I'm currently trying to get Android NAND on my [T-Mobile (US)] HTC HD2. It requires to flash MAGLDR, but you need to install HSPL 2.08 before you can do so. However, you can't install that unless you have SPL 1.42.0000.
Right now, I have SPL-2.10.0000.
I read this post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=5923079&postcount=4
It said that you would need to get a 1.48 ROM, but whenever I put my serial number in, it says, "Sorry, this software download is not suitable for your device." Should I do a hard reset and return it to factory settings or something?
What do I need to do to get SPL 1.42.0000 instead?
Other info: I have ROM version 3.14.531.1 and Radio version 2.15.50.14.
Thanks!
if you flash anything that gives your tmous (t mobile us) hd2 spl 1.42.0000, it will be dead. you are reading ooooold information, related to the regular hd2, not teh tmous (you have a 'tmous', or '1024leo' or 't-mo hd2' its important that you keep an eye out for that.)
keep reading., , a starter hint if your aim is android is 'hspl4 - 2.08.hspl'
U need hspl4, do a reach on it

Please Help me i installed hspl and than uninstalled it and ow the spl is 2.08.000 and when i bought the hd2 it was 2.10 HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
hey i think that the new hspl reverts to 208 because 2.10 won't work it downgrades your spl i would search the thread on how to revert to stock
download and install T-Mobile 2.13 Rom.
i also tried that, but it still says 2.08
saying "i have 2.08" is like saying "i have a ford"..... a ford what?
what does it actually say? 2.08.0000 or 2.08.hspl ?
i suspect it says .hspl, because that would prevent the 2.13 rom from upgrading the spl to 2.10.0000, which many people will tell you works when your spl is 2.08.0000
yea i also want to upgrade back to hspl 2.10, and i did the tmobile update it still says hspl 2.08.000
You can get back to spl2.10 by flashing stock T-mobile 2.13 via SD card. Plenty of info of how to flash rom with SD card. I hope it can help.
what do you do if your phone doesn't allow dls
My phone doesn't allow downloading from the sd. It posts Improper certification or parts missing. Obtain proper certificate of reload item. It has been doing this since it blew away my downloaded built of android when I touch the windows start button next to the home button below the screen. I have searched for an answer, but can't find one. I even flashed hspl3, and I still can't flash android?

You need to find and flash an origonal shipped ROM from here (and make sure you READ the thread first)
And maybe also read through these as well:

IMPORTANT: To install/uninstall this HSPL3 there must be any SPL version from this list on your device:
SPL 1.42.0000, SPL 1.62.0000, SPL 1.66.0000, SPL 2.07.0000, SPL 2.08.0000, SPL 2.10.000
To Uninstall you can flash a Stock ROM via SD card or use HSPL3 application (You need select 2.08.0000 in the choose screen)
Not all ROMs are compatible with 1024LEO, including old official ROMS.
Official 1.42 and 1.66 WON'T WORK on LEO1024, because there is no 1024 NAND memory support.
All custom ROMs which ARE NOT BASED ON 2.08+ T-Mobile ROMs WON'T WORK ON 1024LEO.

Hi everyone!
Been surfing the web and xda for solutions to this for 5 hours straight and I can't find anything that helps me with my problem. Can't find a thread about it either, so I hope you guys can help me.
So I got my HD2, trying to run Android on it via NAND, but first off I'm not able to use MAGLDR; When the HTC-screen with the progress bar comes up, but just locks up on 0%.
I google it, and look it up here, seems i need to run HardSPL and get a new to get this badboy to work, but when i try running that, i get the error message "Bad spl".
Now where do i go from here? Did i miss something when looking for the info?
If anyone has a solution to my problem, I would be thrilled.
And if you need any info, just post and i'll provide whatever info you need!
Thanks in advance!
I've got the same problem. Already got the original 3.14 WM rom and darkstone froyo superram installed.
Today I wanted to flash to a NAND rom, but had the same problem as you. Could have something to do with HardSPL not flashing the stock 3.03 SPL.
I'm also waiting for help
Hello,
I also ran into the same problems as you guys. It very important that you flash a rom that a HASPL lower then version 3. I notice that 3.14 stock rom comes with version 3.xxx of HASPL what made it impossible to flash to 2.08 HASPL what is also needed for MAGLDR 1.11.
So I flashed a the 1.66 stock rom version from my SD card then there was an older HASPL present on my hd2. So far, so good. Then i flashed to MAGLDR 1.11. But my hd2 won't start up anymore. Just the white HTC screen. The reason was that my radio version wasn't the right one. It has to end on x.50 and not x.51. So I flashed a x.50 version of the radio. Then I flashed MAGLDR and I was on my way again for android nand flash.
Hope this helps ...
Grtz
Check your radio version
I have the same problem like you,
I resolve the problem when I change the radio version to Radio_Leo_2.15.50.14
P.S. When you flash with some old official ROM you also change radio ROM
now everything work
If you have SPL 3.03, you cannot flash HSPL 2.08 directly into it. It will not work.
So if you have a HD2 device with 3.14 HTC HD2 official firmware, you will have SPL 3.03.
You must downgrade your SPL 3.03 to SPL 2.xx or SPL 1.xx before HSPL 2.08 can be installed.
US T-MOBILE HD2 (1024MB ROM)
You need to find 2.10.531.1 or 2.13.531.1 OFFICIAL FIRMWARE from T-MOBILE website.
You cannot use 3.14.531.1, which is the thing that gave the SPL 3.13 in the first place.
You need to extract from the EXE file using 7-ZIP or WinRAR RUU_signed.nbh, and rename RUU_signed.nbh to leoimg.nbh and put it on a FAT32 MicroSD card, then turn off your device, hold volume button, then turn on the device.
PRAY.
HTC HD2 (512MB ROM)
You guys are lucky.
Goto HTC's website, choose the country where your phone is from.
Download 2.xx or 1.xx version of the official ROM
Extract RUU_signed.nbh and rename it to leoimg.nbh, then copy to FAT32 MicroSD Card.
Turn off the device, hold volume button, then turn on the device.
After the SPL is no longer 3.13, use HSPL3_PK and update to HSPL 2.08
Remember to flash your radio to 2.15.50.14.
Hi everyone,in advance i would like to tank everyone that take the time to read this threat!!!here is my question...i had a Nand Android Rom on my Hd2 and unfutunaly the phone stop getting signal(phone's problem)and i have to send it back to Tmobile.i read all the theats i was able to,and to what i understood i had to flash a stock windows 6.5 rom,i also read on a theat that any SPL ending on .0000 would valid my warranty!!!every thing its done to the phone...i now have a stock rom and my SPL is 2.08.0000. My question is...is this the right SPL for US T-moblile users?if not,can anyone link me to where i can find it?ones again guys!!!thanks a lot for the time!!!
That all depends on the build, it could also be 2.10.0000 or 3.03.0000. If you flash the original rom from the sd card you will get the correct spl version back as that is also installed.
If u have a SPLhigherthan 3.03, is that bad? Or just different? Cause when i got my phone back from repair i could play andriod on SPL 3.03 (or higher) and i had to downgrade my HD2
Not necessarily bad, it's just that the tools to "hack" the spl to allow you to install other roms does not work with spl 3.03.0000. The way around this is to downgrade the rom and with it the spl version to 2.10.0000 so that you can run HSPL.
Hello everyone
I know this is a question that has been asked 100 times before, but a post from mskip got me worried.
Here's my problem:
- I want to install a Gingerbread ROM on my HD2. I have understood everything about how to do that, thanks to XDA.
- My HD2 is currently running a Winmo 6.5 3.14 stock ROM from HTC's website.
- To install it, I had to install SPL3 on my phone. So on bootloader, my phone now shows SPL-3.03.HSPL (Cotulla HSPL btw, thanks Cotulla )
- And to install the Android ROM, I know I have to downgrade to SPL-anything between 1 and 2.
- I know you can do that by installing a stock ROM, but I read somewhere in a post by mskip that you CANNOT suppress HSPL3 by downgrading the ROM.
Anyway, in short, my question is:
Can I suppress HSPL3 and eventually manage to start the install of an Android ROM?
I'm not a complete noob, but not an expert either and I don't want to brick my phone or anything.
Thank you very much in advance
I don't understand what you mean by "suppress" it but basically all you need to do is to get 2.08.HSPL on your phone. How you do that is boot to 3.03 (volume down and power) and open HSPL3 on your PC. Then after it finds your phone etc. on the phone just choose 2.08.HSPL from the menu and flash that. Then after that installs you should be able to flash your radio and MAGLDR etc.
Sent from my HTC Vision using XDA App
Skellyyy is completely right you need to run the HSPL again on your HD2 and select HSPL version 2.08 HSPL because MAGLDR only supports 2.08 HSPL right now. You will hsve to flash MAGLDR in order to flash a Andriod ROM.
Thank you guys for the quick answers.
But the point is that the ROM I currently have (3.14) only runs with SPL3.
So if I downgrade to HSPL2.08, isn't there a risk that my phone is not going to be able to do anything after that, let alone installing Android?
See, that is a quote from the post I'm using to install Android. It says:
"A: Install HSPL3
Prerequisites
* Windows Mobile Device Center installed on Windows Vista / Windows 7 or
* ActiveSync installed on Windows XP
* You must have any SPL version from this list on your device:
o SPL 1.42.0000
o SPL 1.62.0000
o SPL 1.66.0000
o SPL 2.07.0000
o SPL 2.08.0000
o SPL 2.10.0000
(To check your SPL version, hold the Volume Down button and do a reset)
You should have this SPL version unless you are using the latest 3.14 ROM with SPL 3.03.0000. No worry, just downgrade your Windows Mobile ROM from v3.14 to v1.66 will do. Download HTC HD2 v1.66 ROM. Then downgrade your phone from SPL 3.03.0000 to SPL 1.42.000."
So it says here, downgrade to v1.66 ROM, and then downgrade from SPL3 to SPL1.42. That is not very clear to me. Isn't that supposed to be the same thing?
If downgrading to ROM 1.66 downgrades SPL to 1.42, then why should I AFTERWARDS downgrade from SPL3 to SPL1.42? Isn't that going to be already done?
And more importantly, you guys say I should simply run HSPL and choose an appropriate version, which is yet another method than what is explained above...
Oh boy I'm confused...

No need to worry my friend I am currently running a 3.14 ROM as you can see by my sig. I also have HSPL 2.08 on my HD2 just incase I decide I want to run Andriod or flash a custom ROM. I can tell you my HD2 is working just fine.
No those prerequsites are just the showing you the SPL version that you habe to have to flash HSPL 3. You only have to have ond of those versions but it has to be a version included in the list or you can not flash HSPL 3. If you do not have one of these versiond then the flashing to 1.66 then to HSPL 3 is just MSkip telling you how to get a SPL version needed to flash HSPL 3. But this is not needed now as there is a HSPL 4 version now that allows you to flash 2.08 HSPL when you have SPL 3.08.0000 or SPL 3.10.0000 with out having to downgrade your ROM.
So that basically means I should get HSPL4, run it and choose HSPL2.08 for example, and then I will be able to follow all steps to install and Android ROM?
Correct?

You have a tmous,,, you can't run 3.14 roms on a reg hd2 with any spl except 3.03.0000 or 3.03.Hspl.you get very unstable phone that thinks it has the 576meg ram unlocked but only really has 200 or so,with only 50 or so free for user apps. Unuseable.
OP correct, into bootloader, Hspl 4, 2.08.Hspl then back into bootloader and flash magldr from there.

Samsamuel I do understand what you are telling me here and I was a little concerned about this when I first flashed the HSPL 2.08 to my HD2. But to be honest I have noticed no real change in my HD2's performance compared to before. Also to be fair though I only have 5 nonpreinstalled apps on my HD2 as I found early on with my HD2 that a lot of apps can effect the performance of the HD2. I also never have more than two apps running at the same time as a rule too.
At the OP yes download and run HSPL 4 and choice 2.08 HSPL and you will be good.

because you have a tmous,,,,,, tmous 3.14 rom comes with spl 2.10.0000 and works with 2.08.xxxx, (or it may come with spl 3.03.0000, im not sure, but it doesnt require it, and your phone is proof of that) however the regular 3.14 roms come with and will not work without 3.03.xxxx.
Oh I get what you are saying now the TMOUS can do this but the EU can not. I was not aware of this. Sorry it took a minute for me to understand, I have been sick for like two weeks so my head is a kittle foggy because of it lol.
heh, it doesnt get mentioned often in relation to tmous.
tmous users never get the unstable system/bad ram error when they flash 3.14, regardless of the spl, so they never need to notice what the spl is before / after, so dont notice it didnt get updated.
Im sick too, its the time of year for it. Not that anyone would notice teh difference, i am still sat hunched over the keyboard, swearing under my breath occasionally at anyone who gets close,,,,,
Sam, it wouldn't really matter though would it? As he plans on flashing MAGLDR straight away so there wouldn't even be WinMo on the phone to make it unstable?

Oh no course not, all that stuff is fine.
Thank you very much guys, this is all very clear for me now.
I now know that HSPL4 -> 2.08 -> then droid flash is doable for me
Good night/day to you all.
