Its because we are all waiting for Froyo to officially come. There is really not much to do until that happens.
The trolling is being throttled a bit better right now.... whether it is via moderation or people toning it down after some bans, the diarrhea of the mouth is under control at the moment.
When these forums are busy it is usually bickering or pointless postcounting that numbers 50%+ of the posts.

did u see any custom roms out for the eb13. Honestly be patient, most likely the will probaly stop popping up by the end of this week. I mean our developers on here probaly have lives and have stuff to do on top of pleasing the forum.

LOL... I'm sorta hoping LP has a rewrite finished before Saturday,and the same for wifi tether (would like to see a finished 3.0),would also like several kernels to choose from before I make my next ROM. But either way I should have one out by Saturday night.

Yeah, well, there are also forum rules people are supposed to read and follow. "Search before posting" is one of them. So yes, we get tired of people asking the same questions over and over again, when a look at the first few threads would likely turn up results.

While that is true, if you(or whomever responds) just responded explaining that in the first place, this would be a much nicer forum. Everyone is quick to snap at someone on here. Also by the OP it is clear he didn't read the OP of the Gingerbread ROMs that he found or he would have seen that they are all from a leak that is not fully functional. I apologize for joining in on the jokes but please at least read the OPs in ROMs you try.

CM7...but you won't have access to camera, youtube, mms, or gps...yet, its being worked on. And for stable its my daily diriver bc after using it nothing is better than the gingerbread experience.

Scrolling through the threads all I see are Epic Touch threads. Isn't there a Epic Touch section now? I wish they would move all those threads over there.
Call me crazy but I think the Epic Touch 4G threads should be in the Epic Touch 4G forum section.
I still don't get why they called this the phone the Epic Touch since there isn't a keyboard but there's a whole other topic in itself.
Please clean the forums up.

Me 3... I bought the epic, not the epic touch. I am looking around for epic related stuff and the epic touch is not related. I can handle a few off topics, but there has been way too many on just the epic touch...

Me 4, The epic touch has been covered way to much in way too many threads.
Thats cuz no one has anything productive to say about the epic right now.
When gb gets out, therell be a lot more on topic threads. The epic touch is the next step in the epic (officially, atleast. Personally, its a whole different product line.) So its natural for users to wanna discuss it.
But I do feel like there's a lot of duplicate threads regarding the epic touch reviews and such.
I just want gb so that we can finally focus on just our phone since it won't be in a state of upgrade limbo anymore (considering we are defnitely not getting anything above gb so when it comes out, it can finally be optimized by the devs and they won't be wasting their time.)

I have actually enjoyed them, after all, it beats threads full of *****ing about the wait for GB anyday, at least IMO. and its given me something to read while I wait for the next GB leak to drop

No need to waste even more forum space with a thread about threads about Epic Touch.
If you see any in the wrong forum, report them. Personally, I can't really see too many.
I figured I would open this thread due to the all the hooey going on and also the clogging up of Kushdeck's and JaredtheGreat's ICS thread no longer on here, and with preludedrew not posting his roms on XDA. Any questions or issues are welcome and anyone that can help,can feel free to assist. No links will be posted here. Please follow @preludedrew on Twitter for updates and downloads. I've been running the rom for the last 24+ hours. I'm really impressed with how stable it has been. It has some issues mainly dealing with the gallary/camera and setting photos as things etc. but still, for it's alpha stage it's not bad.
I applied the car-o-dope settings and it seemed to calm it down a bit also. These roms should get real fun here soon!

Agreed and the battery life is outstanding. The gallery seems to settle down after a while, but I've been using Quickpic as a picture gallery and makes setting wallpaper and cropping much easier...it works well with ICS and I've gotten no fc's using it. Its free in the market and is a great alternative to stock gallery

You don't have to be a twitter fan, it takes 2 seconds to create an account and search who you want to follow, and check it periodically...keep it as an app on your phone so you don't have to keep signing in all the time. I recommend following @kushdeck as well because he posts test builds not available on XDA also, actually he just posted his alpha 4 build with working camera a little bit ago...

Yeah, I love how everyone was freaking out about a link being posted without even knowing whether or not Drew would be against it. Download links are visible to everyone with an internet connection... there shouldn't be a restriction on posting them.

The problem is with noobs flashing the Rom and something going wrong or running into problems and asking. the noobish questions that the Op isn't qualified to answer. The reason he doesn't care about people posting a link is because he doesn't have to deal with all the noobs and a-holes...

Except noobs flash ROMs and ask repetitive questions all of the time.. Why should we care if someone foolishly flashes a ROM they know nothing about? In any of the other threads, users ask questions which are 9 times out of 10 answered by other users, rather than the devs themselves.

For the last time...that wasn't the issue.... IT WAS IN THE WRONG SECTION that dude developed nothing you look up and see Aamikam look down and see Kushdeck and this a - hole strarted a thread to post a link to somebody elses Rom in the middle of these REAL devs ....when you post a Rom in the dev section you need to be available to address any issues it causes, bug fixes, improvements not drop a link and bone out...

Care to elaborate sir? Try wiping cache and dalvik cache then fix permissions, then reboot should help whatever your experiencing...

So we couldn't have a thread with a link in it in the development section because the OP wasn't qualified to answer questions, so you open a thread that serves the same exact purpose WITHOUT a link to the ROM? If you think I'm here to troll you are sorely mistaken, I merely am posting my thoughts in a thread, just as you are doing. The thread was perfectly at home there. It is a ROM in active development made by a dev who no longer posts here; but he has no problem with his work being posted alongside proper credit. The OP posted it to give room for development conversation.
There are multiple threads set up like this.. the CM threads, for example. After being posted, the poster usually never comes back and all questions and concerns are answered by users like us.
Posting that thread in the development section gave room for people who create mods to share their work, as well as to discuss different ideas regarding the fixing of certain bugs.
