When using my camera it shows the gps searching signal

it does this to add a geo location tag to your photo.
IIRC there's an option to turn it off somewhere but i'm not sure where.
That's no glitch. That's Samsungs new always on searching for your location to embed in the photos EXIF data. You used to be able to disable this in the camera but in Froyo they removed that option.
If you take a pic with GPS on or location using wireless network enabled you're giving away your GPS coordinates of where the picture was taken everytime you post a photo taken with this camera.
GPS off
Wireless locations on
GPS Coordinates fully visible to anyone (blacked out here)

EVERY setting in Maps is turned off. No latitude, now, or anything. I'm down to manually disabling GPS now. I'll check my phone randomly to see the time, look for missed messages, etc, and I can see the freaking GPS fix icon in the status bar for a second. How do I convince Maps not to keep my phone awake to get a GPS fix?
If this is a software reflash all the stock .img with fastboot. Search for it at another thread. Let me see if I can find it again. If that doesn't work disable the GPS in any way possible. That's what I would do. I clearly don't have this problem. Might've been a bug in maps when you got the phone.

Well, almos everybody knows that if you unlock the bootloader you lose the DRM keys, which in the SP means losing the BRAVIA Engine, WALKMAN-Facebook likes and music information download and last but not least you will not be able to share your location via MMS and as I found today, the new Car mode app that shows you a map and some GPS information will not show you the map.
Today I bought a new ST27a (Go) and installed the Car mode app to see if that was true...and It is. The Xperia Go shows the map but the SP dont and keeps saying "location not found" (SP screenshot resized, it was too big to compare)

Ok so for Google maps to find my location I have to turn on the "allow google apps to use this phones location anytime the device is on" in Google maps settings.

Now after I use maps, let it find my location and then turn off gps from notification menu the gps stays on no matter what I do.
I even went to apps ops (nova launcher) and seen that Google maps was still using my location and turned it off but the gps was still on.
What could be the problem?

It seems like as it tries to focus, these coloured lines flash about on the screen.
I bought the Note 3 from a company on eBay, so could look to return it, but could it be software related? I tried Camera Zoom FX and it doesn't look like it happens.
You can see it in recorded video too -
I had these lines before and I managed to fix by turning off the wifi while using the camera.
Second solution is changing the router channel to 6 or below.
After the latest OTA from samsung the lines just vanish. (MK2)

Hope it helps

Thanks, glad I'm not the only one...
Clear the data and cache for the camera
Turn off WiFi
Use another app.
Usually these three or a combination of them helps.
Hi, I can't understand why when I'm using maps navigator in full screen mode, randomly, it just shifts to Picture in Picture mode. I do not press home button.
Don't know if it a bug or if it happens to someone else. I think it is pretty annoying.

Something I can do (except totally disable pip)?
:good:
Go to settings- apps- (upper right) special access- pictures in picture. Find maps in the list and turn off allow. YouTube have a switch built into the app itself. GL
