I know a long time ago I saw a thread about this but I'm using the xda app right now and I can't find it. When I go into my message size limit it says 100, 200 or 300. I swear it used to go to like 1000 max size. What's the deal? I tried clearing data and that didn't work. Any ideas guys?

That's weird. When I go to message size limits, I get options for 300, 600 and 1000. Those are in my stock ROM after the update.
Sent from my HTC Glacier using XDA App
They were there before. I don't know how that would happen.... Obviously no one else does either. Lol!

All us here and no one knows?

What rom are you using, if any?

im running IG 1.1.6 and it lists 300k,600k and 1000k for maximum message size
so not sure why the OP is only seeing up to 300k

Has anyone else experiences this? It always happens after I go into another app or put the phone to sleep from xda. Usually after 10-15 minutes I go back into xda and it takes for to load. Then once I press back or home it force closes. Not a big deal but gets kind of annoying.

Yeah happens to me too. I go in, it says connecting to server forever, then I hit back to close that popup, then if I hit back again it slides over to a blank screen, then the force close notification pops up.

What is this app? I want to disable it using terminal emulator because it's always running at like 6mb on my phone but I'm not sure if this is a necessary process.
Sent from my HTC Glacier using XDA App
Just throwing it out there but I think its micro SD manager
Sent from my HTC Glacier using XDA Premium App
If I disable it will my phone not be able to access its contents even if I have astro?
Sent from my HTC Glacier using XDA App
Well if it is then I don't think so. Its basically a driver. Its like saying I have the keyboard but I don't have the cable, can I still type?

Alright, well i'd like to delete some more bloatware. I know a bunch of the "com"names are self explanatory but does anybody have a list of what name controls what? I'm looking through pm list and they're not all explicit.

Here's the website for it: http://www.smithmicro.com/products/device-management-suite.aspx
It has something to do with receiving OTA updates.

This is more of what I was talking about http://www.market4android.com/stock-android-2-1-apps-list
The list did help me but I have a MT4G with Stock Rom 2.2.1 so if anybody has a more specific list to that I'd appreciate it
I'm not rooted yet but I've been having issues with my Mytouch deleting all my text messages every week. I was originally using handcent then went over to using GoSmspro and I'm still getting the same issue; even after fling a master reset and swapping to a newer Mytouch. I can't inside what the problem could be. Insight?

In the stock messaging app... not Gosms pro hit menu button setting uncheck delete after 200 message or so.
Sent from my HTC Glacier using XDA Premium App
That was already unchecked but I checked it and unchecked it again.

There is potential for the messages database to become corrupted and all stored messages disappear, however this is a bug in the android os itself and is not for specific phones

texting over five pages, my phone automatically convert the text into a mms which is stupid because what if the person on the other end can't receive mms due to service charge. I check the setting in found nothing about sms converting to mms . Is there a fix to this? Or do I have to spilt the text into two
Sent from my HTC Glacier using XDA Premium App
Not to be an ass, but why would you even be texting 5 pages in the first place? If you typing so many pages you should calling instead.

I saw on the new sidekick the messaging app lets you message a group then when someone replies everyone gets the reply. Does anyone know where I can get that apk or a similar app to that? Thanks in advance......
Sent from my HTC Glacier using XDA App
Why would you even want that? Anyways, I believe the mt4g already makes group messeging.
Sent from my HTC Glacier using XDA App
I want it because when I'm trying to set up an event everyone can see what's going on so I don't have to send all these messages
