Downloads sometimes in both the default browser and in Dolphin Browser do not work for me as well. It's fairly frequent. Seems strange to me it's in both browsers, hints at a OS issue.
Personally, I think the browser is nice but extremely buggy. not ready for prime time, really.
Outside of DL on my phone or PC and transferring, I have not found a workaround on the tablet itself.

Can anyone else verify this glitch. The browser find on page feature for some odd reason always freezes and makes me force close the browser on some sites.

Since you say "some sites" give me an example and I'll check for ya, but I'm not going to go looking for random sites to see if I can confirm it or not.
Try worldstarhiphop

I was having this problem yesterday with the stock android browser. I went into "settings" on the browser and cleared the cookies, cache, and browsing history and it fixed the problem. I'm pretty sure you only need to clear the cookies to resolve the problem though.
Or try a different browser on your phone. Dolphin, opera, stock.....

Despite what the subject says, I must say I AM able to download a file from any link you could think of. Except when I do, the download will start regularly and almost immediately say finished with the file being only a few kilobytes. This goes for every file type. When browsing the market and downloading apps though, no problem at all. Any ideas?

I dont know why but what ever browser i use it eventually gets to the point where the browser just hangs not crash, it just wont load links i click on or refresh the page its almost like if the internet connection has gone, it is definatley not a connection issue as my pc, laptop and ps3 have no issues. Its getting really annoying now, i have used various roms from aokp, asus hydro, i am currently using aokp build 40. I have used every browser, stock, chrome maxthon, dolhin hd, xscope, it doesnt seem to do it on firefox beta but its horrible and until the firefox team try and make it even slighty resemble the desktop version im not using it.
Anyone had this issue?

Thanks guys ill give it a try

Past Firefox has sucked hardcore, but now, wow. Its smooth, no chopping zooming out either, it reminds me of the stock galaxy s2 with the bounce effect.
Try it out. Tell me I am wrong
What browser is smoother in your opinion
I'll give it a try, thanks

I think it's amazing except for one major flaw which causes me not to use it.
The address bar doesn't scroll away when your scroll down webpages, it takes up too much of the screen real-estate.

Dolphin is good in writing, but too unreliable. Tabs didn't load a lot of the time it didn't even show up at all. Had to keep changing the current from desktop to phone just so i could post messages on different sites....the list goes on.
Any way to back up the bookmarks like Dolphin? I installed it when the stock browser was fc-ing on bookmarks and found the import/export feature makes life easier.
People should really give boat browser a chance. Very good speedy browser! :good:
completely agree with boat browser. I don't understand, why is it so low profile, I have tried other popular ones like Opera, Dolphin (& mini), stock, etc, but Boat seems to be the best of the lot
I think dolphin browser hd is really good along with stock s3 browser.

Chrome browser all the way. Faster than dolphin, opera and stock.

I use chrome because I am all Google and signing in allows me to save bookmarks easier. I might try this and see how well it mashes with flash. I can not stand the stock browser for some reason.
Anyways the only thanks I am giving is to the one who presented us with the new version being out. Thanks OP!
By the way flash is still available for us

For Firefox and Chrome, try loading engadget's desktop site. While loading, try scrolling down. You will see a lot blank white and takes sometime for it to load. Stock loads much faster.
Firefox has a great interface
