How do I remove the Verzon boot/ext4 - Galaxy Tab General

I want to see if this is causing my tab not to be seen by my PC but I dont see how to reverse it, can anyone tell me how this is done.

Flash stock firmware through heimdall. There are links here to stock VZW rom, just search for it.

Reverting to stock.

Hi.
I've gotten my tablet up and running, flashed it with cwm, and installed a new kernel that doesnt work.
I want that kernel out of there. So i basically need to get my tablet as it was when i got it from best buy.
But can't seem to find a guide to doing this, and flashing like the way i did when i rooted the tablet doesnt work either.
Tried this and it took 3 seconds, and the file is 600 mb or so.
edit: It have come to my attention that I need the a PIT-file in order to re-partition the tablet in order to make a "fresh" install.
Is this correct? and if so, where can I find this PIT-file ?
did u make a backup before installing? i just did this same exact thing. let me find the link i used. basically downloaded stock image and flashed it, then rebooted and all was factory
here is the link

[Q] Restore SGS (europe) to default firmware

I've grown tired of CLM chrashing all the time, and I want to go back to the latest possible european firmware. This, however, proved to be quite the challenge. This is our story so far:
1. Our hero starts up Odin and (appearently does not) revert his SGS to it's orignal state. Instead, he gets BSOD, but manages to boot the phone into download mode because he's a hacker.
2. Our hero randomly finds Darkys mod. He installs the mod, and everything actually works. Except that Darkys is way worse, and our hero longs for the days of speedmod kernel stock firmware.
3. Our hero reads somewhere that it's a good idea to factory reset his SGS, so now he cant boot into anything but boot into download and recovery. The phone is, however, very not bricked anymore.
4. This is were the hero asks the league of justica (or XDA) for help. He wants the following:
A link to the latest firmware for european Samsung Galaxy S, i9000, and some sort of guide to which files to use where in Odin (or heimdall). The problem is, all the guides I've tried so far linked to firmware that was inconsistent with what ODIN requested (it had no .pit file etc).
Can anyone of you champions of justice and peace help me with this?
Hey man.
Why haven't you looked a bit in the development section? There are plenty of stock firmwares over there
Here's the link with everything you need: click.
I suggest you flash JVT, it's the best stock ROM, as far as I know.
I hope I was able to help you. Bye

Bought rooted Note 2, want to return it to stock

As the title states I bought a rooted VERIZON Note 2 off of Swappa. Phone works fine, there are just some quirks that bother me (camera not connecting unless I restart, etc).
I want to return it to factory configuration. Currently the Android version is 4.4.2 and the ParanoidAndroid version is 4.0-BETA.
I was planning to download the stock ROM so the phone is exactly like it was from Verizon. I need to know exactly what programs and drivers I need to download to my computer first however and what the best sites are to use. A couple online forums and links lead me to download Odin but I also ended up installing a couple other programs also (search engines, etc) that caused my computer to go crazy. I restored it back to a later date to remove anything installed and am ready to try again.
I just need GOOD links that give me exactly what I need. I don't want any spam, stupid search engines, additional programs, etc installed.
I also need to know what drivers I need to install and where I can safely download those.
Once I have the supporting programs I think I can easily restore my phone.
Thanks in advance!
:good:
ADMIN: please delete this post. I have it in the wrong section. Thanks!

[Q] Need to download/install stock ROM

Hi,
I'm trying to network unlock my phone, and the company handling it says that it's because I'm using a custom ROM.
So I need to install the stock Touchwiz piece of ****. Can someone direct me to where I can find that? I've had a good look and I've not been able :/
Also, would I just need to boot into recovery, do a data/system wipe, then install from ZIP?
Would me doing that remove Clockworkmod?
Thanks for any help given, I've had a real ****ty time finding a ROM that wasn't paywalled >_>

This will provide you with a 100% stock firmware. Be sure to read the post in it's entirety before commencing with the process!
You will lose EVERYTHING with this, including CWP/TWRP ect so back up any images/contacts/files on your pc, and also try and find the CWM/TWRP or whatever before doing so.
It's hard to find a flash-able "Stock" rom, so I'd suggest doing this, then maybe going back to custom.
Good luck!

[Q] Help! Flashing rom."system software not authorized by Verizon"

Ok, please I hope you can help. New to rooting, I rooted my s5, and was working fine for days, then I got the error and yellow triangle "system software not authorized by Verizon" I downloaded one md5 firmware I found and flashed it using odin, after was done had the same error though. I was on version 4.4.2. (don't know if that matters) I cannot find any other "stock" firmware online to try that are md5 that I can use with odin. I can find all these custom roms in zip format but don't know how to flash to odin when they are in the zip format and not tar or md5. Right now im just bricked and cant do anything and trying to learn how to fix all this.
Links to all files you need to download and full instructions on how to Odin back to stock can be found here ==>

To properly root your device follow these instructions here ==>

You can not just flash a ROM to your phone like with older phones, due to the locked bootloader. You have to install Safestrap and install the ROM there. You will find all you need to do that along with a link to a Youtube video explaining it all here ==>
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2793891
ok, I did just like the guide says and applied the tar file. it goes through the whole process but when it reboots it still says "secure fail:modem" in the left hand corner and "system software not authorized by Verizon wireless has been found on your phone please turn off and got to nearest wireless store for help". Im lost....

Stick with my instructions to reset and the instructions to root. I have all the files and instructions you need for root linked in the how to root section in the OP.
I did it word for word, and after boot it still comes up to the system software not authorized by Verizon screen. Don't know how to proceed?
any help would be greatly appreciated because at this point im out 450 dollars.
Took it too Verizon and they said there is nothing they can do but give 178 dollar gift card...anyone here have any other ideas? Followed the rooting guide here, updates were turned off, don't know what went wrong

Did you re-partition using the pit file when trying to go back to stock? This doesn't make any sense. To the best of my knowledge, even tripping knox won't result in this ...
Yeah I did. Don't know what to do...I seem to be the only one that has had this issue. My question is, what did I do to wrong to make this happen? How do I prevent it when I get a new phone? It seemed to happen after tethering using x tether on xposed? Is there an issue with xtether ?
No there's no issue there. I run it and have Odined back to stock a couple of times and re-installed it.
Work backwards. Un-install all xposed modules. Un-install SuperSU, towel root and everything else you have added. Do a factory data reset and then try to Odin back to stock maybe? Take it all the way back to NGC
You don't use any kernel tars, just the full factory image tar
