I noticed that g-tab has ROMs with following two brilliant optimizations for tablets.
a. Home, Menu and Back buttons on the Status bar.
b. Notification popups like HoneyComb.
See the following screenshot to get an example of what I am talking!
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Anyways to get these on our tab?
That would be sweet as. hmm just lost my job and am looking for a new chalange... Is that Android i hear calling?? haha
looking cool.
I'll try asking the developer of the TnT ROM for gtab. Let's see if he is able to help!
Have you tried button savior in the market?
It creates a little pop-up thing on the edge of the screen for home, menu etc.
It's not exactly the same bug its a start ;-)
Sent from my GT-P1000 using XDA App
Not sure about the home, back buttons etc, I mean there's not much point is there... Notifications are cool tho
So a developer has added something related to CM!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1002000
Anyone willing to port it to Galaxy Tab?

This is useful for me because I use my tab as a media center and I surf from my couch using a logitech dinovo mini which does not have an option for home or menu. So the app such as button savior is indeed my savior as it saves me from having to get off the couch.
WOW the "button savior" is real kool!!!
thx for da recommendation!

Well I bought a new phone and decided to bring some life back into one of my old skins I did for WMP. I hope everyone likes them.
Both skins are for QVGA devices.

Yeah for lack of any better ideas the back button is the mute button. The playlist button is to switch to fullscreen if your watching a video.
Honestly my reason for those choices was because i listen to a lot of streaming radio and using the pause button instead of mute tends to cause the player to have to rebuffer the audio...so mute works better.. That and the softkeys do all the other functions for the player so it would just be redundant if the skin buttons did the same thing.
The next button i dont seem to have a problem with so im not sure why you do. If others report the same problem Ill see what I can do but for now I have no clue

Doubt it. Both skins are for standard QVGA screen sizes.
The Omnia is the next phone I get in June so expect the update when I get it.
Hey guys, NO, I don't want to remap the Panel Key. I just found this picture through xperiancers.com:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
As you can see, the panel button has the Windows-flag on it! Have you seen an X1 with this button before? Is it country-specific?
as far as i know this is a old picture, SE later released pics of the phone we have with X Panel. Guess they added panels later in x1s development
you can replace pannels with any other app
and launch that app with pannel button
i removed pannels and i use GPS app instead
br
I would like: short press - open start menu, long press - panel manager. Anyone?

thank's to X1BC program you can map any key you want, the panel key, ok, camera and so on, even on keyboard. you can also have a ctrl button under tab or win. try it: (you'll have to make some settings in the registry)

Hi
I am sure that I am not alone when I look at the new WM6.5 Start Menu and it just looks plain bloody ugly where it was once honeycomb and now all the icons are spaced oddly in rows of 3 icons then the next row below has only two and on and on..
Is it possible to go more down the line of having them all line up both horizontally and vertically.
See below mock up please.
Regards

That would look nice. Also, how about being able to arrange alphabetically?
My thoughts exactly
Can't be that hard. But since i'm using Launchpad nowadays, i'm not gonna make it

Would be cool as above Launchpad & Launchmanager are good progs but an app to replicate WM6.1 menu with Start Menu hook and the ability to change background "and other tweaks" would be sweeeet
If you have any luck let me know! It seems that the honeycomb is forced. The only way I could get it half-decent was a single column (i.e. a list). For more details, look at:

And with reStart you can tweak it still a bit more like changing folders, arrange icons etc

Froyo is making nice progress it seems, but I am not sure if you can put applications in there on your own. My guess, those icons are hardcoded in there.
As seen in this video @ 6:30 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0y7XJI4NN7k
It would be awful if they were hard coded. I'm ok with the phone button but maybe i wanna put something else in stead of the browser.
you should perhaps do a search before posting. this exact video is about 8 threads down, here
Interesting, a drop down icon below the google icon in the search widget... does that mean you can change your search engine?
Seems like they let you change orientation how you want in froyo Like cyangoen, or whoever did that mod did
Nice find. Anything can be changed
thats cool, I can roll with that.
maybe it's just me, but i don't find that launcher very attractive; i like the helixlauncher's ability to add 4 shortcuts, which looks much better than this

I'm guessing it's so you can choose options like Image search, local search, books etc.
That makes more sense to me, but who knows.
I love this since helixlauncher2 FC alot!
More home pages please
I liked the previous one better...
The update isn't launched yet and it can be anything....
Fingers crossed...
wish they would add the ability to turn the notification bar from white to black. I also like helixlauncher2's ability to remove the notification bar entirely from the homescreen.

No it doesn't. I haven't had a single crash in over a month. Maybe you should unbreak your phone.
Hello guys,
After some updates, I noticed a button like a slider on notification panel but it is not active.
I could not slide right side or something like that. It seems fixed button.
What was that?
do a long press on it and it should bring up app info for the app that created it. then just click on the i symbol

It could not push long press or something. It is fixed.
I know this option but it is not that. I posted an image now. :good:

that's not a notification. it looks like a tab to bring up a side bar or news service, could be a horizontal homescreen indicator (haven't used tw in years sorry), does it move or stay still ?
to sum up, I don't know sorry
