I'm having SMS issues. I know it's a problem on my end because they get sent, but I don't receive them. When I reflash my phone, they work. Then the messaging app starts acting up(I use ChompSMS) and suddenly I can't receive text messages. I'm running Liberty 1.5 if that helps.

i'll send a text to someone, then for some reason. they will get the same text like 4 times. why is my phone keep sending the text? even a few hours or days?

hey bigpat, the issue is with the Cody SMS threaded messaging. Just upgrade your ROM and use the new built-in threaded messaging with WM6.1
I use the built-in text message program in WM6.1 and I get the same issue. Once in a while, I will get the "Message was not sent. Try again?" message. Of course I click it because I want the message to eventually go through, but the receiver will end up getting multiple messages.
The towers also much acknowledge a message is being sent or receive and then respond back with an acknoledgement. Until this is all complete and if you keep clicking resend. It may resend everything over and over.
My phones having the issue with receiving them. The phone receives a message sends back the ok, but never receives it back to the phone. This then causes the original message to continue to be pushed until it gets a response to allow the newer messages to come. Very frustrating.
I was wonderig if this is happening with moonlight rom. Seems like i can send the text messages but can't receive them back. Anyone having this problem?
EDIT: I just installed frantic rom. problem dismissed.
I recently changed from a rooted Droid 1 to rooted Droid 2 and used 'sms backup and restore' to move my texts to the new phone. After doing so I can no longer receive or send texts with either the stock app or chomp sms. I could send and receive before I restored the old messages.
The stock texting app sits at the load screen with a red circle spinning and never shows any of the old texts, while chomp sms lists all my old conversations and lets me type a text but after hitting 'send' it hangs.
I've tried uninstalling chomp and clearing the data/cache of the stock app with no success. Is there anything else I can try?

My streak has suddenly stopped receiving txts. with the stock sms app i got the on screen message saying new sms received but there was nothing there. when i open an old sms and go back, it just refreshes with no messages at all, i downloaded gosmspro and it doesnt even notify me of new sms messages.
has anybody came across this before??

This problem is rather strange. I have an issue with my stock message app. It can receive and send SMS for the most part
The problem is, I can't seem to receive any SMS from one particular number only.
I can, however, send an SMS to that same number. It is receiving texts that are problematic.
I have checked with that other phone already, and it was able to send and receive SMS to another phone (not mine), without issue. Hence the problem appears to lie with my phone.
Of course, I can't say if there are other numbers from whom I can't receive SMS, but can only send, but this is something that I of course will not be able to know for sure.
Help please!
ADDITIONAL:
I am now using Hangouts, but it is not very intuitive. It does not have search capabilities. But at least when i use hangout as my default messaging app, i can receive text messages from that particular number. I tried going back to the stock messaging app, but the problem is still there and this problem is present each time i attempt to revert to the stock samsung app as the default messaging app. Hangouts is presently the default messaging app, so i can receive SMS from the particular number.
