current v2.2.2 with 2.2.4 kernel). No pattern at all, just happens once in a while, I don't take much note of it.

Do you accidentally press the volume+ and the volume- at the same time?

Try the following:
* Turn the phone off
* Remove the battery
* Return the battery and make sure it's secured
* Turn the phone back on
Observe if you still have the random vibrations.
THe same problem happens to my phone also. It keeps on vibrating. I think it happens when the phone Is low on memory

if I remember correctly, it's the kernel creating debug logs.
Yes, that's true. It vibrates when a debug log is created. Turning off usb debugging should fix this.
Had the same problem with 1.32 stock a week ago because i had to return to stock due to some reasons

Yeah debugging mode is on....gonna switch it off and see if it makes any difference.
Cheers guys
But don't forget: if you turn usb debugging off, it is possible that your cpu usage goes to 100% because of a bug in the init process. If you get lags or more battery drain turn usb debugging on again

In case you haven't realized for what ever reason, the Vibrant vibrates when done charging, this wakes me up in the middle of the night sometimes . I've looked through all the settings and there is no way to stop it. Is there anything i can do to stop this?
Try not charging it at night. Works for me!!!
But seriously, you could probably disable it with tasker or something.

Unless you have it on your face it shouldn't wake you up.
If you flash the leaked update, instead of vibrating it gives you a notification.

(I raised the same question at the bottom of pg. 3 of that thread -- yes, it wakes me up too! )
SamVib -- can you confirm that the update disables the alert that happens when the phone is OFF (if so, that's great).
I've got a few problems I was hoping someone might be able to help me change on my Epic.
1. When I plug the phone in to charge it automatically stays on. Is there a way to have it time out?
2. When the phone is finished charging the phone vibrates and displays a message stating the phone is fully charged and then the screen stays on. Can I make it not vibrate and have the screen turn off?
Thanks for the help. Otherwise I love the phone.
#1 go into your settings, under Applications, development, and uncheck "Stay awake". Then go back to where you purchased the phone and yell at the salesman for not unchecking it after they transferred your contacts from your old phone.
#2, root your device and implement a custom kernel.

I have a i9020A and my screen will not time out. I have it set to 15 sec, even installed screebl and set it to 15 sec....no matter what i do the screen won't turn off unless i press the power button......tried multiple reboots and no fix....how do i fix this? this is becoming a real pain
Try doing a factory reset. I had the same problem. It was not the first factory reset that solved it but the second one. Make sure you do not install the apps immediately. After the facotory reset use it for a day or two and observe. Then install the apps one by one. I think some apps cause this problem.

Is the phone plugged in? There's an option to keep screen alive during charging which may be enabled?

nope
for some reason its working now...no clue what was going on
Hey guys,
Sorry if this has been asked before, I did a search and didn't see anything.
A few weeks ago I noticed that my 2013 Flo was randomly powering down. I have noticed that this only occurs when the screen is shut down and it is allowed to go into deepsleep or hibernation as it will only occur after the screen has been off a few minutes. There is sometimes a series of four beeps after which the device powers down. If I turn on the screen after the beeps it comes up with the shutting down dialog as if I manually shut it down. I have tired to use various log recorders but all of them keep the system in wakelock and thus prevent this from happening.
I was wondering if anyone else has been having this issue, or know of any methods to debug this, and if it is a hardware issue thus meaning I should return my device or not.
Also: I am running PA 3.98 rather then stock but do not believe it to be caused by the rom.
There are some threads where people mention this happening because the "keep wi-fi on during sleep" setting not being checked as the root cause.
What's yours set to?

It was set to never. Just put it on always. I'll see if that fixes it. Thanks
This just happened again so I dont think that fixed it.
Sorry for bumping this but it still is happening and I think I have tried everything. Does anyone know a way to fix this or should I try and swap my device for a new one and hope that works?
Swap it IMO

Hi guys, what a nightmare this is! im on CarHD V2.1/Android 4.4.2 & when ever i plug my charger in on a night the bloody phone switches back on, now ive looked into this and there is two apps you can DL to see what is causing the issue they are "wakelock detector & betterbatterystats" they have now shown me that its an app or some software in my phone called "Audiomix" thats causing this does anyone know what it is and how to disable it or a go around please?
cheers..
What do you mean it turns on? The screen turns on or the phone turns on ?
If it's your phone that turns on then it's not an app. It's the kernel.

Hi Lenny yes the phone turns on fully and its really annoying cause ive got mates all over the world who are FB messaging me or sending me text at all hours so i need the phone to be off when i turn it off, many thanks
It is your current kernel that does not support offline charging. Change kernel.
