is possible to tell after flash if this 6.5 rom gets all good themes like 6.5.5?
feropont u can also reply if possible - i like themes and looks of your 6.5.5, but this 6.5 gives more ram. i try 6.1- dont like 6.1 too small for my finger. i like 6.5 good ram, and not too small, but love to have themes as in 6.5.5..

Hey Drasifjk, there is a single cab for Manila 2d in the TG01 forum posted not too long ago. I did use it for a while and it works nice I only stopped using it because you cant use cookies home tab with Manila 2d but its runs ok.

Hello
The Rom only has the classic blue theme that is seen in the catch that put Feropont.
The rom has the windows menu. I've removed it and stays with 142MB of RAM.
Again congratulations to Feropont for their work.

Kevin, in WM6.1 install HTC enlarge start menu and your start menu and softbar menus will be big. I can confirm it works great for Feroponts ROM

Sorry, not Manilla 2D but 3D (TF3D) but its still very lite compared to full sense and its all self contained in a single cab.

Anybody tested how long battery charge holds with this rom?
Is there problem with backlight control? since toshiba power profiles every time interfered with wm settings on backlight?!

great rom just loaded it this afternoon. I have disabled wm startmenu and installed spb shell and this rom is superb! batterylife is great! no backlight problems..
Stable, fixed file system problem, so happy.
Ok, so my phone is now not a pain in the ass hehe.
Fixed:
-Freezing when loading programs from the SD Card after coming out of sleep mode has been totally fixed!
-Fixed disappearing icons issue for programs loaded onto sd card.
-Phone is now faster, much faster.
-Battery life is better
-Phone is for all intents and purposes ... stable.
I now have a phone. Thank-you Feropont, you are the man!

Hi drupad.
I do not know how clean is this rom but I think it does not posses some needed files. I mean LsOma, LsFilter and transport packages.

Depends on performance - maybe it's worth it..
Not able to understand why HTC is not bothering for valuable 16MB RAM while releasing the new set of drivers??

I was wondering the same...and um, most things do run on the ELFin, the ones that have "permission" problems, is a matter of install...total commander, move files, delete manila from you windows folder, etc.
The COOL thing would be to make 2 ROMS, yes, 2 : a "MEGA 6.1" and a "MEGA 6.5". And do a REAL TEST. See which is better in performance, battery life, and overall use.

It does work, I am using almost everything from htc mega on onyx beta 49
but yes manilla 2d alone uses up a lot of ram , my ram usage while running m2d is around 60%
i think onyx .. will upgrade his rom to mega package .. but only 6.1

1) Mega has wm 6.5
2) Dsixda has stopped cooking
i use the 6.5 manila rom on here, the new m2d works along with the comm manager, notification manager and phone canvas, still not got all the program on the dev thread working yet though
can't remember the cooks name
and if i heard right i think kwbr is playing around with the packages as far as i've heard,
some of the stuff may not work well on elfin as the mega will probably be a full 3g phone but hey who said that it can't be made to work
Well, this is what we can do.
We use all the packages from MEGA.
Except for M2D, we use the older version.
Well, bad circumstances force us into doing that.
Well I have been waiting for this ROM too..!!!
But even if this ROM is developed by anyone, its gonna eat a lot of RAM for working..!!!
But lets hope the "awesome cooks" on xda pull out somethin as always..!!!
& make things work..!!!

A MEGA 6.5 hopefully
btw currently using on onyx beta 49 almost all Mega cabs provided by whitealien and most of them are working but my elfin ram usage is around 57%(min) and takes a long time to boot..
NOW IT'S less than 40 MB
So definately a good fast elfin mega wm 6.5 rom is possible
same here onyx beta 49 with all mega cabs
but it even slows down other stuffs also...

i do hope onyx or someone else can do it..... the new M2d rom by vadyarik is awesome too.. infact i have that rom on my device and all the MEGA cabs work flawlessly even M2d 2.0 and memory is just 38mb...so i bet we can have a MEGA 6.5 for our elfins and a MEGA 6.1 for Elfs.....

* The camera flash won't be working continuously even after selecting manual flash in camera mode- This is not a bug, but a bug which was rectified by HTC to make the camera work like a traditional camera.

Hi just DL and testing now...one thing...where is the Doc tab?
I have tried all the roms so far and decided to go back to STOCk 1.48 because all cooked roms have issues (some more then others) I need to start using my device for 'WORK' all this flashing was 'PLAY' but will give your rom a try as it is the closes to stock.

The document tab comes with latest manila from 2.0+ ROMs, which are not much stable and have freezing issues(atleast with my 16GB storage card and more documents in it).
So, iam using the stable 1.61 base here, which doesnot include doc tab.
Will try to cook another version based on 2.0+ as soon as it becomes somewhat stable.

Optimal pagepool size increases the application loading speed and thus overall ROM speed considerably.
Therotically it should allow to have more program memory or free RAM.

This ROM is designed for pure speed and low ram consumption: for this reason it includes Jade Manila 1.2.1913.1530, with updated packages (e.g. EzInput 2.1, Phone Canvas, Task Manager...).

This rom includes latest Manila version (2.0.20163224) from HTC Mega. HTC HD2 Skin.
It reflects latest HTC M2D development, although there are some glitches due to compatibility with Opal.

Note. After flashed, the rom needs some hours to settle down, so in the first hours it can slow down sometimes. After 1 day it will be working 100%.
Note 2. Overclocking makes the device faster. The processor this way can handle better some processes. I recommend to overclock to 276mhz with OmapClockPlus, attached to this post.

Questions, suggestions and fixes
- Start Menu Background. To set Start Menu background the same as Manila background, go to Settings Tab, Wallpaper: select another image as background, after a few seconds click again on Wallpaper and set Default (as you will be asked). Now both Manila and Start Menu backgrounds are the same.
- MEGAOpal Home Tab. To update Weather on Home Tab: update weather on Weather Tab, then install this cab and reboot.
- 29007 builds. Volume Buttons. Wait some minutes before pressing Volume Buttons when you start up the phone. If volume buttons does not work, go to Settings Tab and click on Sound option: after the menu pops up the buttons will work. If pressing the buttons the device freezes, restart and try again. Overclocking the device can solve this problem (i use OmapClockPlus, attached to 1st post, set to 276mhz).
New touch flo (Manila 2D)
This ROM is good and extremely fast!!! It would be great if you can add the new touch flo for this and upload it too.... Even though the new touch flo reduces the performance just a little bit, it would be a awesome eye candy and completely worth it!!

I am glad of the positive feedbacks.
In the next days/weeks i will work on WM6.5.X, Iolite/Jade Manila, Mega Manila.
I want to give 3 lines of rom:
- OpalOplus (with Opal Manila), both WM6.5 and WM6.5.X
- OpalJade/OpalIolite (with Manila from Jade or Iolite), both WM6.5 and WM6.5.X
- MegaOpal (with Mega Manila), both WM6.5 and WM6.5.X
So you can choose between the lighter+faster Manila and the latest Mega...with also the possibility of a version in the middle.
EDIT:
Since Opal, Iolite and Jade EXT packages and Manila are similar...i decided to give only 2 lines of rom: OpalOPlus (with Manila 1.x and packages from all 3 devices) and MEGAOpal (with Mega Manila).

New OpalOplus updated!!!
- Fixed some glitches.
- Now it includes Jade Manila (1.2.1913.1530): it is an evolution of Opal Manila with the same speed and some new functionality, like Google Maps.
- Updated EXT packages.
- Internet Tab now launches Opera 10.
- Overall better than 02jan version.
- It is highly recommended to upgrade to this version, since it is a major update.
The old version was fast...but this one is faaaster!!!
In the next days i will rebuild a MEGAOpal version, based on latest mix of Opal, Iolite, Jade and Mega packages.
It will be faster and consume less ram than the 7th jan version.

i tried ur rom it is super fast but got some problems.i used mega 6.5.x.most application's option key is not working.issues with messaging its option key not working.problems with gprs also net is not connecting.i hard reset 2 times but it does't fix the issues.please give me a solution i like ur rom

only cooker can fix them just by recooking rom

i already install that haha it work on this too, but you know when you press phone menu button - in 6.5.x you get finger friendly big menu come out, but in 6.1 they are too tiny, need stylus every time!

Hi Feropont, truly incredible to get 145Mb free ram and even better the voicemail notifications work perfectly for me without having to mess around with the sms_providers.dll this is very rare in custom TG01 roms fantastic.
Would you be interested in looking into a 6.5 rom (I.E. Start menu and close on the top bar) using the same techniques and see how much memory we can get?
