Hi everyone,
my htc desire hd dial tones are extremely low,
but when i put my headphones in, i can hear them fine.
does anyone know of this problem and a fix,
thanks
i guess your lock screend sound is low as well. last week it happened to me too, and i searched it on the board. I dont know why it happends, but there is a program called quick settings, download it from the market(free) and you can easily configure it in the volume control tab. it worked for me
your system volume has gone down. install 'Audio Manager' from the market. It handles all audio of the device. then crank up the system volume and voila your dialpad is louder now.!
Worked for me. THX

Try Volume Control+ from the Market. If doesn't like it try other volume apps on there.
Yes i have tried that app but it is just for volume control.. it doesnt increase my ringer volume at all.

I just flashed miui 1.10.7 and I noticed when I use google voice search it shows the input as being as loud as possible and it can never recognize what I'm saying. It has worked on every other rom I have used. I'm assuming that the mic volume is way boosted. Is there a way to fix it? Thanks.

So I've had the n7 for a few weeks and love it. Running android 4.2 and nothing rooted. The 1 thing that annoys me most is that the volume rocker only seems to affect media volume, no matter where I am on the device. I have to open setting to adjust notification volume.
This isn't how it has worked on any other Android phone or tablet I've used. The volume rocker controls notification volume on everything else and it adjusts the media volume when I'm in a game or music/movie player.

If you find out the reason, i want to know it.
I wish it would only control media volume for me, i hate it controlling the ringer/notification volumes, but unfortunately there's no "fix" for that.
Maybe you found the magic solution xD
I found if im watching a video or listening to music it will only effect what im listening too, or if I do it on the main screen with nothing running it will change all the volumes.
You can press the rocker once and then tap the mixer button on the right side of the volume slider to bring up other volume options, but the main reason is most people set the notification volume and then just leave it alone. Media volume is the only thing that needs quick adjusts, usually. -Ara

This makes sense, but it's not what I'm used to. I guess I have to adjust to it. I'd like to be able to just control notification volume from say the home screen like I can my on my android phone. Oh well. 1 extra step won't kill me
